Yes crisis core is the prequel, ff7 is the main one. FF7 has quite a deep storyline that requires some understanding. It might be good to either play FF7 (main one) or read up the FFwikia. :)
@katethegreat19 Cannon wise, Cloud never had a thing for Aerith, you could chose to pursue a date, ut it was only a joke thing. He thought of her as a little sister, he had/has a thing for Tifa. Then when you see Aerith and Zack in Advent children you see them standing together. You have to remember, Aerith could still talk to Zack lilke he was still around, just like she did to her mother. She always kept that attatchment to him, though she liked Cloud because he reminder her of Zack.
@SMGxSeshaBeowulf Aerith was a character with so much love in her, so yes the song is about love :) but I didn't limit it to any particular type of love. Mothers love their children. Sisters love their brothers. Friends love their friends. And yes lovers love each other. The beauty of love is that it is absolutely universal. In my lyrics, I didn't limit Aerith's love to simply romantic. I would never do that to her.

Just because she hooked up with Zack after death doesn't mean she didn't develop feelings for Cloud. She also wouldn't have talked to Zack after he died until she did because in the Novella detailing her experiances inthe Lifestream she meets Zack and is surprised he's dead.

I can truly say that this song saved me. It gave me comfort when I thought I losy someone and I felt as though he was singing this to me and in the whole day I felt comfort for the first time...I felt as though he was actually there next to me even though I cannot see him. I had had a nightmare about him and this soothed me to see that he was there all this time...And forever would he stay... Thank you!
:/ Aeris and Cloud shared a brotherxSister love, less than a romantic love. Aeris and Zack were more romantic with each other than Aeris and Cloud. It's not that Cloud and Aeris couldn't fall in love, but Aeris's heart was somewhere else already. She did however go with Cloud because she liked him. But Cloud wanted to protect her as a brother. And Aeris wanted to help Cloud like a sister. make sense? If you really pay attention to the storyline and the script it makes sense.
The impossible has been made possible. You took one of the most memorable melodies from one of the most memorable rpgs and made it better. For that I thank you.

I have to admit, this is actually one of my LEAST favorite of Nobuo's more popular compositions...and you just made it one of my favorite. Most arrangements of it make the mistake of giving it too much force, but you've perfectly captured the delicate sorrow of the piece that I thought I felt the first time I heard it. I can truly say that this song saved me. It gave me comfort when I thought I losy someone and I felt as though he was singing this to me and in the whole day I felt comfort for the first time...I felt as though he was actually there next to me even though I cannot see him. I had had a nightmare about him and this soothed me to see that he was there all this time...And forever would he stay... Thank you!

It's not that Cloud and Aeris couldn't fall in love, but Aeris's heart was somewhere else already. She did however go with Cloud because she liked him. But Cloud wanted to protect her as a brother. And Aeris wanted to help Cloud like a sister. make sense? If you really pay attention to the storyline and the script it makes sense.

I have to admit, this is actually one of my LEAST favorite of Nobuo's more popular compositions...and you just made it one of my favorite. Most arrangements of it make the mistake of giving it too much force, but you've perfectly captured the delicate sorrow of the piece that I thought I felt the first time I heard it. I love this track. I can't listen to it too often as it makes me weepy. It always has since the first time i heard it playing FFVII years ago. And this version is so awesome. This song made me really watery eyed, and i'm a fairly reclusive dude, I've never really lost anyone that I've held really dear, at least not yet, but when I picture this as a message to me from some of the people in my life that I hold dear and when you sing "Because I love you." something in my souls just gets set off and I get really emotional. After watching this video i felt compelled to create an account on youtube just so i could comment on this master piece. If you brough out an album i would definately download and purchase it. I remember coming home from school one day to find my dad playing this game (i was in grade 4) and from that moment i was hooked. @katethegreat19 I figured her theme would be more challenging considering how much deeper her role and story is in the game. Being raised by an evil army as a weapon with no free will for 16 years and when she finally regains it, she suffers from memory loss and finds herself in the middle of a war :( But then again, after hearing this BEAUTIFUL arrangement as well as your FF9 work, I know you can pull it off ;)
