  • wonderful vdo and music, different way of flying.

  • random snow board shot thrown in there, ha.

  • beter then clasik

  • I wonder how you control collapses, spirals an turbolent conditions without brakes...

  • Looks to me like their having loads of fun.Why is everybody bitching about their choice of equipment?

  • Ahh.... The beauty of flying free as a bird.... in a cage....

  • @Bartalaa ahahahahahahah!!!!!!

  • try hanggliding! seriously! I fly paragliders and hanggliders - and If you feel like going further, faster and controlling the AoA directly then hg is much better! This cage really takes away all the advantages that PGs have + it looks pretty ..., well lets say, not that cool.

  • 1:07 Gijon, Asturias... was this shot completeley in Asturies ?

  • Great for wheel chairs, like weight using arms only?

  • Great weight shift for wheel chair paraglider pilots?

  • looks very dynamic and smooth...but who wants to fly with such a gear in front of your face?!

  • How Much? When? Where? How?We are interested but must know more!

  • Has some Parallels with hang gliding??

  • Interesting and probably quite efficient but had never caught on.

  • What are the advantages? Less chance of collapse?

If so I'd say a great innovation, with one change. You should put four straps coming from the cage to the support harness. I'm too afraid of a strap break to depend on one!

  • why exactly four?

you could easily over-do safety in this, but consider the easy turnover in one strap method. you could put 4 in one point whatever. one advantage i could think of is getting rid of rizer-twists completely.

maybe it's more stable. dunno. but more stable isn't always an advantage.

  • that was me, for the record(shared computer mess-up)

  • great innovation!!!

  • When he is dry, how do you unhook him? ;-) Just kidding, but it looks a little strange.

  • Excellent vid. Thanks

  • Take a look at my video and it will give you some idea of the control method. It is not weight shift per se but direct pitch and roll control. You effectively steer the direction you want to go and because the wing keeps it's shape there is no loss of efficiency in a turn. Collapses are handled by tilting the appropriate section of cage ie pitch up the front to counter a front collapse etc.

  • Before you nay-sayers weigh in your opinions based on one viewing of a you tube video you might want to actually read about it. It is not only easier to control than a paraglider but it is also easier to clear collapses with the central "big ears" handle. Ive actually seen one in real life and they are a LOT more graceful than a regular paraglider. It is the result of decades of design and testing by a respected wing designer, not some crazy basement idea. Read before you claim authority.

  • Looks quite dangerous and senseless and yes, I also wonder if it has any advantages..

  • schwachsinn. try to get a license at the DHV

  • The idea is a bit strange and I think it's difficult to have glidercontrol in thermal conditions and to do things like b-stall and so on, but DHV is no argument. DHV SUCKS!!!

Long time ago they have done something FOR the sport...

  • Collapse? Fechar? What's that? A new sport? O que é isso? Um desporto novo? Hang Glide dudes !Asa Delta é a resposta para os vossos males... :oD Bons Voos ! Have nice flights!

  • coisa de americano estúpido!!!

  • it looks like you could "weight shift" turn without leaning into it.

  • e se fechar?

    ai quero ver....

    bons voos ai galera...

    mas batoque na mão!!!

    hahahahahahahaha

    boa sorte pra esses caras...

  • absolute crap! u can NOT handle a collapse! but u may use the cage for driyng your cloth ;)

  • How do you handle a collapse with this cage?

  • I wonder What are the advantages exactly?

  • @jurjan feet don't get cold

  • @jurjan So retarded hang glider pilots have an easy transition

  • Em time que está ganhando não se mexe.

  • very nıce flıght thıs flıght seems to easy have a good flıghts all paraglıders best regards from ADANA-TURKEY

  • heiii verry nice. one time i try too!

    See you on the sky!

  • Great to see the "Elogio al horizonte" sculpture of Chillida in Gijón (Spain) between 1:03 and 1:08. It has been very unexpected. :-)

  • Have you used it in SIV..? Looks like trouble for a reserve deployment! What are the rewards?

  • weight shifting a paraglider makes sense to a hanglider pilot ie. not braking to steer!

  • I think this cage thing is like an enhanced control system for a paraplegic's use if their arms aren't quite strong enough to pull down on the trailing risers.

  • It's safer not to use words you're not quite sure of :) Paraplegic is someone with his legs paralyzed, not hands - there is quite a number of clips here on youtube with paraplegics flying normal gear.

  • u could have just bought a hang glider ;)

  • I've got one also, and this single (and comfortable) hanging point you have, either with a hang glider or a Cage is one of the reason to fly with both of them!

  • hehe! i agree mate!
