That's why it's called "Rumors" It's been a year now lol. You know after 3 years of not having Backwards Compatibly with my PS3. I still have my PS2 working after 7 FUCKING YEARS! Having Backwards Compatibility would be a really nice touch. Also what's this BS that PS3's life is coming to an end? 2009 was it's best year! Playstation Move is coming out, and with the price cut last year, sales are going higher.

I don't know, But I remember when the ps3 wasn't released yet and 360 was short on backwards compatibility,all ps3 fan boys laugh and said sony's going 2 do backwad-compat ,yet Microsoft never promised backward compatibility but they did in large numbers there's about 200 games from Xbox 1st gen that we can play on Xbox 360. I hope this is true. I like BC!!! I don't own a PS3 but I do love to play the Metal Gear Solid Collection and GTA Collections for PS2. I would say GOW collection but Imma trade it in for the rerelease enhanced graphics PS3 copy. If it is confirmed, Im going to get the PS3 slim and MGS4 Limited Edition if I can find it. already preordered the force unleased utimate sith edition for PS3. Just deciding on getting the 60gb and upgrading or justby the slim and wait for the update.

Good for you Sony! Now you can proudly boast the PS3 is the ONLY console on the market that doesnt offer compatibility with its predecessor! I know on Xbox 360 its pretty shit, but its better than none at all, they grew some balls and they owned up early. Anyway, Xbox 360 can play Xbox games, Wii can play Gamecube games, PS2 can play PSone games, and DS can play GBA games. N/A for PSP obviously. Why are so many people distrusting Sony? Because theyre FUCK GREEDY.

I know, I had a MegaDrive emulator on there when I had one. N64? Is there enough buttons? Anyway, I meant its the first Sony handheld so it obviously isnt preceeded by anything. But anyway, they made backwards compat mainstream, just because they cant be bothered to own up and say they fucked over the owners with the 40GB and160GB with about 15 false excuses doesnt mean to say they cant implement it in future PS3s.

what i hate is how recent games, especially this generations, the developers are putting all their time in the graphics and not enough in gameplay and game length. i mean, i remember how long it it took me to beat mgs1. 20+ hours. old school games were more hardcore. games these days are TOO easy. i beat gta4 in 11 hours. no cheats. the old days were a lot better. i would have like to been really into gaming as i was now cuz if i was able to beat those games, todays games were be a breeze

20 hours to beat MGS1? My fastest time was under 3. Play it again. Its a much shorter game than MGS 4.

The only games this gen that are lacking in single player are the ones that are meant to be played in multiplayer e.g FPS games and even then they are 10 hours + (Resistance 2)

GTA 4 was short but its still a 20 hour game unless you blitz through it without doing side missions. Then of course theres limitless play with online.

yea thats true. although uncharted was a pretty short game, i beat it 6 times and not once have i gotten bored. i learn a new thing everytime. my 7th and 8th should be done by the time uncharted 2 comes out. now thats a game that wont dissappoint

If you want a good FPS with story get The Orange Box (unbeatable value) or Bioshock.
