I Feel like this could have went on The Downward Spiral or The Fragile. Or maybe the remastered version of PHM, they could have put it before Terrible Lie. Amazing song. =]
@CruelMelody08 I suppose because the other mic was connected to diffrent line of effects and processors. Probably there even was a different type of mic in there. When he sang Now I'm Nothing the mic stand had a delay trigger on it. It's connected to MainStage on a MacBook. You can see Trent pressing it at 1:25. And when Terrible Lie starts they change the mic and stuff to get more of the aggressiveness out of Trent's voice.
@seanneal1983 You missed the lead singer of JA falling on his ass though. It was misting and the stage was damp, he tried to jump on top of one of the speakers and slipped. It was funny as hell.
i had the pleasure to see them twice in chicago and got a soundcheck and meet and greet. the ticket has "the great below" in Trent's handwriting. Epic.
@davism4a1 When i saw them in Phoenix for this tour, they at least waited till dark to send them out, but yea Janes addiction was on after. It seems that they got that shit backwards, everyone knows NIN goes on last!!!
That bass on 1:20....damn....it reminds me of NIN in the old days...even though I wasn't even alive then XD...But yes...that bass....it like...breathes...it's alive...
So I saw this show when NINJA hit NJ. Why this song is not still playing in my head from the moment he sang the first note, is beyond me. I'm thinking it was a million degrees that day and I must've been suffering from heat stroke.
@garoad yeah but u will never hear it live again, guess its that much more special, is to me cuz i seen it go down on this 27th day of may 2009, in Kansas City, probably yhr best show the starlight theatre has ever seen
Yeah i saw this tour in phoenix and NIN simply knocked us on our asses. Janes addiction paled in comparison on many levels. They could not match the intensity, nor the unique soundscape that is NIN. Trent is a legend.
yeah i saw the wave goodbye or waving goodbye in phoenix and NIN simply tore us a new asshole (not that we need anymore), they completely stole the show and janes addiction sucked because they simply didnt match the energy, intensity and soundscape that Trent brings to the table
The worst part about all these NIN videos, is that @chaonatic didn't get the chance to lose his fucking mind all over the place when the shit got heavy. HE DID IT FOR ALL OF US.
Great Video, man. Saw this in the o2 arena London. This song and Metal with Gary Numan were the highlights for me! Thanks for such a great quality video of it!
I smashed myself to pieces I'm gonna fuck myself up I'm sifting through the ashes Of what I have become I gave myself away Now I'm nothing I let it slip away Now I'm nothing All that I can do Is break myself in two I fucked it all away Now I'm nothing Wave goodbye
I wish i would have seen this at waving goodbye. He played some weird shit in IN (he even said "We're playing some weird shit tonight". Home, The Downward Spiral, Eraser. It was fun. I didn't know how to feel about JA being the last performance. My preference was Lights in the Sky tour, Indoor and up close.
@pig66pv once NIN was done and Janes addiction came on, everyone left. fucking bastards shoulda had JA play during the day, and then let the raver NIN fans see NIN after dark. but no we will put NIN on during the daylight and Janes addiction on after dark, brilliant u fuckin JA fags
i love this song every time i try and find it the volume is so low and i can barely hear it and if he does make a song from it it should have its own CD with remixes and the original song
I'm glad that didn't put this on an album, not because it's bad, I think it's great! But because it gives a song a mystique and gives you a right to brag about seeing it live!
They did it at the O2, when I saw them. It was awesome!
@Nogli I was there man, I was there. however, at first I did not know what this was. I liked it when they came on and started playing without dimming the lights :P
@antmg1092 in my opinion trent really seems to judge his songs and choose his songs very carefully...you probably can find 20 songs that he rote that were made by another band that are just pure gold...well maybe not 20
OMFG, this is the whole video. If I were to post Terrible Lie, would you say, "Wish the whole video was posted"?

As for being a kid, well I am 32 years old. Maybe you should respond like an adult to people's comments before you assume they are of a lesser age than you. It would be the adult thing to do.

boundandfallen: I feel for you, truly. I realize this was the "farewell" tour but I have this funny feeling NIN isn't really over... at least not permanently. Oh, it'll be a while, but they'll be back eventually. There was somewhat of a hiatus between Downward Spiral and The Fragile, and another one between The Fragile and With Teeth... I'd be very surprised if he hangs up his mic for good.
he said this wasnt it, what he said was that nin is done touring for good, takes up too much of his time which he is now using for a few projects outside of nin, honestly o expect a new album or ghosts volume by the end of spring
This is fantastic. Please add more or, even better, torrent this entire bootleg. You've done an amazing thing and we all appreciate it immensely. Thank you :)
Last night rocked ... that he would open with a statement of "Wave Goodbye" ... then after Hurt ... walk offstage holding his hand up in the same position ... it was over ... and you knew it ... and it was bittersweet. I am just so glad to have been a part of it.
This song hasn't been played live since 1991 where they would open shows with this song. In particular the first Lollapalooza with Jane's Addiction! But the short answer is its never been recorded to an album only a song played live!
Very very nice! But I'd like to see the video + Terrible Lie

Holy shit this quality is incredible. Got to love NIN fans being so advanced in technology. :)

just like them.... they don´t even use amps anymore... they use logic´s mainstage as their main sound processor

you probarly don't know two shits about this stuff, because mainstage works as a virtual rig/router, not as a sound processor.

amazing video, by far one of the best non official videos i've ever seen of NIN.
What camera did you use for this? and is there more videos?

Last night rocked ... that he would open with a statement of "Wave Goodbye" ... then after Hurt ... walk offstage holding his hand up in the same position ... it was over ... and you knew it ... and it was bittersweet. I am just so glad to have been a part of it.

in which CD is this song?
euginius13 2 years ago
This song hasn't been played live since 1991 where they would open shows with this song. In particular the first Lollapalooza with Jane's Addiction! But the short answer is its never been recorded to an album only a song played live!
omikrondreamer 2 years ago
it was never released on any album but you can find good copies of it all over the NINternet
