  • Very very nice! But I'd like to see the video + Terrible Lie

  • Was this in Kansas City at the Starlight Theatre? I was at this show!!! Amazing show. Thank you for this video.. :D

  • this is so intense...

  • I Feel like this could have went on The Downward Spiral or The Fragile. Or maybe the remastered version of PHM, they could have put it before Terrible Lie. Amazing song. =]

  • I'm in love with this song...Trent nails it. Not the young Trent anymore but still sings with such passion.

  • Trent Reznor is God!

Fuck Jesus Christ and fuck you all!

  • Wow Trent sings with some soul.

  • gay

  • i've been to about 10 nin concerts in my life > and this > and then this....omfg

  • i've been to about 10 nin concerts in my life > and this > and then this....omfg

  • this song will never be so awesome like it was in 1989 - 1991 x)

  • @blacklightburns100 Well no shit.

  • where can i download this song

  • why'd that dude change Trent's mic stand for???

  • @CruelMelody08 I suppose because the other mic was connected to diffrent line of effects and processors. Probably there even was a different type of mic in there. When he sang Now I'm Nothing the mic stand had a delay trigger on it. It's connected to MainStage on a MacBook. You can see Trent pressing it at 1:25. And when Terrible Lie starts they change the mic and stuff to get more of the aggressiveness out of Trent's voice.

  • I left when ja come on. I cant stand whats his names voice. Trent losing his voice sounded better.

  • @seanneal1983 You missed the lead singer of JA falling on his ass though. It was misting and the stage was damp, he tried to jump on top of one of the speakers and slipped. It was funny as hell.

  • Love this tune

  • Oh my fucking god, this quality is delicious!

  • i had the pleasure to see them twice in chicago and got a soundcheck and meet and greet. the ticket has "the great below" in Trent's handwriting. Epic.

  • @davism4a1 When i saw them in Phoenix for this tour, they at least waited till dark to send them out, but yea Janes addiction was on after. It seems that they got that shit backwards, everyone knows NIN goes on last!!!

  • ....whoa........WOW!

  • That bass on 1:20....damn....it reminds me of NIN in the old days...even though I wasn't even alive then XD...But yes...that bass....it like...breathes...it's alive...

  • So I saw this show when NINJA hit NJ. Why this song is not still playing in my head from the moment he sang the first note, is beyond me. I'm thinking it was a million degrees that day and I must've been suffering from heat stroke.

  • hell yeah. janes addiction sucked. left before they finished playing their 2nd song

  • We tend to forget this, bue damn, that guy can sing!

  • Man könnte heulen, weil so geil ist :)

  • jesus christ... that fucking vibrato when he says " break myself in two" gives me the fucking chills

  • I was backstage for this show. It was amazing.

  • The guy who yelled "YEAH!" obviously knew what was about to go down...

  • I LOOOOOOOVE this song.

In a way, I'm glad Trent never put this on an album. Just makes it that more special to hear live.

  • @garoad yeah but u will never hear it live again, guess its that much more special, is to me cuz i seen it go down on this 27th day of may 2009, in Kansas City, probably yhr best show the starlight theatre has ever seen

  • Yeah i saw this tour in phoenix and NIN simply knocked us on our asses. Janes addiction paled in comparison on many levels. They could not match the intensity, nor the unique soundscape that is NIN. Trent is a legend.

  • @rkid2434 did they put NIN on in the daylight, then Janes addiction on after dark?

  • yeah i saw the wave goodbye or waving goodbye in phoenix and NIN simply tore us a new asshole (not that we need anymore), they completely stole the show and janes addiction sucked because they simply didnt match the energy, intensity and soundscape that Trent brings to the table

  • Rip your MP3's people, this is probably the best recording of this song you can get.

  • how do rip off youtube?

  • Comment removed

  • that was awesome!

  • The worst part about all these NIN videos, is that @chaonatic didn't get the chance to lose his fucking mind all over the place when the shit got heavy. HE DID IT FOR ALL OF US.

  • Great Video, man. Saw this in the o2 arena London. This song and Metal with Gary Numan were the highlights for me! Thanks for such a great quality video of it!

  • ha janes addiction came on as NIN was going off, every one left except like 50 ppl, who wants to watch a queer bounce around?

  • dude i was there at the KC show!!! thanx for the flashback

  • thumbs down...why you no like???

  • I smashed myself to pieces I'm gonna fuck myself up I'm sifting through the ashes Of what I have become I gave myself away Now I'm nothing I let it slip away Now I'm nothing All that I can do Is break myself in two I fucked it all away Now I'm nothing Wave goodbye

  • Dude! Your filming is Amazing !~ props 2 ya mate~

  • Man I love this version.

  • I WAS FUCKING THERE!

  • oh my I just can't get enough of this.... *shivers*... hot hot hot.

  • does anybody know what that thing in his right hand is on the mic stand to control the echo or what ever it is?

  • @bullsfan93 theres more likely then not a sound man controlling the echo, nothing to do with the mic

  • No he controls the echo's through his mic stand. He's talked about this before, although I don't know what it's called.

  • @bullsfan93 Sure is. You can see him use it to create the echo. You can also see the stage help switch mic's for terrible lie.

  • I wish i would have seen this at waving goodbye. He played some weird shit in IN (he even said "We're playing some weird shit tonight". Home, The Downward Spiral, Eraser. It was fun. I didn't know how to feel about JA being the last performance. My preference was Lights in the Sky tour, Indoor and up close.

  • Keep watching as I'll be uploading more from IN soon (unfortunately it's not anywhere near as close, save for the backstage and soundcheck stuff.)

  • @pig66pv once NIN was done and Janes addiction came on, everyone left. fucking bastards shoulda had JA play during the day, and then let the raver NIN fans see NIN after dark. but no we will put NIN on during the daylight and Janes addiction on after dark, brilliant u fuckin JA fags

  • ohmyGODDDD

  • Perfect

  • i love this song every time i try and find it the volume is so low and i can barely hear it and if he does make a song from it it should have its own CD with remixes and the original song

  • I wish Trent would make a full song out of this. It's really amazing and shows just how much amazing little music can be found in Trent's art.

  • I'm glad that didn't put this on an album, not because it's bad, I think it's great! But because it gives a song a mystique and gives you a right to brag about seeing it live!

They did it at the O2, when I saw them. It was awesome!

  • @Nogli So did I! :D

  • @Nogli I was there man, I was there. however, at first I did not know what this was. I liked it when they came on and started playing without dimming the lights :P

  • I went to 2 shows this year and now i know im blessed for that. Hell of a job chaonatic, thanks.

  • why the hell did they not put this on an album?

  • because it is rare and perfect :]

  • @antmg1092 in my opinion trent really seems to judge his songs and choose his songs very carefully...you probably can find 20 songs that he rote that were made by another band that are just pure gold...well maybe not 20

  • @antmg1092 im pretty sure some1 remastered they're performance at lolapoloza (bad spelling) you can find it probably

  • @antmg1092 Yeah I've been wondering the same thing! This is amazing.

  • does any find the tune to this similar to that of Ghost 18?

  • Thanks for posting, Wish the whole video was posted but no worries :-)

  • OMFG, this is the whole video. If I were to post Terrible Lie, would you say, "Wish the whole video was posted"?

If you want to watch Now I'm Nothing into Terrible Lie, well I have it up in that form too. In fact, if you look over to the right just a few little inches, you'll probably see it in the Related Videos section.

Kids these days, effing hopeless I tell ya!

  • @chaonatic youtube.com/watch?v=yn-arvfoY0Q

  • I live here, didnt go for some reason, got to see them in 05 atleast.

  • the dude was right about not putting the entire video :/

no offense to you bro...but it takes away from the mood.

  • And again I say look before you leap... Damn, is it just me or does it seem like everyone on the interwebs need their links spoon fed to them?

  • Eh you're right. Sorry about that.

  • Um, why wasn't this on the album? Perfect into

  • What the fuck why didn't you post the whole video? That's idea of the goddamn intro to terrible lie. Shit cuts off when it gets exciting.

  • Moron, you even check the rest of my videos? Fucking twat.

  • If I'm any kind of "not-retarded-NIN-fan"? Hmm, I went to 8 of their shows in the last year, including the final LiTS show and the final Wave Goodbye show (which is also the last show period.) How many shows did you attend?

Nice Nails videos, btw... Oh wait, all you have are video game clips. I can see what a true fan you are.

  • wtf is up with people being dicks to you on your videos man? I am greatfull you put up the 5.27.09 videos because thats the show I went to for the wave goodbye tour. Thanks Chaonatic!

  • You went to this show? You lucky bastard, lol. How was it?

As I've said before, I would've given anything to go to a NIN concert.

  • Yup yup. The show kicked ass you can watch it on Chaonatic's page he's uploaded the whole thing. Thanks again Chaonatic.

  • Yeah no problem, glad you're enjoying them! :D

  • Not "Wouldve" wait ten or so years for their reunion tour with Danny, Charlie, Chris Vrenna or Jerome on drums and Robin. :)

  • I was at this show but was a little upset. The only real goodie we got in KC was "pysical". I love now im nothing but this was probably his weakest performance of the whole tour.

  • after listening to that song all these years from some shitty vhs rip, its wonderful to be able to hear it the way it was intended to be. it such a shame that i have never gotten to see him perform live in person and now i never will.

  • so righteous

  • I was at this show. Great performance but his "Now im nothing" in Tampa is easily the best performance of the song from the whole tour.

  • Simply fantastic. Twenty years later, Trent is still a god.

  • the audio on this is killer!

  • I think the song "we're in this together" destroyed his vocal cords.

  • This gives me the chills all around my body. I haven't heard anyone create more beautiful music than Trent. If someone says "Send me a beautiful song" I just tell them to google Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails.

  • "I am sifting through the ashes. Oh what have i become..."

    This is amazingly done thanks.

  • Thank u.

    Gryce

  • nonoo es terribleeeeee, no hay palabras para describirlo, pasan los años y cada vez mejor.

    fuck english, just wonderfull

  • Wonderful!

  • this was the concert i missed out on because i got a new job.. i requested it off and they didn't give it to me.. then after comming to work for 11 hours because someone else called off, they fired me the next week. :( i actually still have the ticket..

i found this song on limewire along time ago and it's on my travel cd.. i fucking love this song and i fucking missed it :,( dammit..

    i'll miss nin :(

    i <3 Trent..

  • they are still having more concerts in the us later this year..

  • boundandfallen: I feel for you, truly. I realize this was the "farewell" tour but I have this funny feeling NIN isn't really over... at least not permanently. Oh, it'll be a while, but they'll be back eventually. There was somewhat of a hiatus between Downward Spiral and The Fragile, and another one between The Fragile and With Teeth... I'd be very surprised if he hangs up his mic for good.

  • he said this wasnt it, what he said was that nin is done touring for good, takes up too much of his time which he is now using for a few projects outside of nin, honestly o expect a new album or ghosts volume by the end of spring

  • Thats right,, again people only here what they wanted... NIN will be back one way or another, and if his not touring NIN could go in any direction.

  • thats so amazing they played this

  • jesus. CHRIST!

  • the melody in the first 12 seconds = totally awesome... is there any fullversion? sounds like ghosts

  • can't wait to see this in chicago!!!

    trent reznor rocks my world!!!

  • I saw this live at O2 and didnt even know what song it was. Liked it so much I just covered it, check it out if you have a spare moment!

  • loved it man - very good - been thinking about doing that myself!!!

  • thanks dude, appreciate it! feel free to comment it too. If you also do a cover send it my way!

  • Yeah man, very nice! Send it as a video response and I'll post it.

    Cheers :)

  • Awesome! a great opener I was at the O2 show also & it gave me shivers then & the same effect now. Thanks for uploading this.

  • this was better than the o2 show minus gary numan

  • They used this as the intro to the O2 show. I had no idea what it was til I looked up the setlist. So good.

  • me too and ive been a fan for 15 years!!

  • WTF they brought this back???

  • I watched this video like 8 times today

  • I have the same question that Beefeeorange had.

Does anybody know what's that melody before the drums come in. Sounds so familiar.

  • downward spiral (the song)

  • I want to know too! I know that alot of this song is sampled from Somewhat Damaged, but that is still a mistery to me

  • How could this be sampled from Somewhat Damaged?? It was written 7/8 years earlier. It's sampled from Terrible Lie.

  • No....They sampled this song for somewhat damaged.

  • It ALMOST sounds like "Love will tear us apart" by Joy Division. Thats all I can really think of.

  • i love TR but He dress to normal for this one.

  • I think he's become a pretty normal guy (which is a compliment)

  • From what I hear, according to other sources (fans), the man is trying to become a family man.

I'm all for it. He needs a long break. Not retirement. Not yet.

We LOVE him too much for him to retire now.

  • I believe he's getting married sometime this year, but No clue when I don't remember to whom lol

  • this is the best NIN footage ever !!! the way robin strolls in at the end.... what a way to say goodbye.. thanx chaonatic

  • ha, falsetto XD

  • Don't get me wrong, that is a great song, I just like the one from lollapalooza more. I hope nin keeps up the suprises.

  • AMAZING

  • great video... cool song!

  • Great quality here, my man. You had some fucking awesome seats for this show.

Can't believe after, what, 18 years? They finally brought this song back. Thanks for the upload.

  • fuck, that gave me shivers

  • What's that for a melody before the drums are coming?

  • holy shit, Now I'm Nothing in 2009?

  • this song is freakin awesome

  • I didn't know Banana Republic sponsors NIN. Who knew ;)

  • lol

  • how do u know that??

  • did you film terrible lie? I ripped the audio from this so I can jam to it but it doesn't sound right without terrible lie.

  • saw em last nite, LOVED IT!!

  • think i like the 1994 one better. but still AWESOME!

  • AWESOME! (too bad Now I'm Nothing was last performed in 1991)

  • Excellent recording...thanks!

  • Saw them last night, holy fuck that was too fucking good. Great footage btw.

    @radovest: He is God, indeed.

  • i can see that trent is Horrors fan, because the show i went to last they were playing one of theirs songs to before they went on.

  • Comment removed

  • Well, who's playing last ? lol

  • Jane's Addiction. It goes Street Sweeper Social Club, then NIN, then JA.

  • they are co- headlining

  • Who's headlining this tour nine inch nails or Jane's?

  • Your videos are fucking PHENOMENAL. Any chance of a torrent being released with all the footage?

  • DITTO, friggin awesome videos. Torrent that!

  • what was that little tune being played before the song. For some reason it sounds so familiar...

  • This won't be the last time we see Trent Reznor & Nine Inch Nails. He will be back - take to the bank...

  • I was at this show. Love, LOVE this.... thanks!

  • I just saw this show in colorado!! This guy DEFINITLY had better seats though...

  • Holy shit this quality is incredible. Got to love NIN fans being so advanced in technology. :)

  • just like them.... they don´t even use amps anymore... they use logic´s mainstage as their main sound processor

  • you probarly don't know two shits about this stuff, because mainstage works as a virtual rig/router, not as a sound processor.

  • amazing video, by far one of the best non official videos i've ever seen of NIN.

What camera did you use for this? and is there more videos?

  • i always love your videos! thanks :)

  • awesome. you can see him using the echo button thing on his microphone stand. amazing audio quality too!

  • Fantastic. Best recording of Now I'm Nothing EVER.

  • This is fantastic. Please add more or, even better, torrent this entire bootleg. You've done an amazing thing and we all appreciate it immensely. Thank you :)

  • You have to get Terrible Lie up too. The song segwayed perfectly in to it.

  • brilliant, clear, wonderful, thanks for this!

  • Last night rocked ... that he would open with a statement of "Wave Goodbye" ... then after Hurt ... walk offstage holding his hand up in the same position ... it was over ... and you knew it ... and it was bittersweet. I am just so glad to have been a part of it.

  • Let me know when/if you upload a torrent of this stuff

--the guy who sat next to you.

  • in which CD is this song?

  • This song hasn't been played live since 1991 where they would open shows with this song. In particular the first Lollapalooza with Jane's Addiction! But the short answer is its never been recorded to an album only a song played live!

  • it was never released on any album but you can find good copies of it all over the NINternet

  • Amazing video!! I hope you have more...mine was junk compared to this!!

  • hell yeah man. lets see some more. i wanted to hit kc and chicago but could only do a few of the shows out here in the west. keep em comin
