  • War: lie after lie.

  • I'm not against communism. In fact, it actually sounds great on paper but the problem with this kind of goverment is that no one would be motivated enough to work more than their neighbors when they're receiving equal wages.

  • This is sad its the same people seperated becuz there goverment and killing each other

  • 4.14 -Kamikaze

  • if north korea attacks, 240p meets you again

  • Incredible good movie, it shows a perspective from both sides, it diesnt say one side is evil and the other side is good like many other war movies.

Epic, just epic and this is the only war movie that made me cry at the end where he finds his brother again

  • How can I ever thank all the brave men that served in this war on the democratic side....?

How will I ever be able to pay my respects to each and every one of these heroes....?

    :'(

  • m1 garand vs mosin nagant...

  • @hubert6988 M1 GARANDWINS :D

  • @MrErickim2001 PUT PUT PUT PUT PUT PINGG!!!

  • what made the korean war especially shity, for everyone, was the terrain... its mainly barren mountains and hills, no jungles, no flat land, all of it is just barren hills.. makes for espcially nasty combat situations...

  • Bullets will totally destroy aircraft...

  • @cirasoni09 your dumb. go learn what saved north korea's ass in the first year in the war.

  • a spy? what fucking spy would enter this area and surrender? xD

  • how the hell did the south NOT win this? legit they had tanks, airplane, artillery, men, like wtf...

  • @legomyeggo123 the chinese were fuckin huge in numbers :/

  • @rabidkoreann i thought they were korean?

  • @legomyeggo123 noooo flag unit is chinese i think... well i know that at the point when south korea retreated in the movie at the snowy place, that army charging was china. china basically saved north korea's ass -___-

  • @rabidkoreann all the communist countries have 'flag unit's, which are their elite forces. it's originated from the soviet union.

  • @rabidkoreann flag unit it n.korean

  • @rabidkoreann The Chinese ravage halted by a bunch of Filipinos called 10th BCT!

  • @AkiraChii28 yeah right

  • shouldve saved up the altilery and cannon power for those chinese

  • battle of the 38th parralel

  • the guy at the end of this part is a beast LOL

  • @rarerayrules do you read Wiki about Yultong Bridge, and Google about Miudong-Syngue,Hill Eerie and Imjin!all info are accurate.

  • it's sad to see brother fighting against brother.

  • @expertstrategy Yup thats the night mare I have everyday...

  • 04:22 : What can remain of the Corsair pilot, after that ? Not to mention the dudes he crashed on ... :-/

  • @rarerayrules

"china was dominant in tht war"

Yeah, in numbers. In anything else, I really doubt it. But well, I haven't spoken with Korea vets, so it's just imho.

  • @rarerayrules you forgot Philippines, though outnumbered...defeated Chinese to help UN retreat.

  • maybe this battle was Osan,Pyongtaek or Chochiwon.

    @DaTOnEBLaCKGuY01 please upload Forgotten War.

  • I LOVE FLAG UNIT!!!! I AM FLAG UNIT!!!!!!

  • wow look at how every bullet and bombardments all seem to land exactly where he was 1 second before.

  • i blame north for this war

  • the emblem on the tank....American Star????

  • @AkiraChii28 american and south are allies so they were involved too

  • u know what? i just learned alot of history lessons in the comment section

    lol

  • the younger brother hella change since from the beginning on the train. he's been through war and now is one badass motherfucker. hats off for the younger brother!!!

  • this battle scene really remind me of WW1. People sit on trenches for days then wait for orders to charge at the no-man-land through the hells of machine gun and mortal fire.

  • Did y'all know Americans were monsters in the Korean War? MacArthur (a failure, in my opinion) was planning the largest bombing the world would ever see, using ONLY atomic bombs. He was planning on bombing the ENTIRE border between Korean and China, blocking it with a radiation field that would last for decades. Then, America bombed almost every single NK city with millions of tons of napalm, damaging them much worse than Hiroshima. There are even people who's skin is purple from the napalm.

  • @Dwkim91 Hey can you remind us who started the Korean War by invading South Korea first? Thanks.

  • @420Guitar420 The North Korea started a Korean war when they rolled into the SK trying to reunify it under communism. The US and NATO did not want to see that from happening so they send troops to help prevent SK from being communist.

  • @Hperman09 I know that...I was being facetious towards Dwkim91 and his stupid comment.

  • @Dwkim91 Who ask Communist China to help and who ask North Korea to start the war???? In fact actually the South Koreans also destroyed many towns and cities too. What about the South Korean cities they are ruined more worse by the North Koreans.

  • I remember this scene, and it truly is my favorite because it depicts war in a realistic manner, but seriously whats up with the plane sounding exactly like a ju 87 when it crashes in 4:11?

  • FLAG UNITTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Damn this film is starting to get interesting, too bad most of this film is terrible. I was expecting the main character to start walking away from explosions in slow motion and have catchy one liners with the way he was dodging bullets and encouraging people to fight.

  • Honestly people on here talking about how good communism CAN BE, stop don't talking about how good it CAN BE, talk about for what is IS, it;s BAD look at the NK human rights etc.

  • @Richi4391 everybody knows that already no us in pointing it out?

  • RED FLAG UNIT RULEZ!!!! FUCK THOSE IMPERIALISTS FROM THE SOUTH

  • @CommunismRulez FUCK YOU TOO

  • 3:37 whats that guy in the baclground lol XD

  • @rarerayrules

yea but PLA has to get permission from NK which they did. South Korea was definitely involved in Korean war, you dumbass.

  • @rarerayrules

IN the end? Do you forgot UN forces too? How about Turks, Ethopians, etc?? all were involved in the war. NK allowed China to side with them.

  • @rarerayrules

You're a dumbass. Do you know who let Chinese to go over the borderland of Amnok river?? Oh yea NKoreans. This is a same mentality like Imjin wars, Chinese only have their self-interest.

  • my uncle killed chinamen for 3 years and he did a damn good job

  • @davidmarino96

He should have killed more because they are overpopulating the whole planet ^_^

  • @rarerayrules

IT was acutally North Korean with Chinese and USA with South Korea who were fighting.

  • glory to the northen communist army

  • Tommorow is June 25th, we should remember what they were participatied by tragic Ideological confilct between S and N Korea in order to protect our human rights and freedoms with Bloody brotherhood war...RIP Koreans...and UN Solider..

  • enough with the communism is good in theory crap. If it dont work it dont work. People are addicted to the upheaval, but should dismiss the system. Unfortunately, the revolution and the commie government that follows go hand in hand.

  • @DamnHesRight12545 you do know that the US government also has communist ideals in it right? Marx originally made communism as something where everyone is equal but humans are corruptible. the capitalist "every man for himself" theory isn't the best either you know. if the US gov didn't have any involvement, we'd be in deep shit. participation of the government isn't bad. it's just the people within the government who are corrupt.

  • @rarerayrules the flag unit is the north koreans' super unit while the army in hats are north koreans' normal army..the helmet ones are the south koreans..

  • flag unit is a a pack of lions!!!

  • 4:29 talk to his enemy in the same language, rare...

  • @foodgarbage that's not rare..we, korean use same language..different intonation and accent but can understand each other.

  • Question: Did Flag Unit consist of China and North Korea?

  • @Cwalker014 it's north korea

  • @Entoprotas

    Ok, thanks. :)

  • By now Jin Sae is the RAMBO.

  • brutal. the fighting in this war was incredibly savage, amazing how it is so overlooked in the U.S. and people wonder why vets come back all fucked up...

  • Was the flag unit made up of chinese army or north koreans?

  • north koreans

  • @allstarter Jin-Tae was korean who was one of the leading soldier of the flag unit, so i guess they are North Koreans

  • lol while jin-seouk was getting bombed by his friend he musta been like "WHY DIDNT WE KICK THIS MUCH ASS BEFORE I ENETRED THIS SHITHOLE!"

  • Why do the Koreans like to melee fight?

  • cuz we're boss

  • @prosporter6

i'm not sure, but i think it's because they would be wasting a lot of bullets and seeing that under all this pressure, you can't aim so well, you'd be wasting bullets for nothing. therefore, melee fight ensures that you'll be able to kill someone. plus, both sides were so intent on protecting their side of the country, so they can be willing to throw their lives away in a fist-fight.

  • We know.

  • Air force and heavy artillery fire. Followed by infantry and armoured division....

  • question...were those american troops or south korean troops?

  • @burgersforreal South Koren

  • Holy crap that was epic. Where is the flag unit? The guy is about to answer and then he gets shot. Wow.

  • the north koreans where shitting bricks too they just wanted the whole thing to end.

  • What I've done is snag a cap from the flag unit so he won't be jumped by so many commies

  • srsly planes are imba

  • 5:00 epic fighting skillz

  • i don't know if this battle was real but i think it really represents the overall picture of the war through this one battle. the south was winning, then the north side, then the south, etc and in the end, lot of people died.

  • these subtitles are horrible

  • What battle was this?

  • Comment removed

  • Dude, I know its the korean war, im talking about the battle, not the war.

And no, I dont need to know now

  • Was Flag Unit real or was it just for the movie?

  • Comment removed

  • With or without religion man will fight to the death like this guys fighting for marxism-leninism = north korea/ democracy-religion = south korea. awesome fact.

  • Flag Unit was made up of guys just like Jin-Tae, guys who lost everything and were so consumed with hate that they could throw their lives away in an instant.

This movie is great, it shows war for what it is which is horrifying and traumatizing.

  • @JesseB954

Civil wars are the worse. I don't know why they have that name as they are anything but civil. The fact that brother is killing brother makes it especially frenzied and bloodthirsty.

  • @JesseB954 With ALOT of aggresion o_o

  • This film is freakin original and realistic for a korean film! No wonder why it was a international sucess! Most korean films contain pretty much the same storyline and directors never seem to even try to think of sth different than others.

  • u should try Silmido, Oldboy, Memories of Murder, Tazza, The Host, all excellent korean films.

but sadly, like u mentioned, most korean horrors and romances are indistinguishable.

  • Tazza didn't really have anything different from other KR films. It was still about gangsters and all. But I have seen Host and Silmido, they are excellent, directors of these films though of sth different that's why they were popular but most korean directors don't ssem to try sth diifferent like the director of this film.

  • 4:16 isnt that a bitch

  • i dont know why, but i think its hilarious how the guy that's supposed to escort him just dies so he's just left to wander around.

  • Communism is not a bad idea in fact it could of worked however it is flawed because people are flawed. In order for communism to work people need to be pure but in history you saw how people can be corrupt and want only power. North Korea is communist country because the people believed that communism is a good ideology but they failed to forget that people can take advantage of power.

  • @mrsamshin Communism is a horrible idea. Vietnam, even Russia all fell apart towards a more socialist view. It can jump start a country but will leave a country in poverty. Plus everyone will be equal but everyone will be greedy. Capitalism is the way to go!

  • @Deathofblades works on paper but never works in reality.

  • @Deathofblades true capitalism is probably the reason why communism first came into being. Communist governments claim they are socialists but they aren't really practicing it. True capitalism doesn't exist in the US as it is now more of a socialist gov't. People don't want socialism because of communism but communism is not socialism.

  • @mrsamshin Yeah communism is the form of government that looks best on paper.

  • @mrsamshin yeah i agree. they say equality... but people need equity

  • @mrsamshin yeah, not just that, but imagine a system where it didn't matter how much you worked because you'll get the same amount as the person who didn't work. Why work? when everything will given for your survival? plenty of people like that. communism or capitalism, people always find ways to abuse the system or take advantage over it.

  • @mrsamshin no 1 political ideology is better than another. Even with democracy you have the greedy, self serving elite at the top waging wars the common man has to fight. Any country, any political system, it's always about money and business at the bottom line. Democracy doesn't exist, those with power just make us think it exists by giving us a false sense of choice. Only those with power have choice!

  • @11thhourreprieve democracy has a relationship with capitalism however democracy is not a economic system, its a political system which does have its problems since people are not informed of political figures or the slow government response. Capitialism can be managed by authoritarian or oppressive regimes too. I agree that capitalism also springs up monopolies, imperialism, recession, and exploitation.

  • @11thhourreprieve Throughout the world, democracy is as often a cover for tyranny as it is a protection for liberty. For example North Korea calls itself "the Democratic People's Republic of Korea" and China calls itself the "People's Republic of China." They have elections, elected figures, and a choice of candidates. Countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America call themselves democracies but the citizens have little freedom. We elect figues but doesn't guarantee freedom or peace. >>>

  • @11thhourreprieve While democracy doesn't guarantee either freedom or peace, there are many historical examples of societies that didn't have either elections or legislatures, but in which people's rights were strongly protected.

  • in europe only switzerland can say no to things like Islamistation or mass immigration, which other countries cant.....

Thats becuase of our direct democracy.

  • @mrsamshin

    Communism is an abomination.

  • @EESASTORM All type of idealogy is an abomination

  • @mrsamshin goverment of n korea corrupted after 1994 when the todays goverment were born

  • flag unit on stimpack?

  • 0:59 lmao the acting is seriously over the top lol

  • is 'flag unit' on adrenaline or cafeene or something?

  • Flag Unit's on specialized LSD. In this acid trip, it makes the South Korean soldiers look like giant va-jays and they have to stick their bayonet penises into them.

  • lol

    but realy

    they're like monsters

  • The Corsair pilot is so damn crazy, they won't die for nothing....so they smack their plane to the NK AA site.....

  • on 3:39 a north korean hand got shot off and it was stuck a turret and still shooting

  • i agree as long as N.K. exists, the war is not over and still live with threat of war everyday. somethings got to be done. i wish they should become one and peace

  • i think what the two koreas really want is to continue living is separation. You know, just not bothering each other and leaving each other alone. That way peace will continue, even if the country's separated.

  • exactly but you know how paranoia works

each side thinks the other will take over so... WAR before that happens

    better safe than sorry,.

  • Lol,When the flag unit came i was like,COOL. :p

  • i just realized that people get the term gook from 한국, "HanGook." so bad... do North and South Koreans hate eachother like Chinese and Taiwanese?

  • Comment removed

  • its extremely difficult to shoot down aircraft without

    timed explosions or radar guidence

  • it requires AA guns. this is 1951, no need for radar if planes are that close.

  • Those planes are flying way to low to the ground.

  • Well that's Hollywoo, er Koreahood for ya.

  • maybe Seoulhood

  • Yeah good question, where do they make all their over-dramatic, yet blockbusting Korean films anyway?

  • they shud hav made one of the planes go down to make it look fair

  • they did

  • i'm from Vietnam , i known a few history of Korean . It ' sad , separate . I 'm very lucky when live in peace . My country before 1975 same two part Korean , feud , but now we are freedom , without war . I ' m very happy . I wish Korea been peace . true

  • Here is the chinese flag unit! you american gi are for it.

  • They are P-47's,They are Corsairs(Note the bent wings)

  • Right.

  • those are not p-47's, they are F4U corsairs (right on the name)

  • That was sick at 3:39 the commies arm damn!

  • Those are definitely not F-86 Sabres. They look more like the Mustangs from WWII. Sabres are fighter jets, the planes in the movies are propeller planes.

  • HAHAHAHA no!!

    Those were P-47s.

Mustang had a sharp tip to its propeller same with P-40s.

    And they did use sabres.

    LOL jux not here.

  • I was taking a guess. I just knew those weren't sabres. My knowlege of propeller planes aren't very good, I just knew what each nation used, but not what they looked like (look virtually all the same to me). Mustang was just a guess, sorry 'bout that. But still, where are the sabres?

  • Its ok i don't kno much bout jets either jus that i hate jets.

I'll always love propeller ones such as the P-51 D and Me 109.

  • I'm surprised everyone just passed by him. He's still wearing the South Korean uniform.

  • 2:01 Die commie motherfuckers. Hope you goddamn suffer and rot in hell.

  • Comment removed

  • Its funny how when it showed a cockpit few of the machine gun fire from the plane it moved so slowly. That helicopter for the visual effects sure took its time hahah

  • ㅋㅋ진짜 전투기가 무슨 전투헬기시점으로 쏴대네 ㅋㅋ 전투기라면 한번 순식간에 쏴악 갈기고 급강하해야지

  • hey, what happened to all the tanks and artillery that the South was using a second ago?

  • i would say the artillery stopped firing cause they didn't want to hit there own men inside the enemy's trenches same with the planes and the tanks it would be hard to go through the trenches since it's on uphill

  • true true

  • almost none of the norths wear steel helmets

  • im not sure if it was on purpose but at least the pilot who got shot down took out the anti air gun with him

  • the gun camera style shots at 2:36 and 4:06 are way too close and slow. I think they used a helicopter ._.

  • That's why you don't mess with Corsairs.

  • yes, it's true, in fact, communism actually originated from an European philosopher. That is why Americans are trying to westernize countries, like Korea and Japan.

  • The Americans aren't trying anything anymore. Korea and Japan are both "westernized' in that they are technologically advanced yet they still retain much of their culture. The only big regret I'd say is losing North Korea.

  • Having believes makes wars and conflict a believe should not be a believe it should be an IDEA.

Ideas do not make wars and conflict.
