  • im gonna be having nightmares tonight cause of dr. Hyde :( lol :D

  • i know this sounds stupid but does that horror scene seem to have any philosophical implications for any1? I know it did for me, especially when he gets out of that wretched, evil-filled mansion and looks up symbolizing how he just conquered fear..conquering fear..that's some powerful stuff right there.

  • 7:13 that a huge dick lol

  • Am I the only one who wasn't scared by the Mr. Hyde scene - as a kid or now? :-/

  • @GenghisKhan44 I wasn't. And I'm a really sensitive person so I get scared easily. That's saying something :P

  • its mister HY-Y-Y-Y-Y-Y-Y-Y-Y-YDE!!!!

    :OOOO

  • OMG!! I forgotten about this movie until tonight!! Last time i saw this i was a toddler lol

  • like my dad when hes drunk lol

  • it's a MAN's drink is it? *giggles insanely* that's a martini glass with a green liquid and a olive Adventure. you're drinking a appletini!

  • @DAOW17 Considering the drink was acidic enough to burn a hole in the floor, I'd still say it's one heck of a man's drink.

  • Captain Ahab is Sweeney Todd from the 1982 film adaptation. I just found this out. I love George Hearn.

  • @PrincessToad100 Seriously?! That's awesome!! Funny, I just saw the show a few weeks ago.

  • For the longest time I was absolutely terrified of this movie. I finally worked up the courage to watch it again, and now I'm just disappointed they didn't use more of my favorite horror stories.

  • Is anyone else wondering why they were going after a whale in rowboats?

  • @Starfirejb13 It's Moby Dick! Read the book, genius!

  • @jtkids316 lol yeah I know it's Moby Dick. I just thought it was funny! :)

  • @TheJoshuaPat yea horror rulez and fantasy is not an ordinary book lol

  • @TheJoshuaPat Hahahahaha omg me too! Lol I love how in the 3d scene when she led them throgh the book shelf she said, "oh baby" LIke what the?

  • God this part of the movie scared the absolute shit out of me. Now I suddenly realised that I'm still scared of this scene. More freaky and scary than any stupid horror movies of today ! !

  • a few years back i dressed as both jeckle and hide one side was shreded and deranged looking the other more proper kinda like 2 face of batman sept no disgusting face anyway i had a skull and vertibre cane sword and a cool monsterlike contact lins on one eye and not many ppl ever heard of dr j and mr h i was like wtf read you idiots

  • @redhead61 lol that's too bad.

  • From right to left, these are titles of the books I can see:

The Haunting, The Exorcist, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, The Other (Side?), The Shining, and Salem's Lot.

A lot of good books right there.

  • when i was a kid, mr hyde scared the crap out of me sooo freaking bad that i had nightmares about him and his mansion!

  • the horror book is soo adorable ;)

  • Dick! 6:22

  • "My name is....Mr. HYYYYYYYYYDE!" scared the s-h-i-t outta me as a kid. I used to not be able to watch this movie because of it!

  • The Shining was on the shelf right next to the book that his hand went through :P

  • Just a question, but what would happen if he opened a educational book about, say, the science of Astronomy. Would they just be cast out into Outer Space, watching how planets, stars and everything else works?

  • @Planetvideogame Stephen Hawking would pop out and save the day

  • this part really scared me as a kid mainly wen he went my name is mr HYDEE!!! o.O

  • @loljaylolify Well, yeah, that's the point. Rarely does one not get spooked when some freaky guy gets up in their face. :)

  • @moonie137 L O L ikr

  • i cherish this movie

  • sanctuary sanctuary

  • MOBY DICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • So... how come nothing happens to the olive?

  • @casescenario because olives are badass! duh :p

  • lol the movie come out on my birth day

  • 1:22 LOL

  • The part where Ahab turns red (as well as the entire backgound) absolutely terrified me as a kid. Still gives me the creeps today. Easily the best scene in the movie.

  • Whose idea was it to go after a huge angry whale in a rowboat?

  • @silentpinecone it is more practical because small boat are more manuverable than the big ship.... they don't just go around in the rowboats, they have a bigger ship that theu go back to. Have you ever read moby dick?

  • 5:24-5:29m lol

  • Isn't the person who plays Fantasy the same actor for one of the Lion King hyenas? ^^

    Also 1:22 = OO

  • @DaxterD1 yeah it's whoopi goldberg

  • @DaxterD1 yes whoppie goldburg

  • lol at 4:58 What are you laughing at?

  • Does adventure's voice change? I swear it does. It sounds like Maurice LeMarche from futurama.

  • patrick stewart is talented. at first its hard to tell its even him.

  • listen closely at 5:12.

  • I wonder what would happen if they did go DOWN stairs?

  • My name is.....MR HYDE!!!! lol that made me laugh :)

  • 0:21-0:23 "Stay back! This is a man's drink!" XD

  • 4:48 - 4:53 what movie is this song from?! or whats the song called?

  • Captain Ahab is voiced by George Hearn of "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street" (1982).

  • This used to terrify me when I was a kid and guess what... it still kinda does.

  • @DanielleBlenderFace who terrfies you?

  • @DanielleBlenderFace don't worry, me to and I'm almost in my 20s

  • Does anyone else think it's really awesome that there are two Stephen King books shelved in the horror section? (The Shining and Salem's Lot)

  • first time i ever watched this (i was very young) i ran out of my room at 1:20 and wouldn't go back in, i had to get my mum to tune off the tv. i eventually watched it all the the way through about a year later

  • Same here mate

  • Dane that drink could Kill a Man or well trun them in to a mountester

  • dr jekyl and mr. hyde - I dont really see it as horror - more like reality at least the evil part of reality because some ppl have multiple personalities (that medical disorder) so it's entirely possible to become a "psychopath" .. especially if the alternatives are possible.

  • I don't see how they can just sit on that piece of wood in the middle of the ocean when their boat just got crushed by Moby Dick. I don't know about anyone else but I'd be freaking out even if I felt a bit safer on the wood. Then again I'd also be freaking out that I was on that piece of wood in the middle of an ocean especially the part where you have no idea how deep it is. Ok I'm not a little kid anymore but still when I'm in water I prefer to be able to see the ground under all that water.

  • Richard: Another guy with a piglick!

Fantasy: Mmm hmm. Seems to be a fashion statement around here.

Lol. I love his face when he says that line. It makes me laugh.

  • Hey, did the creators of the movie used the sun opening from "The Lion King?" 4:19 to 4:26.

  • Hmm. The two sure do look a lot alike. Then again, the two movies came out the same year. The Lion King came out a only few months before the Pagemaster, so the makers of the Pagemaster couldn't have copied it, as animated movies take a long time to do, and not just a couple of months. They started producing the movie in 1993, so the animation must have started in 1993 after they got the beginning of the film right.

  • That's three catch phrases now.

"This is not good. This is definitely not good at all."

    "Look! There's the exit!"

    "Get me out of here!"

It's kind of repetitive, isn't it. The whole catch phrase thing. And there's three of them (that I've noticed)

  • I absolutely LOVE the colors in the movie! :D

  • Did anyone notice that Richard had a red shirt when he was first splashed with the paint and turned into an illustration and as well in the Dr. Jakell and Mr. Hyde mansion, but when the boat is crushed, he's wearing a green shirt? What's up with that?

  • @SDBluemoon92 probably their way of simulating a wet shirt.

  • How come the part with Frankenstein was cut out?

  • Loved it when Adventure squirted water at Fantasy!^^

  • 1:07 to 1:13

    BEST evil laugh ever.

  • He's Possesed! He's Insane! He's my kinda guy!

  • @Sailormoongrl412 and those are my faverit lines.

  • "Split your lungs with blood and thunder

When you see the white whale

Break your backs and crack your oars men

    If you wish to prevail

This ivory leg is what propels me

    Harpoons thrust in the sky

Aim directly for his crooked brow

And look him straight in the eye."

    Blood and Thunder.

    'Nuff said.

  • Ayyyyemen! :D
