  • Incredible!!! By far and away the best Tarantas I"ve ever heard. What a great man and what an awe inpiring performance!!!

  • any people here who say Carlos Montoya wasn't a great guitarist, are clearly elitist wannabe's, who feel smarter than the rest of us because they say foolish things. I guarantee you these people all struggle with "Adelita" and yet feel qualified to criticize Carlos Montoya. Seriously ppl, just enjoy the art,

  • y do u guys say he doesnt impress you guys

i like his music and i would rather hear this

    than that lame justin bieber

  • @actionhigh: it depends. do u like modern flamenco..or do u prefer older more trad flemenco. do u like flemenco with cantor/singer and lots of castanets or do u like more classical flemenco. i saw juan martin in concert in edinburgh last year. brilliant to see live but don't think he's as good as some players. i have many cd's of sabicas, paco pena and nino ricardo. i don't care much for modern flamenco but things move on always.

  • he did not impress. even his famous uncle ramon montoya was less than impressed by his talent. he was lucky. he had the right name. he was in america at the right time. there were very few spanish flamenco players playing outside of spain at this time. it has been said that he was not held in high esteem by other flamenco players and although this could be down to a touch of jelousy, i agree. his style is crude and clunky. he's all effort and no grace.

    he's just not for me.

  • carlos montoya was an average flamenco player, but he was in america at the right time and did a lot to promote this style to the masses. he will never be concidered as one of the greats but his influence is as great as any other flamenco player of this erea

  • @knm3m3n why do u say this? of course he had a big influence in america but why do u say he is average?because he shows his greatness and essence of playing through simplicity and shredding sometimes , because hes a raw flamenco player ? why?

  • Carlos Montoya had no good sound at all but ,he was playing traditional Flamenco which he learned from the legendary Ramon Montoya,as for old school this was the real flamenco not like todays jazz/flamenco which some say it is Flamenco,no it's not

  • que te pasa metal !!!!!

    Metal!!!!!!!

  • Nije lose mada, jos ne mogu u potpunosti da ga razumem ;-)

  • So basicaly he says he is quite, special, unique and fantastic right!?

  • So many Gadjos like Flamenco! WTF? You don't even comprehend it!

  • Amazing guy, a true Master. Thanks so much for posting this video. If you've got more, please let me/us know.

    Un abrazo.

  • He is one of the Best Guitar players ever.

  • What a load of crap. When you can play 1% as well as he did, then the duct tape will be removed from your mouth. It always amazes me how people with little skill have the nerve to critique others...

  • Shut up fumble dick, i have more than 1 % of his skills. i have played the classical guitar for some time and the flamenco guitar for 2 years. i know enough to make my own opinion about what is good and what is not.

Montoya, is old school. and doesnt inspire me.

To follow your line of logic would mean to appreciate all films and filmmakers because i dont make films myself, is that it!?

you are a halfbrain who sucks up to authorites. a missguided form of respect.

go back to sleep u prick!
