  • The guitar Is bigger than her

  • Ohh .... supr that I don't need it, because I have my ears!

  • also... have an horrible color

  • @samrojo09 agree

  • That thing will rape you in the night

  • no me gusta mucho esta guitarra, declina a usar tu oido...

  • I don't know if I'm ever going to buy one but I've played it and it's a very good guitar indeed; the ebony fingerboard is flawless and the whole thing sounds like a proper Les Paul and there's no bulge at all, as someone says.

  • sounds horrid

  • 2 things would make it cool enough to buy. 1. If it had a chrome finish like a robot.

    2. If I was bending a string to hard that it started shouting DANGER WILL ROBINSON, DANGER!

  • Hahahaha Oh the pain, the pain !!! funny......I bought one anyway and I love it !

  • this would be way more useful on a locking tremolo guitar.

  • my variax is faster

  • not only is this a waste of time and money, apperently there is this big bulge on the back of the body where the battery pack is stored.

  • I have one and there is no bulge......That's bullshit

  • If that guitar could re-string itself I'd be impressed. Otherwise, not worth the money, Just get a regular LP

  • @Audiophile502 it can

  • I could make my own robot guitar for about $100

  • i like tuning my guitars by myself...kind of a player-instrument bonding. i think the finishes on these are ugly looking too. id want a les paul traditional pro

  • CiciC092 but its so much more fun this way!!!!!!!!!

  • have fun not selling this :P

  • Good idea but it's the sound that matters

  • In all serious if I had the money I would buy the Robot Flying V only because it comes in a really cool red.

  • Guess these people making comments don't play in other tuning mode other

    then just standard tuning.

  • te afina sola! k bueno...

  • useless beauty

  • This is why I play acoustic. Too much focus on gear and gitzmos on electrics and not enough on musicianship. The day they jack up the price on my Martins $1000 for a tuner is the day I quit buying new guitars.

  • I would buy the normal STudio and for the rest of the money i would buy the chic that shows the guitar in the beginning!!! :D

  • ad: frustrated of tuning a 300-800$ guitar? well spend 1 thousand dollars or evan MORE to save you 5 minutes of your life! call now and we'll include a gibson pick!

  • whys these guitar change to nothing volkswagen or something Tramsformers?

  • Complettely useless in my opinion ...

  • SUCKS

  • es una mierda la guitarra esta donde quedo la afinacion por oido...

  • at least it looks good. you should see the dusk tiger and firebird X...

    ...JESUS!!!!!!!!

  • 0:00

  • they have electronic tuners for $10 and LP studios for $800, so either that or a $3000 dollar one to save you an extra 5 mins?

  • @metalhead142 its not just the tuning.. sound, SPECIAL EDITION(only 4000 in the whole world) which makes it alot more expensive and not many guitar have auto tuning... many different tuning opportunities.

  • @metalhead142 5 mins ??? LoL I can tune my guitar in 10 sec \m/ -\m/

  • La niña y 'buena como el panes

  • If those move when Im trying to rock out at night

that'd be reallly scary, then the guitar does sound awesome too,but thats just real scary.Im not a very good tuner,so I'd buy it.I rather waist a couple of bucks, then spend hours trying to tune my guitar exactly.

  • @LostMusicalMeanings Your answer is simple, get faster at tuning :D

  • I bet I can tune by 7 string guitar faster than I can find batteries for that shit.

  • *sigh* A guitar for people who REALLY can't be rooted tuning :P .

  • Bah dont be lazy and tune your guitars by yourself -.-"

  • Bite me....I wanted to go drop D to sing Everlong-Foo Fighters, the goddamm thing just kept tuning back up...AAAAh!!

  • why not put litle blinking lights to play along with songs on the fretboard also, lol

  • so tired of people bitching about this guitar... if you don't wanna spend the extra $ for a guitar that tunes itself, then DON'T. This guitar is for people who either have the extra money and want the convenience of quick tuning, stringing, and intonation... or performing musicians who want to be able to switch tunings on the fly without having to carry around multiple guitars. I don't plan on getting one, but i also don't plan on being an ignorant youtube troll

  • Seems douche-bags are Gibson's target demographic now.

  • That's what the thing does? Tunes it? Come on....

  • great! now if only gibson could make a guitar that regular people could afford...

  • Really the question for the robot guitar is: are you willing to take 1 minute to tune your guitar? Get a 'real' guitar.

Are you too lazy and spoiled to tune your guitar yourself, or are you absolutely tone deaf? Get a robot guitar

For me, it's just a fancy gadget, a gimmick if you will. No, I'd buy a normal Les Paul over this....any day of the week

  • With all the negative comments going around, I'll agree with you in part - (yes, this is just a LP studio) but it IS revolutionary in the fact that it tunes itself to any key or even alternates on demand ; so kudos to Gibson for spending the development money to make this a reality.

Just think of all the performances by major artists whom have to employ multiple guitars on stage set to alternate tunings. This eliminates that. BTW this guy doesn't even PLAY it and showcase it's ability! WTF!

  • hm. make it so you can program in specific tunings instead of using presets and ill consider it.

  • cool

  • i bet you my REGULAR gibson flying v sounds better without all that shit in it...

  • u guys have to understand that the main idea is not only "tuning the guitar" but having different modes, you actually have ~10 banks where you can save your tunes, and instead of getting 2 or more guitars to a gig just because you have different tuned songs, you just switch the nub and get the different "saved tuning" in a second, the videos on youtube show you how it tunes, but never how it "switches" from 1 mode to another. this is a great guitar when you need different tunings in 1 concert

  • i want one

  • i preffer the classic way

  • no offense but learn how to tune a guitar and save a few thousand dollars.

  • I think they made this guitar because Gibson guitars usually easily go out of tune :|

  • im sick of putting batterys in my taylor ..bet this eats em

  • love gibson guitars but this is a load of shat

  • NO NO NO ! ITS SUCK !

    ITS NOT CLASSIC ROCK.

PERHAPS SHE STILL PLAYS ITSELF, FOR EXAMPLE DEEP PURPLE AND ME SIMPLY IT IS NECESSARY TO BRAG OF THE SKILL IN ABILITY TO ACCEPT THE RACK.

Any robot will not adjust a guitar better than I.

  • seriously... in studio... that win some time ... (sorry for my bad english)

  • Personally, I bend the HELL out of the strings and usually have to make tuning adjustments while I'm playing a song. Push a button and it tunes itself? I want one.

  • man who gives a fuck if it autotunes, play the damn thing! how does it sound!!! LOL

  • anything, soon the guitars will play alone, what's the interest? Where is the vintage sound? I think there is a gadget...

  • change tunings mid song lol

  • @MrROTD ya but then you will here a cat dying in the middle of the song lol

  • @MrROTD basically the only thing that its good for.

  • I can't play without a whammy bar

    That's all crap

  • I could never play without a whammy bar

    This is all crap

  • sounds kinda stupid but i like tuning guitars just twisting the pegs is kool:D :L

  • hola donde se puede conseguir esta guitrra y cuanto cuesta en españa?

  • that thing must be crZY HEAVY, THE BATTERYS .the tuners, the wiring through out he neck, come on.

  • wiring? it uses the strings!

  • wait its uses the strings themselves for carrying the electric current? GENIOUS?

  • no wires. the stop bar has a processor as well as the tuning pegs. it measures the vibration like a tuner does and makes adjustments where needed.

  • @dansterwerecool

grow some balls, and do some pushups

  • what would happen if you want to drop tune to a B?

  • How much money is this?

  • cuanto cuesta en españa y donde se puede conseguir?

  • probably about half a nut..

  • So what do you want MrGuitarGod. You want it to do the whole freakin gig for you...... Prat.

  • Joder, pero es solo puente fijo verdad? yo es que prefiero el puente flotante aunque el de las Gibsons es una p... M...

  • is that all it does is tune its self? i thought it did more that that! this guitar is waay lame!

  • Well it also helps you change your string and also tunes to your style. It's pretty badass, but it's NOT FOR BEGINNERS.

  • why is this bad for beginners and what would you recommend? cheers

  • it tunes itself into any tune u want... i help you with adjusting the intonation correctly. it helps you getting on new sites. in my opinion everything is really unneccessary.. every of those things can be done in a few minutes

  • No it has automatic pick up hammer on pull down , will thread strings itself has over 10,000 voices to use like a synth and a unbreakable outershell plus auto distortion

  • It also does intonation.

  • it also does intonation

  • @MrGuitargod31 what do you want it to play itself??? lol. I think its pretty nifty you can go from standard to open tuning with just the pull of a knob!

  • So can I, lol!

But seriously, this thing is a POS!

  • its more like a ripoff... theres a gibson studio for a price range around $800-$1500 USD.... the robot studio is $1500-$2500 USD you could just tune it urself and save some large amount of money

  • @CiviC092 not to menton you'll actually develop a good ear and be able to tune it yourself when in need

  • You are the first one who gets it! If you but this, you are actually spending $1000 just not to have to tune it maybe once in 1-2 weeks, which will cost you only 2 minutes.

  • way to suck the fun out of it.

  • oos guitar i think that this guitar costs even more, around 4000 US dollars

  • oos guitar this guitar costs even more,it is about 4000 US dollars

  • @CiviC092 thats not true man, this ginson sound like a custom one, i knowit because i have one robot and one custom and the robot one is very cool.

  • @CiviC092 hey dude it does alot more then just tune itself it can check if you need to tighten or loosen the bridge and alot more i dont remeber look up a video on it

  • @CiviC092

I've noticed a robot gibson explorer is cheaper in osome places than an explorer standard. I just cant get my head around why. Gibson just dont make the guitars like they used too.

  • @CiviC092 It might cost a lot more... BUT ITS BADASS! lol.

  • @CiviC092 Thats why they need to Call it Gibson Lazy rich LP's Sg's etc

  • @CiviC092 its nicer than a regulat studio

  • it's a badass guitar, i own an Robot SG and it tunes itself, strings itself up & sets its own intonation

  • It sets intonation and bridge height and pretty much changes your strings for u

  • can you still manually tune it or will it break the robot tuning?

  • You can tune it manually by pulling out the pegheads of the tuners. You can also create your own custom tunings.

  • @timmsheehy You can pull out the pegs and manually tune it, with out damaging the gears.

  • yes you pull out or push in the tuning gears

  • you just pull on the tuners to adjust manually.

  • you can custom tune it , there is an option for that

  • wtf ppl its called the future who cares if you tune it your self or not it doesn't matter how you tune the damn thing

  • you know its nice that you dont have to tune it yourself but you can tune you own style and if the tuning you need ist on that thing than you are screwed

  • How much is this?

  • it sounds crap

  • i think the sg would be pretty badass

  • This guitar is for lazy people who'd rather spend an extra 500 dollars on a fancy tuning system then doing it themselve. Let alone if they actually CAN tune a guitar themselve, which I highly doubt

  • how much would THAT cost

  • if u cant tune a guitar by ear then u shouldnt be playing guitar .....LOL

it was 1 of the 1st things i learned how to do

  • i dont see wuts wrong with it if u need quick tuning us it but u can also tune it by hand for the things it might not have

  • that is for lazy ppl who cant tune it them selfs

  • Bah. I like to tune my guitar by myself.

  • Yeah same! But you cant deny that its a pretty sick idea!

  • @Garraliposker till it pops in ur face!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Garraliposker There is a new Gibson Robot for the 2011. It play by it self...

  • @Guiyo344 LoL

  • Sorry but, f*ck this guitar, i mean,

Its not a real guitar if you cant tune it to youre own style u know what i mean?

  • You can tune it however you like. Why talk if you don't know what you're talking about.

And how many different "custom" tunings do you use? How many have you invented that aren't standard.

Although I'm impartial to Gibson, this guitar is incredibly innovative and exciting. It's moving everything forward.

  • No. Just no.

  • lol you mean out of tune?

  • you can tune it by urself if u want

  • I don't have a clue what you mean. You can tune it manually, and you can save your own tuning as a preset.

  • Even assuming that I can understand "youre" English, no, I don't know what you mean. You can tune the guitar manually or you can tune to whatever tuning you want and store them as presets.

  • Man, you can set the guitar to your own styling.

you can save your settings and reset the presets.

You can tune it yourself to whatever you want too. you don't have to use the robot.

I own one. It's so sick.

  • It's a "real" Gibson Les Paul Studio in every respect, actually better, as it has locking tuners and a locking jack. You can tune it manually, and you can even store your own tunings as presets.

It's "your" own style, and, no, I don't have a clue what you mean.

  • o kewl, i thot it was just the tunings on the guitar

  • actually no, you can connect it to a computer and have it tune it to your choice

  • is that girl in the vid mexican (not being racist as i am mexican and im just asking) because she doesnt look like it at all

  • I´m spanish, if you´re mexican you must to know ;-)

  • @IareMikeJones Probably Latina/Spanish. She had the castillian lisp

  • @IareMikeJones There are blond and totally white mexicans also...

  • @IareMikeJones most mayor mexican cities are filled with mixed cultures from around the world.. if you wanted to see a mayan ull find it on thre rural side

  • @IareMikeJones es española

  • this is absolute bullshit

  • tanta inteligencia desperdiciada en una guitarra de mierda, inventen ahora una que se toque sin guitarrista

  • that is a Les Paul dumb ass.

  • I just like the color lol

  • It would be pretty kewl to have, but i'd rather spend that 3,000 dollars on two or three really nice guitars.

  • Totally agree!

But the LP Darkfire is better than the Robot.

  • can this guitar also tune to a high key or low (changing keys) key automatically/programmaticaly? That would be cool.

  • too right :)

  • what if you want to tune it to an open chord like G or something? will it just correct itself?

  • So mais minha tagima e1.hehe

  • wow the next generation of guitar players are going to be so stupid... they wont be able to tune a string, will lose any ear training practise whatsoever, wont ever know what it is to play around with an actual electric, muck around with pickups and parts... sad.. its just for lazy fat rich kids.. i hope its a flop

  • it is a gibson robot les paul

  • Wait until the system flakes out (and it will). I dread the thought of these things coming into my shop, just pack it up & send it to Gibson when it fucks up (and it will).

  • man i'd love that on stage.. it always happens where my guitars are before the gig. but as soon as i step on a stage.. they are untuned to shit... man.. just press a button on the guitar. and ur tuned.. hahaha

  • This would be great when I rehearse with my band, it would be fast and painless and on stage it would be freakin' awesome just to hit all the strings to make it in tune.

  • these would be good onstage when you need to tune inbetween songs and you dont wanna pick up a different guitar

  • u mean the othere gibsons thats still a les paul

  • real guitarist shouldn`t buy this junk

  • dont u get it? u dont have to switch guitars each time you want to play different songs with different tunes.. this is how this guitar is usefull. price wise, i dont think it help much. too costly for average guitar players.

  • it is a les paul

  • mine broke in 6 months

  • Amen!!!

  • that is les paul but robot!

  • is amazing guitar!!!

but the classic lespaul feel no more ard...

    i prefet classic design lespaul!!!

  • cool guitar, but all it does diferent is that it tunes it self !

can u tune ur hown guitar ? douche... not worth the money !

and it will last you like one year !

nah, ill stick with my epiphone ultra || les paul and my gibson sg !

  • nobody cares

  • dude not really their built to last longer than most guitars and tuning is not the only thing it does

  • I wouldn't say this guitar was made for people who can't tune. I'd say it was made more for people who find themselves going using multiple tunings, and don't want to waste time tuning there guitars. Someone who can't tune a guitar shouldn't purchase a guitar this expensive, that would make them a douche..

  • @3Epiphone: I wouldn't say this guitar was made for someone who can't tune their own guitar. I'd say it was made for people who use multiple tunings and don't want to waste time tuning their guitars. (I find myself tuning my guitar too much) So for those people, having the guitar tune itself just saves time and is just a convenience. Obviously if the person can't tune then owning this expensive of a guitar, would make them a douche.

  • dude its gibson who gives a fuck i want one

  • lol, epiphone is such junk

  • this is a Gibson you Tard not a epiphone

  • Epiphone is gibson parts from Japan and Texas they are just not put toghether by builders from gibson.
