  • wow what a great video

  • There are plenty of experts in Expert Village... just a shame that they're experts in failure rather than the subject they're talking about.

  • Thanks for the tips!!

  • good short video on getting the basic shots!

  • NO HOMO.......

  • 1:43 is called STUN shot

  • High english? wtf c'mon...

  • Isn't hitting the ball in the centre a dead stop? Hitting it below centre makes bottom english/spin

  • @DanniHTD depends on how hard you hit it and the distance it goes. a ball will always pick up natural spin by rolling (the harder you hit, the less). for a dead stop, you wanna have the ball have no spin whatsoever when hitting the target ball. depening on the situation this might be achieved by hitting dead center or a little below.

  • @DanniHTD You hit the cue below JUST below centre to make it stop. It can be done by hitting dead centre too if you play it with a bit of power.

  • @DanniHTD

Try this - take a striped ball and place it so the number faces you. Cue it below center, and watch what happens. Notice that it spins backwards, slides for a bit, then starts rolling forward?

When the cue ball contacts an object ball while it is SLIDING, it's called a stop or stun shot. If the cue ball hits the object ball dead on, it will stop. If it hits off center, the cue ball will move at a 90-degree angle from the point of contact. This is a cornerstone of cue ball control.

  • 1:23 to 1:26 Gonna put this on FailBlog

  • 00:43 I bet someone hit the ball the back ;P

  • There is no such thing a "high and low english"... it's called top and back spin...

  • @mwbece there u dumprick

  • @vlog0opion I'm just stating a fact. English is only when the ball has some sort of side spin on it...(Top left, Bottom left, Top right, Bottom Right, Left and Right English)

  • really good tips there

  • this guys a major d bag

and for low english... i do jumpballs :S

  • the ball is gonna come back to me.... or.. its gonna stop LOL

  • damn, all expert village tutorials are so pathetic...EXPERT VILLAGE my ass....bunch of dumb assess with camera

  • what the fucks english

  • he clearly doesnt screw the ball at 0:37 if you listen when it goes off screen it never hits another ball...oh dear

  • @NordAlaman

point was to hit the cue ball dead center, bounce it off the cushion so it come straight back to your cue tip. so you know that you dont put sidespin on the cue ball when you dont need it.

but yeah, editing of this video was poor.

  • i don't remember this from high school english...

  • why the hell is it called english.

  • Comment removed

  • @9SuperMonkeyBall0 actually it's hitting it in the center in an angle. same with curve shots or whatever they're called you hit in a really high angle but still right to the center

  • hi mr. 1 ball

  • what championships have you won

  • !!!!! He missed his first attempt to draw the ball?? You shouldn't be the one making the demonstration but rather take good notes from someone one who should show you.

  • @jimbojimjs like how you should let someone ONE else with better grammer type your thoughts while you take notes?

  • @joemoe23 It has never occurred to you that not everyone is from the USA and its possible that english could be a 2nd language for other human beings or have you heard about typos?

  • this guy is a fraud, ive never heard of anything he's talking about and im fucking "English"

  • stop english ? lmao ive never heard of that in my life

    \

  • my balls my balls my balls..............

  • Que bueno fuera que las instrucciones fueran en español o wayuunaiki

  • I like your lessons,thanks.

  • This guy is terrible, LOL. How many times have you seen draw used with a open bridge?

  • @rlgoat ...erm, you can draw brilliantly with an open bridge.... the english fucking invented spin, and they all play over there with an open bridge.... you dumb american...

  • @flameboybizzle1016 turn the captions off "DUMMY"

  • "But for now, thats english" LOL

  • ITS CALLED SIDE AND SPIN! not English what a tool

  • @adamxchapman Hitting the cue ball right or left of center is called English. Hitting it on the top is commonly referred to as 'follow' and below the center is referred to as 'draw.' Anybody who calls it "SIDE AND SPIN" is just an idiot...

  • @hubertandclyde hmmm really i guess in america that's what you call it in England i've certainly never heard it called English and i guess if former world snooker champions like Steve Davis, Stephen Hendry and Ronnie O'Sullivan must be idiots as well lmao.

  • @adamxchapman No they aren't. They mostly refer to it as English if talking technically about the game. It is actually called English. Side and Spin are just slang terms.

  • @hubertandclyde I'm sorry but you have no idea what you are talking about. You should do your research before stating thigs that are not true. First off do you know why we call sidespin english? The TECHNICAL term is "sidespin" by the way. An Englishman is said to have discovered that putting chalk on the leather tip, which was a Frenchman's idea, allows for various types of spin to be used. Once it got to america we called sidespin ENGLISH because of where it cam from.

  • @hubertandclyde ......Also in England they call it side. i think you are the idiot here. I have no idea how you play but i use the term side and spin when i discuss pool. i think that you just started to play and feel all high in mighty because you beat some guys at a bar with all your knowledge. But forgive me if im wrong. You are correct though on the follow and draw, thats not english, english only refers to hitting the cue ball on the horizontal axis.

  • Which one is the cue ball again????????

  • Rarely comment on YT but this is just pish. Had to say this.

  • typical expert village video.

    useless...

  • If you jack your stick up like that, you get draw shots like that. Flatten your stick out. It's much easier to perform, and to control.

  • Oooh, the cue ball is the whiiiite one!

  • @HankHillDoesWork haha lol

  • good advice--good teacher

  • @BEATNIKCASS I hope you are being sarcastic.

  • wow what a bender

  • mom !! i am learning english in a whole new way ;D

  • power suit, power tie, power steering. vance munson. get it, get off, get out.

  • @roomfullofidiots HITCH!! i knew i recognised that! but didnt he say get in first?

  • so when you hit the centre of the ball and when you hit low english, both times the ball will come back to you?

  • so where are you supposed to hit to get a stop ball?

  • LOL...

"You got your stick, now you know how to hold it" :P

  • @magolbrr watch his other videos lol
