  • good night from ky who knows what the wildwood flower is

  • Thank you!

  • Thank you.

  • Thank You. I want to tune up my autoharp, now.

  • i'm left handed .....i'm 23 i've been playin this song on guitar since i can remember ...this looks easy to me

  • nice, i bet that is VERY hard to play..

  • i wouldnt wanna re-string that instrument... lol.. nice playing

  • pure tee beautiful

  • Pure aural beauty. I guess this is American music as far from Cowboy cliches as possible. Traditional Swiss folk music sometimes uses a similar instrument and thus sounds similar sometimes. So I'd like to think of it as «Cosmic music», as Gram Parsons put it. Best regards from Switzerland!

  • This is listed as a hammered dulcimer, and it's an autoharp. Good job though

  • i can pick it on guitar ....but on autoharp...forget it

  • i have to agree with autoharpman... so many people try Wildwood Flower... it is just a simple melody..

  • watch?v=6PcPIJdyr-s&feature=related

she doesnt allways do that pinch thing

  • her style is a three chorded melody.not that.

  • Very cool! You are inspiring me to practice the autoharp more. This is one of my favorite songs and I love how you play it.

  • It's people like you who inspire the rest of us to keep trying. Btw, you have a very impressive subscription list. I'll keep listening to you. Goodnight from Idaho.

  • Thanks. Good night.

  • Thanks for another good video. I am learning a little more about picking from watching your hands.

  • Thank you! My main instrument is the Hammered Dulcimer though. I only know 3 songs on the Autoharp and all are Maybelle Carter songs. Black Mountain Rag, Liberty Dance, and Wildwood Flower. As soon as I change the strings on my autoharp I will upload a new video featuring Liberty Dance.

  • For playing no longer than you have, you're doing great. I've been playing for a year and still haven't got the hang of "picking."

  • Yeah learning how to pick can be a pain. I want to be able to pick the way Maybelle did but I wont be that good for a very long time.

    I enjoyed your video.

  • Thanks. It was my first video and not very polished. Just a little Christmas card for my kids. But any of you guys who are thinking of posting a video, take the leap. It's not nearly as scary as I thought.

  • Yeah posting a video is not nearly as scary as playing open stage. I have played open stage on my hammered dulcimer twice and the first time I was so nervous I rushed off the stage after I was done and forgot to thank everyone for the applause.

I dont get as nervous as I used to but its still nerve racking for me to play on a stage.

  • Thanks, very nice. I see by your watch you're left handed too? I find that comes in handy for doing your own backup chords on the hammered dulcimer.

  • Actually I am right handed but I wear my watch on my right hand. I dont know why but I have always done that. I have a lot of problems trying to lead with my left hand on the HD. I try to learn a song completely with both hands so I have more room to add stuff to the song.

  • That is incredible!

  • HI there i think ur great!

  • Thanks.
