  • najlepsza gra rajdowa w jaką grałem 11/10 =]

  • @jastermereel1 - sorry, I don't speak swahili. :0

  • ciekawe jak wyglądała ta skoda Rovanpery po spotkaniu z laskiem ; ) fajny film

  • why does all german music feel like porn music

  • Green Onions by Booker T & The MG's ??? i didn't heard that song during this vid but i luv that shit :D :D :D

besides...i would kindly ask you if you could make a vid where you introduce the cars and their liveries please-please-please ^^

  • @ropy89 - yeah the song didn't feel like being included for some reason.

As for the cars/liveries.. I temporarily abandoned Richard Burns Rally because I'm more into Race07 now. BHmotorsports(dot)com appears to have died anyway, so I cannot get a hold of these cars or liveries anymore. Please note that this video was created (by my brother) some 5 years ago. ;)

  • @DarthPhotek - hey dude,thanks for the freakin' fast reply :) well,too bad for the cars/liveries :(

i just went into a shop to ask if they can order this game for me but of course they said no...

i play DIRT3 in these days and i really do like that shit a lot but it hasn't got too many rally stages :(

    well,however,i'll check on this Race07 ;)

    thanks again mate !

    have a nice day

  • @ropy89 - DIRT3? PFF! Shame on you for playing that. You should just DOWNLOAD this game instead, since it's exceptionally hard to get the legal way nowadays.. Luckily I bought mine years ago.

Race07 is not a rally game by the way. Just racing. ;)

  • @DarthPhotek - haha XD yeah shame on me i still like that game though :P and i don't think the driving is shit in dirt 3 but you might be right,i might download RBR and some mods to it...i rarely play any games on pc since my config is like super oldschool but let's hope for the best :D

  • I so love this game!

  • Is the Fabia and focus mods??

  • @MsGouri143 - yes, they are. Very good ones, too.

  • not all cars handle very realisticly, hatch back cars a especially realistic on road but a subaru impreza(2000 sedan style) dont feel as right,

  • yeah good video but this game is shit just bad physics

  • @DjNotorious94 - There is no other rally game with this realistic handling. Go back to your dirt arcade rallying. :)

  • THERE IS SIMPLY NO COMPARISON TO RBR .. YET !!

  • 2:05 can't resist to floor it there ...

  • LOL 2:52-2:57 how far away do you think the spectators were?? 10 centimetres or less?=

  • soundtrack name

  • @antoniopompei1993 Oomph! - Augen auf!

    How to put customizable maps?

  • the reason they don't make Dirt as realistic handling is b/c it would be far too hard for most gamers...this game is far too hard for most gamers, i'm not saying it's bad just saying, and dirt is hard enough as it is.

  • this game engine, if associated with a better damage mechanics would be an (almost) perfect rally simulator. the only thing missing for this game is this. a huge graphic update would also be nice in a unprobable next release.

  • I just got the game and its very hard,

  • @lameristotel totally agree with you. i'm customized to mcrae dirt and i'm having a lot of trouble with it. :D

  • w oomph!!!

  • Computer simulations are supposed to imitate certain field of interest, not entire reality as you'd like. RBR IS simulation, so as Need For Speed appears to be (although the two are incomparable), because they simulate DRIVING and IMITATE conditions. RBR is near perfect and is best rally simulation yet!

So you're being an asshole cause of one moment in video which is not perfect, and further bullshitting about everything. This is not NASA's simulator, it's a GODDAMN PC GAME! So bugger off.

  • @admirs6 They are calling them simulations because they are "supposed" to simulate and/or replicate the real world physics of automobiles, their counter-parts, and the physical aspects of the environments they perform in... in their entirety.

Sadly no racing "simulation" does this yet because one or more of the factors governing the automobiles physics, environment's physics, or both, are off to such a degree that it's not comparable to the real world. Obviously there's variation in severity.

  • @corpralj3 Thank you. Say no more.

Everyone knows simulations do strive for perfection, but it is impossible to be entirely achieved. So, if there is a near perfect simulation, it is Richard Burns Rally FULLSTOP

  • @admirs6 It's not impossible to be entirely achieved.

Most developers are too just ambitious regarding a certain aspect of a game, and overlook the details of other aspects. In return there tends to be very unrealistic outcomes regarding these aspects, which can effect the game as whole, therefore becoming noticeably unrealistic.

When a rally car is able to pull off moves that realistically should result in a major crash, that is unrealistic.

  • Yea they call this a sim. This is one game that doesnt change with game settings , only the competition changes. If you suck then you can make the opponents suck. But nothing is taken away from the driving. corpralj3 go play a flight simm and take a nap!

  • WTF ! 1:22 - 1:27

  • @corpralj3 - in case you didn't notice, the car is already on dirt. And if you knew anything about rallying, I'm sure you've seen at least half a dozen of these situations - I know that I have. But thanks for your "constructive" criticism. If you know of any rally sim that is better than this, then, please, speak up. :) And if you say CMR: Dirt, I'm not the only one that would die of laughter. ;)

  • @DarthPhotek Exactly, it's on the dirt. A car at that angle WILL catch and roll. There is no if's, and's, or but's... the car WILL roll. I have seen rally cars do exactly this. Just not at the angle depicted in the video, which happens to be so incredibly unrealistic it's not funny.

There is no other rally sim that is "better". They are all trash from what I see.

  • @corpralj3 - No, it will NOT necessarily roll, as it depends on the dirt itself. Like I said, I have seen it before. Like Marcus Grönholm in the rally of new zealand in.. 2000 I believe. He did almost exactly this.. :)

  • @corpralj3

Ok, we have a hater here.

You should be by now smart enough to realize that there are distinctive differences between "real" and "virtual". Those differences are impossible to be erased or ignored in ANY moment, because the matter of two different REALMS at the most extreme, as you should realize again. When they make simulation, they reproduce physics under virtual conditions, and NOT copy "reality" into the simulation, which means there is no realistic mud, grass, trees,

  • @admirs6 I do realize that. What I don't realize is why people defend this game in regards of being a "sim" when this video depicts actions that are very non-sim like.

Exactly, a simulation reproduces physics under virtual conditions, in an attempt to replicate physics under real world conditions, hence the game being labeled as a "sim".

This means there was an obvious attempt at creating realistic mud, grass, and trees.

  • (continued) environment that will behave realistically under specific weather or circumstances. If you're not comfortable with that, why don't you go drive yourself some real rally with real car, and stop starring into the screen and bullshitting around.

Advice for you is, don't make a fool out of yourself in public before you get deeply into the matter. You obviously haven't driven RBR, or you can't drive so you just gave up and spit on it.

    Kid.

  • @admirs6 If you're not satisfied with me calling out the non-sim like nature of this game, why don't you stop bullshitting me back with bullshit excuses?

Advice for you is, don't defend aspects of a game that are legitimately called out on their sub-par comparisons, to real world counterparts, when they were intended to be accurately portrayed.

Looks like you just made the fool out of yourself, now didn't you? Kid.

  • I would have no business bullshitting you if you didn't start bullshitting in the first place. And now you reply with some complex terms and phrases out of despair just to make a fool out of me, which is quite pathetic. If you read that again, you'd realize you made no point except proving your English is probably better than mine.

The catch is that you are making conclusions based on one example (1:58) and keep on shitting all over RBR.

Name your perfect simulation, and I'll retire.

  • @admirs6 My "bullshitting" was legitimate criticism.

Correct. I didn't make a point, I held my point.

You said "when they make simulation, they reproduce physics under virtual conditions, and NOT copy "reality" into the simulation".

The point is, that it's a "simulation". A simulation is supposed to replicate and copy real world physics. This is what you're apparently in denial of, hence you defend it with ignorance and insults.

There are no perfect racing simulations at this time.

  • @corpralj3

Talking about "insults", I am really sorry for you not realizing how more and more pathetic you are, shitting on other people over a video clip or a game and then acting polite and blaming me for insults.

No, your "criticism" was not legitimate, it was bullshitting. According to you racing simulations do not exist. Then why are they calling them simulations? Perhaps you should suggest other name?

  • @admirs6 I didn't "shit" on anyone. I harshly criticized the physics. There is a difference between the two that you apparently can't distinguish. Some thicker skin may help you.

My criticism was legitimate, you just won't awknowledge it. Like most fanboys... you defend, defend, defend, and won't admit that anything warrants criticism.

  • I say again: Your "criticism" is not legitimate, it's bullshitting -- If you find me one perfect simulation/game, then I'll accept your bullshitting as criticism.

Also, legitimately, your criticism does not count if you haven't experienced the matter. So, before you reply me with your idealistic notion of simulation again, try RBR and then talk.

  • @admirs6 A perfect simulation does not need to exist in order for my criticism to be justified. Do you not see the ignorance in that belief?

That's the equivalent of saying "lets make a flight simulator where a 747 can go mach 3, and pull 10 G's". If no other flight simulators existed than accurately, and realistically modeled a 747, that does not justify the game's unrealistic physics of the 747 in relation to it's real world counterpart.

My criticism is nothing more than criticism.

  • @DarthPhotek never played this game but according to the flag your from finland, eh? :P and when you said CMR: Dirt isnt better sim than this, i agree but gotta say Dirt 3 is incredibly good 'sim' despite the fact its not even a sim. Rally without assists in it is hard imo...especially in the night when you cant see shit, hit a rock and your flying!

  • can u make video ( how install car )

  • @666PaulKersey666 u are noob

    Great clip!

  • any idea how this would run on a macbook pro 2.4ghz 4gb ram nvidia 9600 gmt using bootcamp and a windows OS?

  • The game is old, that system should run it no problem

  • @BriMcIntyre thanks very much, now i just need a windows operating system... lol. anyone know where/how to install one onto my mac for free?

  • @BriMcIntyre how to install cars i try so many times but not work :((

  • On MAX.

  • Still easily the best rally sim after 5 years!! About time we had a decent new rally sim me thinks!! Dirt is a bloody joke!! Well console is a joke full stop!!

  • maybe i'm crazy but the crash physics seem to be a bit more realistic in this game then say, Dirt. you may roll but you don't go endlessly tumbling up and steep hill at the same speed for a few minutes

  • i know these "flyaways" like in 1:52 :-P good vid man!

  • i think the best WRC racing game...awesome physics and really realistic...

  • ive got this on PS2 how do you get new cars onto the game i noticed new tracks on a differant vid and a subaru impreza 06 model but your focus and fabia are brill man

  • are u german???

  • nice:)

  • damn that last guy is good, so are you and all (lol) but that guy was pretty much flawless

  • Only one person doing the driving in this video ... me. :p But thanks.

  • orly now? lol was confused cause it said "driver is anonymous" at the top so yeh.. you happen to have a ps3 cause i've been looking for some really good people to race against, most people in DiRT 2 just don't cut it...

  • i do wats your psn id ill add you and we can race. Mine is ElTiempo832

  • damn that's unfortunate because my ps3 got raped by that last patch along with like 2 people i know who got the same problem within the same week... pretty lame.... my Cod:WaW is still inside to lmao :(

  • mods rule!!!!

  • nice, looks cool! Just completed dirt 2 but fancied a more rally based rally game, maybe even with random engine failures and shit!?

  • 1:57 was Awesome:D

  • nice video!!! but 1:54 WTF???

  • Haha, the Fiat Punto. I cut the bank on the inside just a tiny bit, and it sent the Punto flying. Man did I laugh.

  • nice vid, :D

i wonder where can i find the RichardBurnsRally/Cars/ folder because i can't find it, please help me. Great video

  • I really want to see a vid of when you got to drink red bull and it was pretty funny but I cant find it anywhere!

  • Uhm.. what?

  • When you won Richard Burns would come and join you for a can of Red Bull and it looked funny. This was one of the first games to have lots of sponsors in it.

  • Oh that. He does that after some rally school tests.

  • the dameg on the cars in this game is bad

  • I just realized this video is 3 years and one month old. :0 Happy birthday to yooou.

  • I just have to add that me and my brother discussed making a sequel to this in a near future.. Because I just started playing it again. We have to "celebrate" eeeeeh? :D Time to practice.

  • I hope it is just as good as this one!

  • This game is so challenging, I always get absorbed into it.. Rally racing is the best motorsport..

  • Indeed.

  • 2:57 that was close

  • i've played the demo, but the cars seem to fly off at easy corners above 60kmh. is that normal or is it just the demo's fault?

  • I'm wondering this too. I'm not the greatest at driving sims but I am not the absolute worst either but I can't keep my car on the road in the demo. Even with a wheel it's a miracle if I can go 30 seconds without crashing even if I'm not pushing.

  • i found out that the actual game behaves like that too, fairly unrealistic. my friend whos an amateur rally driver said that this game is not even close to what rallying feels like in reality...

  • What track is it at 1:57?

  • i love this video

  • Wasn't using a keyboard.

  • I was generally speaking ..

  • You might want to add that next time, then. ;)

  • what wheel do you use?

  • Logitech Wingman Formula Force GP. It's kind of old, I guess. Like 7 years. :0 But I love it.

  • I have the same wheel :P. But i play mostly Live For Speed S2 demo online. This game is quite difficult. Needs a lot of concentration and practising.

  • how many degrees can it turn? *bad englis*

  • I don't know. :)

  • 1) why the buck he used windows movie maker?

    2) he made RBR look like and arcade - stupid physics

  • 1) He obviously didn't have access to anything else.

    2) Stfu and gtfo. :)

  • and you, sir, watch your RBR cartoon!

  • Niiiceeee movie ;d

  • I like cheese.

  • 1:23 to 1:27 doesnt look that realistic to me....best sim game is LFS in my opinion

  • Then you need to watch some more rallying.

  • hahahaha ok show me the video

  • Try some television.

  • Can't find one? I've seen plenty of rally, it just does not look realistic. I'm not bashin your driving i thought it was good, just sayin it doesnt look realistic dont get all butt hurt and defensive about it.

  • 1:23 is a glitch, the wheels are turning too fast because hes not using a wheel. Its a bug, LFS has them too.

RBR overall is more realistic than LFS, ive played both extensively. LFS isnt even the most realistic of the road sims. You really need to play RBR to understand just how good it is

  • I never said LFS doesn't have bugs, in LFS I can fly full speed at the wall, and still drive away. LFS feels the most realistic to me, and im not just a PC Racer, I have had my car plenty of times out to the track on open track day. I did get RBR, I played it last night for about 10 min with the keyboard...it seems more realistic than Xpand Rally, I will continue to play it with my wheel, but right now LFS takes the cake in my books, but to each his own.

  • LFS is also still in ALPHA stage right?

  • Mr. irR4tiOn4L. I am using a wheel. It is not a glitch. I'm just very quick at getting the car back under control .. mostly. So you're wrong there. :) The wheel I'm using is a Logitech Wingman Formula Force GP.

  • DarthPhotek, a computer wheel has little rotation and little force, allowing for much quicker turning. Its a glitch because a real car cannot turn its wheels that fast with current power steering technology. ie it is physically impossible to do it that quick in a car.

1found1, i like LFS and played it a lot, even if it wasnt the BEST (GTR i thought was better). Its good to see you are trying RBR. You really need to give this game time though. At first it will feel weird.

  • oh, and dont even bother comparing this to 'xpand rally'. What a joke of a game.

  • Xpand rally is indeed a joke. My personal favourite rally game of all time though has to be Rally Masters. Dunno if you lot have heard of it, but it's probably the game I played most back in the day. The footage of the game on youtube sucks camel testicles as well. You really need to play it yourself (with a wheel) to realize its magnificence. :) It's old, but fuck me it's good.

  • Yes, ive heard of it, its not as realistic as RBR in terms of physics, but is better in terms of tracks (very long). Good choice, pretty much the second best rally game out there

  • You're thinking of Rally Championship. ^^ Rally Masters' tracks weren't particularly long. :)

  • LFS is much more realistic than RBR. More complex and accurate physics. MUCH more complex.

  • what is LFS? :)

  • Looking For Semen.

  • Life for Speed

  • btw it's "live" for speed

  • No,

LFS is NOT rally game, its RACING simultor.

  • No-one ever said it was, smartypants.

  • Shows how much you know about RBR, bmwracer67. I'd say it's the other way around tbh. :)

  • I am an avid Sim Racer. So far a play rFactor, LFS, and NR2003. I have been looking at RBR. Is it particularly hard? And will a 200 degree wheel be ok for it?

Nice editing from your brother, tell him he should get Sony Vegas, he could go further with that.

  • Nice for movie maker. Next time ask your brother to try Sony Vegas.

  • where do you download the game?

  • it's best rally sim which i seen, i'm sure, that's better then colin mcrae so about this vid, it's good, nice accident's but srry, music is too poor...

  • music is shit, but the drive skill is very good

  • Dumbass.

  • That's right, Elgsdyr.

  • 1.28....nice.

  • bro tahnk you for music and video :))

  • wtf R.I.P Richard Burns? He aint dead...???

  • Where've you been the last three years? He's dead. Check wikipedia or something.

  • Lol i was watching Rally alot on tv but i don't watch it know so i didn't know :/ i know that Colin Mcrae died in an accident but richard burns...ugh sad...and Marko Martins Card reader died also ...so many ppl O.o

  • now*

  • Wow!!! U are good driver. And this video is good too:)

  • nicely held dude at 1:27 :DD and 2:00. nice driving indeed :D

  • RBR despite its graphics shortfall has the best physics of any rally game ever.. and that in itself is worth far far more than games with fancy graphics with crap game play ie.. CMR Dirt.. its terrible, so dissapointing! :(

  • Is Dirt really that bad?

  • CMR: DIRT isn't bad, it's just not realistic enough for us hardcore nolifers. ;) On a more serious note, personally I just find it way too easy to drive. I'd rather have a proper challenge, such as this here game. It's all down to taste, really. Some people enjoy DIRT, others RBR, and then there are those who are fine with both. :)

  • i agree with you this game is worth far more then other games with fancy graphics. i play dirt as well some times what let dirt down was the creators making it so it would sell most on the american market since the wrc isnt liked by most over there

  • WOOOOW 1:53 :D:D:D

  • Marvelous shot @2:37! Great video.

  • shitty german noises damnit

    good vid anyway

  • LOL 1:53

  • I prefer RBR even though it's not as realistic as CMR Dirt in sounds, graphics, but it has a handling that i think is much, much more realistic. As I got use to the RBR handling i come to know that if youre sliding it's not the best way to press the brakes as hard as you can if you want to take up a corner.

  • yes..best rally training tool...RBR...but don't expect greatness in graphic and some of the physics of the crash..but real-time in handling dept. was good enough to be appraised by me....

  • Sorry to disappoint you, there's no altered physics or anything in this video. I blame my odd driving style and car setups. ;) I agree with you regarding CMR:Dirt, however. And for me, this is still the ultimate rally simulator.

  • I'm normally not one to argue on Youtube. But for those of you saying that Dirt looks more realistic... you'd really have to try both games with a good wheel to gain an understanding of what RBR is all about. It's a rally driver's simulation; almost a training tool. I saw a few moments in this video where it looked like the car and/or physics had been modified and may appear unrealistic but don't let that fool you. Out of the box RBR is still the definitive rally simulator.

  • Otit sitte sisältä !!!

  • 01:52 LOL the greatest offroad flight I ever seen in this game XD 200kph at hairpin? :P

  • How do you get that wheel sounds ? I have a soundblaster audigy SE and i dont hear it like that !!

  • at 2:42 the window didnt broke whata f*ck

  • Who let you out of the cage?

  • It's a 2004 game you retard, looks decent even now.

CM's DIRT would be would be godlike if it would have been as tight and well done all-around as this back then.

  • really cool video! Mad driving skills!

  • hey i have a problem whit this game i installed it and then when drive a stage the trees and all the other scenery flashes somtimes dissepear and then comes back :s is this a problem with my gfx card or somthing else i dont think that its a problem with my gfx card cause i can play tdu unlimited on high ^^ plz reply thnx srry for my bad english

  • what is this song

  • Oomph! - Augen Auf

  • 1:57 WOW nice save

  • I love Dero

  • Aye. May the legends rest in peace.

  • at 1:10 it looks like something Colin Mcrae did... R.I.P to these great drivers, Colin Mcrae, and Richard Burns, and also Colin's son and anyone else involved... just felt I had to say that...

  • no music...post a rock vid if you wish to sing and dance

  • ...you can also check out my other videos. x)

  • If you'd have watched the entire video you'd know what the game sounds like.

  • One thing struck me...the crashes looked REAL...just need more stuff flying off the vehicle.

I could do without the gay-sounding music, rather hear what the game sounds like, perhaps it is pretty crummy?

Cool video, I'm looking for a "middle of the road" rally game...not so realistic that it gets frustrating and bores me to death...not so arcade that you bounce off the walls like rubber. And it has to have realistic crashes.

  • RBR is perfect game except one thing. Crashes, a lot of them are quite funny and unrealistic, but otherwise RBR is awesome game :-)

  • lol 1:21!

  • chriswhyte, I laugh at thee. Saying DiRT is more realistic than RBR is like saying chicks doesn't have a pussy. You stick to your little girlish arcade games, and stop making these silly posts on my RBR-movie, thank you.

  • Well said

  • i know to do only ™ and ® :P...nice game ;)

  • Oh, and modified physics for the Focus too. Physics are always included when downloading new cars, and I tend to keep them as stock as possible. :)

  • I don't use any modified physics if I can avoid it. :p I use the stock Subaru physics for the Sub'06, stock Citroën physics for Citroën'03, etc, etc. Works well due to them having the same wheelbase (at least in RBR) etc. The only modified physics I have is for the Skoda, since it's a "brand new" car for RBR. In my opinion it's a pain using brand new physics, since they're so extremely hard to set up, so I pretty much avoid any non-stock RBR physics. Can't help you. :]

  • Great video! And those of you who think RBR is a bad Simulator then giv examples of why, If you just say it sucks and have no support behind your oppinion then your oppinion is invalad.
