  • You have a leak in the DP gasket, this is why it smokes from the DP. I suggest you replace it and rebolt your DP to your Turbo.

  • FIRST GO TO THE SEAFOAM WEBSITE FOR THE CORRECT WAY TO DO IT. YOU CAN HYDROLOCK ENGINE WHICH IS CAUSED BY " FLOODING ENGINE" ,POOR SLOWLY SO IT DOESNT FLOOD THEN TURN CAR OFF FOR 5 MINUTES THEN RESTART. AND YOUR DONE IF YOU ADDED TO GAS TANK AND CRANKCASE.

  • 1.8T... niceee

  • this doesnt mess the car up at all

  • can you post a picture of the vacuum line?? please...

  • u had some nasty buildup

  • So I'm guessing the results are you get that missing horsepower back?

  • you don't have a 99 wolfsburg your completely a liar and an idiot

  • How much should the gap be? on each one?

  • i used this on my 01 volkswagen jetta 1.8t last night and i hate the results. i didnt let the car shut off cuz i was told it was best 2 maintain the car runnin while puttin in the seafaom,i let it sit for 15 mins, when i started the car up again a lot of carbon came out my exhaust, when i let the car idle it idles really rough and especially when i put it in drive(automatic) does any1 have an idea of why my car is doing this?yes i changed my spark plugs and oil yesterday before i did the sea foam

  • Double check your plug gap, and double check your coil packs are firmly in place....

  • Yea I heard that it can hydro-lock your engine...that's why you're not suppose to turn it off while you're putting the stuff in. After it's all in, though, you're suppose to turn it off.

  • @CaM2azfe should have changed both after not before. any leaks? some people notice this stuff cleans a little too good and old seals that are only blocked by build up are now leaking etc

  • yes you keep the car running while your putting seafoam in.half bottle in vac line shut car off for 10-20 minutes no longer then a 1/2 hour.start car up rev till smokes gone.and u stick a ha;f bottle in gas tank and i heard its recommended to do an oil change after seafoaming a car or like 500 miles before its due

  • I don't know how good that is to inhale (to the guy in the end)

  • what does seafoam do

  • it cleans out your engine simple as that

  • Comment removed

  • stock 24v are quick but not fast

  • they have better top end acceleration, but the 1.8T's have better 0-80 acceleration.

  • lol

  • Moron. That's how you use the product.

  • any diferents after that? does the car run better?

  • hahahaha, good results? i love how the camera man backs up...

  • suck on my balls. i don't own an accord anymore. just an old user name. since accord ive had a landcruiser, just sold, and a jaguar s-type, still have, and a mini cooper S R56, just bought. i could care less if a viper is faster. thats pretty fricken obvious. i love vipers. but what do YOU drive. btw i never said accords are fast.... accords are good reliable cars. my 230hp jag s-type is comfortable and gets 32mpg on the highway. my mini gets around 43 depending on conditions. so suck it bitch.

  • dude you just owned yourself with saying its your dads. NOOB! lol. What do you drive anyway? I drive a 99 Jetta Wolfsburg and they are good cars.

  • you could do that before a burount for some extra smoke

  • rofl

  • SEAPWNED burn oil now YAA FOR RING WASH

  • The only reason that Seafoam or any other cleaner would make the engine burn oil, is because oil gunk and carbon buildup were the only things keeping the oil from getting into the combustion chamber. It doesnt hurt your engine if you do it properly, and it doesnt matter which cleaner you use. Even water used in a spray to steam clean, has the same effect.

  • NEVER LET IT DIE like the accord guy said before it can hydrolock ur engine which results in bent rods thats the exact opposite of what youre supposed to do

  • PART 1:I have used alot of the Gum Out system cleaner on costumers cars and I have to tell you that even running you CAN lock an engine even when running doing this! We has a Vac guage and a valve that we would slowly open and let the cleaner go in.

  • PART 2: Letting it drink from the tube is WRONG and you are at risk of hydro lock! The smaller the tube the better as everyones not going to buy or make a unit like I had try to find a smaller tube then the booster tube and engine size matters how much you flow.

  • PART 3: In most cases useing a misting squirt bottle with water in it over the open intake will net you the same cleaning as the engine will trun the water into super heated steam and clean the pistons and the exhaust side of the engine, A FINE thick mist, let the engine pull it in.

  • Next time, go for a drive to burn off everything. It's not enough to just rev it up and leave it running in the parking lot like that. Hit redline a few times and take it on a 20 minute "freeway blast" to burn off all the excess Seafoam and carbon.

  • Make sure the car is warm, remove brake booster line, and SLOWLY pour in the SeaFoam. NEVER LET IT DIE. By pouring it in to fast you can HYDROLOCK your engine. That means it WILL be ruined. After you SLOWLY pour 1/3 of the can in, shut off the engine and let it sit 5-10 minutes. Then start it and drive it pretty hard. This allows the SeaFoam to get the upper rings. Thats the ONLY way.

    DONT let a $6 can become a $2000+ mistake.

  • pour it in to the intake? and this doesn't harm your engine if you do it right does it? and would it be safe to use on a vr6? i just bought one with a few miles on it and am looking to get a little more go out of it before i replace a few things with after market

  • it works on any engine

  • dont use it on a car with just a "few" miles on it...since a car with only a few miles wont have alot of carbon buildup

  • this guy is getting high off the fumes...lololol rock on dude

  • dumb ass

  • hahaha...

  • my lug nuts require more torque then a Honda makes lol

  • HAHAHAH

  • Ok this cant be good for ur engine. Does it hurt it and what is SeaFoam:? where can u get it.

  • doesn't hurt your car, it cleans your car. you can get it at the local kragens or w/e auto parts store you have.

  • Ok cool.

  • its a vw dumbass

  • Wtf that suposto mean ?

  • Volkswagen

  • i don't know if bently26 has noticed but, just about all foreign cars were the ugliest out there up till about the mid 90's. that is when they started looking half-way decent.

  • Respectfully disagree: I'd take a 500hp '67 Shelby GT500 over anything japan made in '67. i have nothing against overseas prod, heck, american cars are outsourcing labor and i'd still drive the new stuff (300C SRT-8 for inst.) but back in the day, the muscle car ruled all for sheer power. do a quick search for your rice burners... you don't see any much there from years '60-'80 huh.

like bently26 said " playing catch up since the late 70's" that's cuz before that they were way ahead of the game!

  • how can you guys say any of those cars are "real mens cars?" a real mans car is a muscle car. try a '69 Mustang Mach 1, Pontiac GTO, Chevy Nova, pretty much anything around that era that you can drop a big engine into. granted you'll only get like 8 mpg but that's not really the discussion, is it? just want to say i have nothing against vw's or honda's, just wanted to put in my $.02 worth.

  • Nothing against VW or Honda, but a big slap in the face for those that like them. Muscle cars are for old fogies ignorant to the fact that foreign companies make better (faster, better looking, more reliable and more efficient) cars than any American company can dream of matching. American companies have been playing catch up since the late 70's.

  • but before the 70's they rocked so shut it. :P

  • vw equals= mexican social girl/ girls car. but if you like the car then go with it. Its better then a honda but not by much: there both ugly to me. and yes i could afford them but i like fast cars.

  • vw corrado baby HOnda smells exept the NSX, but its overpriced soley ebcause i can't afford one, but im 17 and work at a pet store.

  • Isn't it better not to mess with the carbon in the engine? There's 185,000 miles on my nissan and never perform seafoam but runs great.

  • haha that is funny. you are hilarious!!!

  • the problem with hondas are that they don't make the VR6. which is the only REAL man's engine in a compact.

honda guys have small cocks. real men have big blocks.

  • Far out! That VW started smoking Marlboro for a while there! What does this Seafoam stuff smell like out the back of the car?

  • It probably smells like chemicals and is probably incredibly noxious. If you were racing someone you can get in front of them and kill them through asphyxiation.

  • oh no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • racermikel="get a real mans car like a 99-00 civic si

    or a 98-01 integra"

Are you stupid? Ask anyone, Ask any car enthusiast, no one would ever call a civic or integra a real man's car. Civics and integras are pieces of shit cheap cars.

  • racermikel you are obviously a poontart

who claims civics are real mans cars??

you know who drives a civic? MY 45 YEAR OLD MOM

you know what me and my dad who both bench 400+ drive? VWS

  • racermikel is possibly the stupidest person on youtube. "A REAL MANS CAR LIKE A CIVIC!!!!1!" it is great for the motor, cleans everything up nice. i do half can through the vacuume hose, half in the crank case (change oil right afterwards) and do a can in the gas tank. no performance gain unless your motor is WAY clogged up and your injectors are wayy dirty or something.

  • get a real mans car like a 99-00 civic si

or a 98-01 integra put not a freakin jetta

    idiot! seafoam? lol!

-its just a myth it does nothing for perfomance gains nor, does ir clean anything...dousche!

  • like every other honda guy, doesn't know jack shit about cars. i suppose next you're going tell him to run a straight pipe exhaust because backpressure is bad for performance right?

  • Get on google and type VW power, watch the 3 videos if you have enough brain to navigate youtube and find them. Granted I love honda's but because of people like you Honda's look bad. I drive a 1999 VW Beetle,a 1989 240sx w/ SR20DE-T and have owned a 1992 Honda Accord and I have driven every chassis of Civic ever made so don't tell me I don't know what I'm talking about.

  • lol hahahahaha dude even a jetta mk1 is way far better car than civic

  • nice

  • hey what vacuum line ??? i have the same motor 1.8t and i need to know wich vacuum line use!!

  • It should be the only vacuum line going into the drivers side of the intake manifold, also know as the brake booster line.

  • thx dude, haha buy the way that guy sounds cool... "SHIITT" haha too scared...

  • Does you Jetta always have engine light problem? or any other eletric problems

  • so was that running of seafoam only... thats crazy
