I think that Devestator in the movie wasnt a gestalt combiner like the G1 version... He's simply 1 robot thats too big to have one Alt mode... The vehicles is just parts of him not individual robots...

No dude. The reason for that is because ILM ( the company who makes the robot designs) were on a strict time constraint and didn't have enough time to design new robots. So basically they were forced to use the designs that they had already created to make devastator, and just gave them slight repaints (ala Rampage)

All in all, I think I'm gonna go with the Takara EZ Collection Devastator (each vehicle can form a robot and be part of Devastator and, multiple people agree with me here, overall the Devastator mode looks better).

The more I see of this toy, the less I like it. He just doesn't look like something I would have fun with, and his toy proportions don't work for me either. Very, very top heavy. Does he, perchance, look better in a leaning forward and crouched position (more akin to how he moves onscreen in RotF?).
