I'd like to attempt to educate UK-based YouTube users as to why uploading new episodes is a dumbass thing to do and ultimatly detramental to the TV shows they enjoy. Doctor Who has a major following outside of the UK particularly in the US and as such the BBC gets a large amount of revenue from selling the show abroad through channels such as BBC America....

In the UK there is a household TV tax of £143 (218 $US) and the income from other countries is essential in keeping this figure down and keeping the quality of the programmes up. Additionally i'd like to point out that placying something like "I do not own this content" in the description does NOT obsolve you of responsibility or prosecution.

'Fair' use implies for non profit entertainment or educational purposes on a public basis IF it's crediting the producer of the content because then it allows encouraged sales of the actual content. 'BBCI' player shows free BBC content on the same basis. But you must use this copyright rule to back you up and give the appropriate credit and the BBC will reluctantly let you

@jmtmew That's a very fuzzy citation of copyright law, and because of that I think you'll have a hard time giving your sources. You're point about iPlayer is not relevent to any point I made. IPlayer is funded by UK license payers...if you ever get a chance to visit the US, try to access IPlayer from their and see what happens. What will be the final strong backup to the points I have made will be this video being taken down to copyright violation within the next 2-4 weeks..

I disagree I think the theme tune and the starting title are excellent. dr who always had a change in the theme and in the titles ever since the 80's era starting with tom baker and then right up to sylvestor mccoy. I actually thought that there was some similiarities from the old who titles and the theme tune.
