I mean just think about it, guy has 300+ pound folks smashing on him every play, wearing him the hell down, it takes alot to mantain the same pace for the whole game. And then even if QB is under center, C has to be able to focus on getting the ball to QB rather than the biggest players on the field trying to kill him

The pass wasn't "short" it had too much air under it, as they say. Hall did a nice job of breaking it up regardless. Chad's always going to have a step when he's cutting in and out, Hall recognized he wasn't doing a fade or streak pattern, and knew he could close. It would've taken a perfect pass that only Palmer could probably deliver there with any consistency.
