I just got one of these and I got the DX6i I wanted the DX8 but it was a bit much for me at the time being so I went with just the radio for my mCPx I made the adjustments u suggested to the linkages but I went 3 turns instead of 2 cuz I was going by memory and the helicopter seems to respond well to the change. My question is though will the settings u made with ur radio be the same for the DX6i given the DX8 has more setting options? Thanks I love my new radio n helicopter and can't wait to f
Hey Rob! I FINALLY ordered me an mCPX V2 from HH. Any tips you can give me would be great. I've never flown a CP heli other than on the sim, but I should be able to pick it up really quick. I fly my mCX2 so hard it can't take some of the moves I try with it, thus getting the mCPX V2. Thanks!
@UtRadioGuy Hi Rick, great to hear from you.. I didn't even know there was a V2 MCPX until reading your post.. I will get one for sure.. Not much time to reply now but tomorrow I will email you more tips on the set up.
@Trainboy64 - I sent you an email about a week ago about buying it. Did you ever get that email? Yeah, check out the new mCPX V2. I guess they made the tail rotor bigger, and the new AS3X Digital Flybarless System. So I waited just long enough to buy one! I look forward to hearing from you on how to set it up. I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions since I'm new to CP. I did download the settings onto my DX8, now I just need the heli to get here. Talk to ya soon!
Thanks for the video but my tail seems to be kicking out big time now. Is there something you did to compensate for this or do I have a lemon? The reason I say lemon is because I've had a vibration problem since it was new. I done the canopy grommet mod too. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
@SuperRcguy It might be a Lemon, I have noticed differences in the quality too.. I have one that is great and I bought another just 2 days ago and it blows out terribly even when set up exactly the same.. I changed the tail boom and motor and it improved slightly.
Thanks for the reply, I see you run the weighted blades, I have to run these as the tracking is way out on the others and the heli wobbles all the time with them on, shame as I can feel the heli likes the light blades better.
One thing though … I have a DX6i and the TRAVEL settings are different. There is no SERVO page, just a TRAVEL ADJ page, on which I can set only a single value for each setting, i.e. for PITCH I can choose a setting from 0% to 125%, but I cannot set a range from low 70% to high 74%. I have set it to 75% as is recommended in the docs, but I was wondering … what's the difference between the way my machine sets one number and yours allows a range between two?
@Gairlochan Hi, yes you can set the limits on your radio.. but you have to move the throttle up.. When the throttle is down, you are setting the lower limit.. when the throttle is all the way up, you are setting the upper limit.. you can set them to different settings with the DX6i.. try it.. You do that from the travel adjustment page.. Try setting 80% with the stick down and then move the stick up.. and you'll see.. also note the small arrow...
Thank you for the tips, i have a Dx6i, used your setup info on heli and radio, works great makes helicopter fly more like in the promotion vids that you see from horizon hobby!! A+++++++
hi m8 just got my blade today ,just wanted to say cheers for setting worked great , the little bugger kept drifting left sorted out though never flown flybarless before felt bigger ... raptors 60 normal chop anyway cheers really good vid ....stu
Hey GREAT video. I will do this to my MCPx and post a video response. Thanks again, I was not liking how much positive stick you had to give it just to hover and it would drop like a rock because of all the negative. This also makes doing flips & loops a total pain.
If I change the pitch on the heli and am useing the stock controller is that a bad thing to so

@Trainboy64 , Thanks for the tip. Pity they don't put things like that in the manual … I'll try it out when I get a chance :-)
