  • wonder how it's like living in the 1950s? Sitting out on the porch all day reading a newspaper, going inside to listen to a radio (if fortunate, watching a tv). Working in a company where labor unions and labor laws didn't exist, being underpaid while slapped around by ruthless bosses with a hope that you'll come home in one piece everyday due to the dangerous machinery and low environmental standards.. eeh, some areas of the fifties may be great, but..

  • It's possible this ad dates from 1981. "The Jungle Book" was released in 1967 and then subsequent re-releases of Disney classics occured about every 7 years. The fashions do not look like those of '74 - indeed are more akin to the mainstream styles of the very late 70s/early 80s.
