I know this is neither here nor there but i think you got the date wrong on the mummy, it was 1999 not 1990. but Very interesting video though. It's hard to say who intended it and who didn't, it seems like in some scenes the checkered pattern would not have just been there it looks like it was brought in.

its to do with the fact that white relys on black to exist and vice versa.

just as the front and back of coin need each other to exist.

@VitalOner You thought wrong, it is the symbolic passage between dimensions, that i why you find the checker pattern on many taxi cabs to 'travel' from one point to the next. Could be coincidence, it's a popular floor design especially in america. You do make a good point about gang logos and them showing that they control many aspects of our lives. All good though, but what are they like? What do they want, intent, aspire to. What's the bigger picture?

Floors... They're just floors... a popular pattern seen in tons of place in real life. If I'd make a film I'd try to find a checkered floor, because they look so cool. They're always in diners, tons of hotels, everywhere... nothing odd about this except the person who took the time to make this montage, now that's pretty crazy.
