It's important to understand, the DA is plugged in like no other elected official. Under Section 35 of the Alameda County Charter, he has the ONLY county department where he can hire, promote, and fire, all his staff, without regard to merit. He uses this power to hire family members of powerful local politicians and judges, so they all owe him, and, if they make him mad, he can hurt their kid's careers. You want a DA who has to listen to the people, change the County Charter,
