Congrats on this excellent machinima and beautiful story. I believe it is meant to pique our interest, and it worked. I took the Quest inworld and have to say it is a moving experience. Give yourself time and take this powerful Quest in Second Life. You will be glad you did.
Well, my goodness, there is alot to like about this piece. The animation is beautiful, if a little stiff at times, the soundtrack is luscious and I love the talking dog. I didn't quite understand what I was seeing and if Uncle D is, or was, a real person. I would have enjoyed more narration about the quest and what it means and is and was to this character. Good job people. I am a voice actress so I was very happy to hear good voices and the poems were fabulous.
What a wonderful machinima. I love this art form, using a 3D engine or game to create cinema, more and more each time I see it. Beautiful job, and I cannot wait to visit this in-world. Second Life truly is one of the best things ever.
An evocative and deep story, fascinating and well-told. It makes very good use of Second Life as more than just another MMO - it speaks as loud and clear and true as any full-length film.
The video is emotional and powerful, especially for a movie created in a virtual world. However, the film in of itself doesn't bring the experience full circle. The real impact is doing the Quest itself in Second Life after seeing the film. Placing yourself in the environment, gives a deeper and more complete emotional context and experience. I highly recommend that after seeing the film to visit the Quest in Second Life.
This film touched my heart within the first three minutes. I highly recommend anyone in Second Life who has seen this film should go inworld and take the Quest themselves. Watching it is great. Doing it is even better.
Deeply touching that a Second Life movie could tug at our heart stings as well as inform us about the reality we all face. I applaud this effort and recommend that this video get sent to anyone who has a heart.
i'm glad i got to see this video as i went to the sim and nothing worked for me :(
