Winmo 6.5 doesnt look too bad infact on the xperia x2 with all sonys panels it looks great, htc's touchflo 3d (just a UI but still...) is pretty good too even that stupid iphone looks pretty decent. Probably just my opinion but android just seems dull and clunky

The phone's software is better than most; however, the phone is very ugly --no style. I think the whole selecting, turning to landscape, then typing process is very inefficient. If I was given a choice between getting the G1 for free, I still would rather have the iPhone; however, if I was given the choice to get a Windows Mobile phone for free, or the G1 for $200, I'd definitely take the G1 (I hate Windows in general).

Really can phone makers not use there own brains to come up with there own ideas, in my opinion they are just lazy and decide to copy the iphone. Review was good and I thank you for it, the only thing I did see that would make me say no to getting this phone is that the touch screen seems a little unresponsive, and the phone is a tad bit big.

Personally, phone tab doesn't need to be big. But I need big one because My finger is too big to touch the button and i also need sensitive mp3 player as well. The lastest mp3 players are loaded with touch screen. It seems me irritating. P3 is one of the lastest products. it contains haptic feedback so it intend to feel the beat and music sound. kinda novelty device. It has good responsive touch screen.

I'm more excited about the Android OS than I am of the G1 phone - which kind of reminds me of the T-Mobile Sidekick Slide. I look forward to what the Android will evolve into in the years to come. And the various phones that will adopt it.

OS with some serious potential if it gets the support it needs, but the hardware just isn't there in the same way the iPhone's is. Part of the reason the iPhone works so well is the software and hardware are tailored for each other. Google made an OS and farmed it out generally, in the same way Windows is. This is what will be any downfall of Android...

I gotta agree with you on that point. The iPhone's greatest strength is that its OS is specifically designed and engineered for the touchscreen interface which is why it's very smooth and near flawless.

Honestly Android is one of the first phone OS's to try to bring a desktop environment to a phone. With the gadget features and such it looks really professional, and yet still has the fun features. Also the advantage of the keyboard puts it above the iPhone.

Sadly it will never have as large a developer base I dont think. Just because the iPhone has more popularity and the developers rather go there. With that said Apple may want to consider adding a few more desktop like features to their OS.

The keyboard doesn't exactly "put it above the iPhone" in my opinion. But of course this varies from user to user. I personally prefer the iPhone over the G1, but I really like where the G1 is headed. I think it has great potential.
