I wish i could help but this isnt actually carbon fiber. Im using a film covering that has the appearance of carbon fiber. It is applied with heat (iron) and unfourtunatly has none of the properties of C.F. other than appearance.
@theMist09 Hey the knobs were turned on a lathe from one inch aluminium bar stock.This vids. quality is real bad. Since then i stripped the wannabe binding off and re did the faux carbon fiber covering and went with cream binding as well. I will upload ver. 1.2 It looks much nicer!
I am currently buisy with three guitar builds. however one is an explorer that will have faux C.F. sides. I will upload a vid showing the process when it's done. I use a heat seal covering used in RC airplanes. Nice bling for the buck! and it's not too bad to work with.
why not real carbon fiber
