  • stainless screen wire is awesome, take it and stack with spacers and roll it up, look out!!!!!, way more hho, less amps, less heat

  • hi, sorry it took so long to come back to you guy, {cream of tarter} i found to calm the cell down, the salt did not burn so readily forming the brown scum, dont know why !! just that it worked...

    thom, in scotland.,

  • I don't know why this is recommended to me because I don't understand what is happening here and why the experiment is being done. Would anyone care to explain?

  • this is a battery

  • Nice output level. What are your temps? I would like to see amps even tho you dont have a amp reader.

what are plate placement? To reduce heat I would add more N plates....the heat issues come from the (+) and (-) to close together.

  • what do you mean you dont have an amp meter? that meter would have amps prolly upto 10 amps

  • i am mysified. i have run a clear acryic smack booster with hd plates, ran them at 20 amps, 2 times 4n, and then wrapped wit 4 inch shrink wrap. i changed soup of sodium hydoxide after 3 months, say 10 tanks of gas, and not a bit of brown. now 3 months later, still drawing 2o amps and still have crystal clear soup. these are 302ss.

  • Hey, how did you find these plates at Home Depot? I couldn't find these at our local Home Depot, and I didn't find them listed on their internet site. I am trying to get these plates myself to make a HHO generator for the car. What puzzles me even more is that ALL the switch-plates at the home improvement places have cutouts for a switch or a receptacle, there are no blank ones like this.

  • I had the same problem, Kinda. I found the blank at my HD, but I cleaned them out. It took them about 3 weeks to get another shipment in. In the mean time I found them at my Lowes. I have better results with the lowes plates. The Hd say SS302 on the back and the lowes say SS304. In Pot. Hyd. solution, the lowes do not rust or scum. The Hd do. This is just what I found using plates. I am going for a 3-gang switch plate design to see what increased surface area does.

  • HEY I WANTED TO SAY.... I did that same thing in unit, but I used only 2 plates cut into quarters and stacked. I has about the same spacing as you did. Problem is if you're going to run it off battery straight up with a 30amp fuse, you're going to over heat the wires and pop the fuse.. this is what was happening to me. I reccomend DOUBLING THE SPACE between those plates, as I did, and the wires got substantially less hotter doing this! (plus I wired it in the fuse box to a 15amp outlet) nice job

  • do you think this is a good cell or is their something better i can bulid eazy like this one. how do you keep the plates from grounding on the bolts in the middle. what was all the beepping at the end lol.21 questions. hopeing for 27 ansers

  • wow i am going to bulid this now thanks how mush is the cell about i would like to know i hope a 1$ or 2$ i am poor.

  • These are galvanized steel plates - right?

  • Stainless steel is the only type you want to use.

  • current from alternator is not stability, when drive with high rpm can cause voltage output to increase to 25 volt and more hydrogen can produces.

  • you my friend are an idiot alternators have a regulator if the voltage went to 25 you would blow you computer and radio that is why an alternator has a voltage regulator

  • u you must have added a lot of soda.. get that result

  • i did same thing but used galvanized by mistake but should work or is it too magnatized or somthing just spark off battery

  • you probly have a short test the resistance with a multimeter out of the water

  • not letting me comment on vid

  • If you type in stmaartendude into the search, you will see how something like this can save you gas mileage. It is awesome and useful.

  • Hi sir HOAX. Love your videos. I build a 8 plate cell and placed it in 32 oz distilled water with 1/4 teaspoon baking soda. Had great HHO. Installed it on vehicle and had no problem at idle, but on test drive, blew 15 amp fuse. Reduced to 6 plate and then to 4 plate with same problem. I reduced baking soda to 1/8 and did not blow a fuse. I would have thought I could have run 8 plates on 15 amp fuse w/o problem. I, not very good in electrical dept. What is happening?

  • I think as the water warms up it conducts better and draws more amperage. I have a similar issue, I'm looking into finding an inline DC resistor to resist amperage to 20amps or less.

  • put another couple set of plates in series or as floatersr put a few diodes in series with them when they heat up, but two or more plates is better, they produce hho and limit current

  • most of you guys will know that salt in water will cause a gas that is poisonus to folks so be very very carfull... stop the brown by useing {cream of tarter } 20 Grams to 1Litre wtr.

    thom scotland.

  • this is true, if table salt (NaCl) is used as an electrolyte the bubbles produced by the plates will contain chlorine gas (aka mustard gas, yes the same kind used in WWII). The amount of chlorine gas emitted will likely not be very hazardous in such small amounts, although any toxic emissions should be avoided just as a precaution.

and just out of curiosity, how does adding tartaric acid (cream of tarter) effect the production of the brown bubbles?

  • hi, cream of tarter stopps the water going brown so fast, i am not entirly sure of the why's & wherefore !, but i found that it did work, it wont chemicaly react such as baking sodas do, {bubbling & foaming} but this works non the less.

    thom scotland.

  • Try using this plate array in tap water with NO electrolyte, you will notice you will get about the same HHO production on only

tap water, its my belief that this is part of the conditioning process,as well as to get rid

of the brown stuff. Its possible the addition of the electrolyte is only initial to condition the SS and at that point on , only

SS in tap water is needed, I have repeated this several times, and have gotten HHO production with as low as 3VDC from 2 AA batteries in series.

  • actually i've been using a similar plate arrangement with no electorlyte or soda or anything and it was actually a very inefficient setup.. I actually noticed production of HHO nearly quadruple when i used the baking soda!

and the soda actually eliminated the brown stuff i was getting too! I'm no scientist like most of the people i seen doing this i'm just scientific about my approach, and those were just the results i've noticed.

  • what electrolyte did u use?

  • what voltage are you useing????

  • 80% Pure Water = distilled ?

    20% "Salt" Water ?

+ About 1/4 teaspoon Baking Soda

    Correct?

  • thats elektrolyse isnt it..

    flameable shit bro

  • a yea thats kinda the point

  • the bakeing soda is a elctro inhananser and i de 1 for thes for my school science fare and i 1 mine is 24 plater and runs a 120 volts 5o amps so and i caut the school playground on fire with it

  • LOT easyer way to make bubbles than that

  • Hi sirHOAX ... Great stuff ... Can you show a comparison between DC without PWM and DC with PWM at whatever voltage works best ? ... Thanks ... If you use PWM you probably get less heat/boiling and less vapors ... Maybe compare temperatures as well ... Is it using any baking soda ?

  • HI .. WHY USE THE SODA??

  • Chlorine and salt will give DEADLY chlorine gas, and Baking Powder (Bicarbonate) will give away also DEADLY Carbon Monoxide, so NEVER use these 3 items with the water for electrolysis purpose !

  • Baking soda produces carbon-dioxide (not monoxide) which is harmless. When using it as an electrolyte it releases CO2 in the early stages of electrolysis and then the solution is quickly reduced to sodium and the CO2 stops. And yes, technically speaking electrolysis with the use of any kind of salt will create chlorine gas, however only in trace amounts. You would inhale more chlorine gas taking a hot shower than you would from breathing the air near an electrolytic cell in operation.

  • Great setup, you are getting alot of gas, Great job! & thanks for the subscription.

  • Looks like you're drawing 10 or more amps..

That gas measuring set up looks very slick, I'd like to see a close up of the config, will it work without pressure on the cell?

That Breaker is a great idea.

  • Thanks for the feedback, yes the gas measuring device took me a day or so to make between the epoxy setting, and everything else. It does put some pressure on the cell, so will have to see how this effects the tests. Circuit breaker is called "ShortStop" -

Working on a sealed cell as we speak.. :)
