The original Goudimel psalms harmonization "Cent cinquante pseaumes de David mis en rimes françoises " (150 David psalms adapted in french rhymes) by Clément Marot and Théodore de Bèze (1539 - 1562) was printed by Olivier Fordrin & François Duron in Geneva, 1562 (not in 1564) and was first published in Lyon in 1561. "Psautier huguenot", Psaume n°2 " Pourquoy font bruit et s'assemblent les gens?", lyrics by Clément Marot, (Strasburg, 1539) on a melody by Guillaume Franc (Geneva, 1542)
I just love these Goudimel settings. These are totally unfamiliar to me. Do Dutch Churches still use these settings, or have they gone to something else-more modern? Thank you for continually uploading these. As a Church musician, I find these invaluable. BRIAN
@ernststolz I am also. These people would not know Bach or Telemann if they walked in and introduced themselves!!!..... and this is a LUTHERAN Church!!! SO SAD.................:(
Masterful...

Undoubtfully, the painting at 0'31" and 2'03" are by the dutch painter Pieter Jansz Saenredam (1597-1665) But is it "Harlem Grote Kerk" inside view?
