played this one night when i was 16 my mum heard the begining piano and guitar and said to me to leave that good blues song on , when she heard the lyrics she screamed at me to never play it again, im 48 now and i play it loud.
@hottypunk1 One of the best breakdowns on a song, and so cool following the other sections.
It was shocking to hear it in on first release, shortly after "God save the Queen, she ain't no human being". Could people really say stuff like that on a record?!
Absofuckinglutely brilliant. My all time favourite blues number. Used to play this to death, still know the lyrics and sang along faultlessly after 30 odd years. Damn that's a fucking hot as shit song, gotta have another listen! Peace to ya all :-)
@pppeea wish u lived in the north east mate...Im a lead guitarist vocalist..spent 20 years in RNR Rockabilly bands...Love the stuff...Gigged loads in south wales....Good luck getting sorted out...
mike- yes it's perfectly true- it's in Jools's autobiography. It was his first recording session, and the lyrics had not yet been recorded. When he was given the acetate, he put it on in front of his proud parents and grandparents, not realising what they were about to hear!
Saw them at the County Ground in Northampton @ 1979. One of them was wearing a Nazi uniform, but I can't remember who (it wasn't Wayne, as he was Jayne by then).
They got drowned in gob - partly for the uniform but mostly just for the badness of it - and went off stage in a huff. Came back on after a while... and got drowned again. Happy days. :)
when wayne and company hit the stage at the reading rock festival in 1977 with this song the crowd went crazy and proceeded to rain mud, beer cans and anything else they could get their hands until the band quit playing...the only thing that quelled the mob was the fact that the doobie bros equipment was on the stage and wouldn't play if their stuff was ruined...it was great...
I've still got this Blatently Offensive EP on grey vinyl.....Wonder how much it's worth?

What's the option on the video that says 480p and 360p?
zitloaf 2 years ago
its how high you want the resolution.
if you have a slower net connection, pick the lower res, and it will buffer faster, but have less pixels, and so will be more blurry.
the higher the resolution, the clearer the picture. as long as your connection is keeping up, keep the higher setting
