easily easily easily anne baxters sexiest role those jeans that kind of husky voice that trip down to water hole close to perfect but then William Wellman did little wrong in this film Peck was fine and something else notice there is very very little music along the lines of Hitchs Lifeboat just silence and dust and wind and rain they could no more make a film like now than dig a posthole with their fingernails but at least we have these treasures

I watched the movie for the first time today and I loved it I'm 13 and I love the older movies so much more! the ones now most of them are crappy!

*spoiler* The end was a lot 'nicer' than most westerns.... the only thing was gregory peck and his remaining gang members returned all the money they stole to a bank and peck says 'we did it! it hurt, but we did it..." why would it have hurt lol. they had 50,000 dollars worth of gold dust!!! ;-P

Made when I was eight, and movies were great and stars so epic they inspired dreams of how we could be. Gregory Peck and Widmark ( not seen ) were the best for an entire lifetime.

Great movie, but there is a lot more to it than Peck and Baxter. Would have appreciated scenes with Richard Widmark and John Russell

i agree! i saw this movie on tcm and now i own it. i neverget tired of watching it. great actors and fine performances. i recommend it highly.!

That was so great! I've never seen this movie or heard of it but I love Gregory Peck in just about anything so I'm def going to have to check this out. Thank you so much for making this, faves and 5*'s!!
