  • can u post Liz Reed from this show?

  • @warrenbiker I just watched a version of Kind of Bird from 2010 with Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks on guitars and maybe the new line up isn't like that everytime, but man is it LAME compared to THIS version. I don't know. The latest version of the ABB just doesn't cook like this version and this version is a bit less than the original version with Duane and Berry.

  • @boblackey1 You have no clue what you're talking about. Duane & Berry never played this song. It was written by Warren Haynes & Dickie Betts.

  • @stealyourface73 Oh I'm sorry for the confusion. I mean the current version of the Allman Brothers doens't "cook" like THIS VERSION OF THE BAND!! And the Warren/Woody version of the band is a bit LESS in it's power and creativity than the ORIGINAL version of the band with Duane and Oakely. The current Allman Brothers Band line up with Derek, Warren and Otiel, while all being great musicians, has LESS of that classic ABB sound than this lineup. Sometimes they don't even sound like the ABB.

  • There are some dvd's on ebay. Not commercial quality but good enough for me. I bought the Allman Brothers guitar songbook #2 so I could learn this song. Not for the novice for sure. They played this with the fire that Dwayne and Dickey had in 1969-1971. Warren helped revive these guys in the 90's.

  • @FMguitar70 When as a duo they play together with all that percussion reverberating behind them as well giving them a dynamic "wall of sound" dimension while they then spin into interludes of dueling it out not just in basic riffs but with masterful guitar playing. Those Germans must have wondered what in the hell was going on. Southern rock is an unrecognized genre as critics back then just assumed these long haired southern boys were just hillbillies which, well, they were.

  • They didn't play "Jessica" for the Germans? I'd be angry.

  • Old school WH = PHAT

  • Awesome composition and musicianship.

They played this for Johnny Carson with Doc and his band filling in with horns.

Another amazing version, if you can find it.

  • Is this concert on DVD? It's amazing!!

  • This track reminds me more of their earlier stuff than the country-ish stuff that came later. Sooooooooo good

  • Phenomenal!!!
