Different dynos different numbers! A stock low comp motor like yours should not come across the 4,000 lb rollers that this car was on giving those numbers. Our needles were played with more on later tests which dyno'ed with a little more more BHP and Tq. To double the stock BHP to the rear wheels of your car which should already be above stock is really good. Reality is all engines have a certain point they can reach within reason. We publicize our results. How about everyone else?
Your not going to see double digit increases in torque on modified engines. Modifying an engine will gain plenty of BHP but not huge amounts of torque.
You have to look at is the --Complete Graph-- NOT just the salesman's bragging one point of Peak BHP/Tq. In other words, sure you have the power and torque claimed, that I can see BUT!!! Publicly post your dyno results online! No shame in any numbers but a big shame to not post. This is what we have, thats what we're showing. :-)

Thanks! We install all types of engines in MGBs. The most popular to this day is the 1993-1995 Camaro L32 3.4L V6. In its stock form, it leaves even built and supercharged MGB engines in the dust.
Geez mine is stock engine with a Weber 32/36 and I laid down 50HO and 89 ft Lbs of torque. That's a lot of work and money for not much improvement.
Someone somewhere didn't do something right and by the way it doesn't sound right at idle.

At least now you have more HP and Torque than in the video.
I would trade a few horses for a few ft pounds.
Your car wasn't happy pushing the roller? Shouldn't have been a problem with good tires and it should have pulled solid all the way up the RPM scale.
I also noted you did the test in third rather than fourth.
Different Dynos Different Days but they should still be ball park.
Lots of toys on that engine for 5 foot pounds of torque.

Cool. Building a LZ9 3.9 late model gm V6 for transplant this winter.
275 HP and ford T5.
Old engine will go into an Improved C class autocross.

What did you do to get the cars weight down to 2100 pounds?
On the best of days a rubber bumpered MGB tips the scales at over 2300 dry.
What did you remove or replace? Fiberglass fenders,etc.?
Very nice output for a non stroked 18V

The rubber bumpers were gone as of that writing but not as of the video.
All smog gone, misc. bits and pieces, soft top is now a storable, not a foldable type, small steps. Weight is approximate.
Comparably, I can tell you that the V6 MGB we built only weighs in at 2250 with a full tank of fuel and has far more added to it than this one.

The head has been ported very well. H6/HS6 carbs- maybe a little more but this is a street engine.
The car was brought back to the dyno earlier this year and with a leaner needle, the power output went up to 91 BHP at the rear wheels.
