  • The raw food is the naturally whey for os to eat? i wonder how the cavemen got electricity to there vitamix ore juicemakers or how they made almound butter =) if you try to be smart with food then you should not only eat nature food you should also not juse electricity ..

  • There are wheat free oats that a lot of celiacs can tolerate, there is a small percentage who cannot tolerate oat gluten. You should look into this :)

    I am definitely going to order your oats and make your recipe. I have an idea...I am going to put some blueberries and raw walnuts on top. You are so cute and creative. I just started eating raw, living foods last spring because I got cancer from being obese and many other health problems. I am really struggling through this. but you have shown me that there are more foods that we can eat besides just fruit. I love fruit, but it does not keep one full. Do you do health constellations?

  • That's how you do nutrition, you make it up as you go. If you have to mechanically or chemically process "food," it is not something you should be eating.

  • This looks delicious but there's a problem with eating this dish as a stand-alone meal: blood sugar regulation! What she's basically eating is fruit (sugar), honey (sugar), oats (easily converted to sugar), raisins (whoa-sugar). Even if you don't have overt blood sugar issues, regulating blood sugar via diet is essential to good health.

    This might also explain why the people (and other people who eat exclusively RAW) in the video appear to be so hyperactive. It's all about their diet.

  • @KMarlee I just had a bowl of raw oatmeal with abit of honey in it and I can say that I don't feel hyperactive. I think they are just happy energetic people. The apple rates a 36 on the glycemic index and the honey a 58.

    Those additions aren't too bad. Raisins.. well.. abit more concentrated. You probably just don't want to eat a massive bowl of it.. But its REAL good :-)

  • @KMarlee But cinnamon and maca are some of the best foods to consume to control blood sugar. Also, raw honey provides nutrients and antioxidants, and the apple apple and raisins provide fiber and even more antioxidants. The oats, if relatively raw and unprocessed, contain enough fiber that they also help stabilize blood sugar. Check where they fall on the glycemic index.

  • Just made this recipe and it was great! Blended it with almond milk and raw mango honey then poured it over some bananas and topped it with raisins and strawberries. Next time I need to add some water though cause after a few minutes of eating the mix became thick like paste. Still yummy though. Oh and I need to soak the oats overnight next time as well. Thanks for the recipe Angela! ;-0

    research has recently found out that there is a small amount of gluten in oats; though there are celiac people who can eat oats as there is only a tad of gluten in them and there are celiac people who cannot digest even that small amount.

  • hi i had to chew on something w/ you, if oats're liked @ form &not flour yet home blend here lol, powders can be apprehension as reconfigurations or concentrations to learn anew. so maca's supposedly root similar to radish of top thyroid tips then those small easily air driable edible/rehydrate in miscellaneous catalysts moist foods immersing. & crushed cinammon may not be distinguishable flaky bark roll piece that's more authentic less toxic spice than tight woody covering passed off as such ~

  • Actually oats grown naturally away from other grains do NOT have gluten (my husband is celiac). The problem comes when oats are cross contaminated by grains that do have gluten. Also sprouting grains uses up the gluten in the sprouting process and can be tolerated by some celiacs. Regards, Rawkeena

  • It says Organic Raw Buckwheat Groats 22oz. Not Whole Raw Oats like your beautiful wife has. Is it the same thing?

  • Maybe English porridge is a different consistency than what we're used to here in north america, because I agree with Matt that looked a little too smooth to be oatmeal/porridge. But it seemed just right to Angela! lol

  • raw honey from somewhere in ohio? Where in ohio? I'm in Columbus so I'd love to know where I can get local raw organic honey!

  • I am in Ohio too. We have purchased local raw honey at the Clintonville Farmers Market. There is a bee farmer that has a stand there called Barry's Bees. I'm not sure if they sell it anywhere else in Columbus. You might want to try the Clintonville Community Market.

  • I'm not a "raw foodist", but I try to incorporate as much raw foods and meals as I can each day and I have to say this was sooo good. I had a bunch of organic raw oat groats; I had no idea what to do with til I saw this vid. Added everything Angela did, but also added a bit of warm almond milk and topped with a lil walnuts. I really liked this alot; I've been eating it everyday. Thanks Angela!

  • I'm new to raw foods and slowly making transitions. Now, on cold days I like warm food. Do you warm food up to maybe 120degrees so it doesn't kill enzymes? If not, how dow you deal with it?

  • Wow I will have to try this blended next time. Just soaked oats was like eating glue sorta. Not sure how to describe it. Chewy as it was I enjoyed it warmed room temp with just cinnamon on it.

  • Oats are gluten-free.  However, many oats are contaminated by wheat growing nearby. If you're really concerned, order oats from gluten-free oats. They're guaranteed no cross-contamination.
