I am now a proud owner of a Zero 8! This is a fantastic unit with an amazing 161/4'/16 RCA inputs and 16 output! I'm running nearly my entire studio through this unit! It's like having a patch bay, control surface, Kaoss Pad EFX, mixer, and a audio interface all in one! It is hard to compare this unit to anything on the market. If you have the money get it! The hiss is what I find to be normal for an analog mixer. No problems!
too much korg dude, they make good shit, but you dont want too much of the same company, your sounds start to get repetitive, and you loose your creativity after awhile, maybe switch on of them and the mixer for a machine drum or something that will make ur music explode with new sound
@Shadouts Yes we do!! Hey, it's the same as kids wanting new toys all the time. Using the same sound eventually gets old. And yea, I agree about being able to improvise with what you have, but adding the right kind of equipment can open up lots of new sound possibilities.
amazing man, that's my dream setup, although i might the zero 8 with the zero 4, and might add a micro korg. but did all the sounds generate from the emx-1?
I own a djm 800 mixer and i find when using it to control ablelton it gets a little cluttered. Was wondering what you guys think is the best midi controller add on to my current set up. I was thinking the xone 2d. Any thoughts
won't that leave an extra 2 channels spare..?, man...thats the setup i'm after....i've got the esx and have a mc307, as well as abletone but am currently saving for the zero 8...that things causing me not to go out and just eat noodles to save money...can't wait, only have a grand at the moment....they're just over $3000 in australia here....but its worth it...!!..??
nice set dude, makes me wanne come over there and steal it ;o)

i want a korg zero 8 with two cdj mk3 1000's
chestpimps 2 years ago
why do you want a zero 8 with two cdj mk3 ?
better : Korg Zero 8 , two Technics 1210 Mk5 , two cdj mk3 1000 , and four channels on ableton live... then you would use the whole potential ;)

Real artists don't need new equipment to make new sounds.

I really want one not just coz it looks deadly
But maybe it's not gonna be simple to learn
Use for ableton and would be a waste not to hook up my to 1210s?

that's even more cluttered, get yourself couple of Akai MPD's or m-audio trigger fingers, customize and map to your liking.

hello, where did you get that custom foam case please?
killkelly 4 years ago
I plan to utilise 4 channels for Ableton 6 that will complement the two machines.
Cheers for the comments,
Holotropik.

nice setup but I find that you narrow your creativity by only using twee electribes with the zero 8.
I would hook up a laptop to.Really offers you MUCH more choices.

Somewhat vague example of new musical equipment. Maybe you could add some live comment what you're doing or show what features really excite you.
I look forward to your next clip and wish you best of luck on your musical or dj-career.
cheers, Mark
