Hmmmm. That's crazy. People make no sense. as a poet it seems bizarre to me that a poet would encourage prejudice. Poets are supposed to try and rid the world of this type of thing, being equipped with the most powerful tool and weapon (words) comes with a certain responsibility. Baffling. Thanks for the info.
If you don't mind my asking, what types of films was she boycotting? Was it exclusively because they were by Israelis? My mind is having difficulty understanding this. As a black female, part of two different minority groups, she should know better, I would think. What were the films?
I boycott Ms. Walker because she is boycotting Israeli artistic work, shes boycotting my people.
I think Alice is misinformed and her views regarding this particular situation are completely one-sided. I simply want to return the favour, do no less and no more than what Alice did to us...
