  • Who wants to join me in battling all these racist people in the comments?

  • That dude can dance.

  • How the fuck can an innocent video go to racism? This a cool video and the guy can dance, but the racist comments are getting old! Just realize what ever color you are there's someone who doesn't like you and then you die!! Enjoy your short ass life while you can!!!

  • @justinvideos1 Yes, I think yr correct, I just had a check on Wikipedia

  • Holy dam!! That's pretty dam impressive

  • @guitarlegionleader We didnt exist in the 40's huh yo ass didnt exist until the time of Issac and Rebekah whites never exist when my ancient forfathers build the pyramids under the oppression of the Egyptians we can go farther than that Adam and eve they were black and you really didnt exist fuck outta here.

  • @PrinceOfthyPower7 hey, dumbass, how do you know that Adam wasn't white and Eve was black or vice versa? You racist black bastards always think you're the supreme race. Guess what asswipe, there are NO supreme race except for the HUMAN RACE.

  • @simwrangler

Neither Adam nor Eve could have been black because even white geneticist have admitted that the pale skin genetic mutation present in non-blacks was not around until sometime during or after the Ice Age. Before then, ALL of us modern human biengs were natural skin toned, AKA "black".

  • @lionzion22 Oh no, not another racist asshole?

  • @simwrangler

Whoops, what I meant to say was neither Adam nor Eve could have been white.

Dont call me names, I'm just the messenger. You can google those racist asshole geneticist that said it...if you know what googling is.

  • @lionzion22 Whatever They even said that Eve was an early ape too, I bet your dumbass believe that too.

  • @simwrangler

Nah, that early ape would be you. Now shutup and enjoy our fantastic human dancing.

  • @lionzion22 Fuck you you racist mother fucker. Most of you black people are the most racist assholes.

  • @simwrangler

Black folk never put written or verbal laws on the books to stop you from doing anything. No excuse for your wicked stupidity.

  • @lionzion22 Whatever you racist faggot.

  • @simwrangler Idiot.

  • @callowaymotorcompany racist asshole.

  • @simwrangler Didnt know "idiot" was a racial slur.

    Stupid piece of shit.

  • @callowaymotorcompany Stupid mother fucking ducheback asshole

  • The "Human Beatbox" is provided by men who were possibly the first famous black vocal group of the recorded sound era: The Mills Brothers. Groups like The Ink Spots, the Moonglows, the Five Satins and, of course, The Temptations all owe something to the Mills Brothers. The melody they are harmonizing is, "Caravan," a Duke Ellington hit from that era.

  • Except of course the music was much better then and they weren't looking at street thugs, drug dealers, and pimps as role models.

But yeah, you go back and look at some of the old tap teams like the Nicholas Brothers or Tip Tap n Toe, some amazing stuff.

  • Amazing footage. That's true breakdance right there.

  • breakdance with a little bit of KRUMPIN!!

  • Homeboy wuz busting swipes

  • Unfortunately, the footage cut out before Crazy Legs from the Rock Steady Crew joined in :oD

  • that's a real dance video

  • Wow!

  • Geez, there's black and white films of break dancing from the 1960s. Look it up.

  • Wow this black people are great

  • my god, how far have we come,,,,great talent, but how so wrong

  • how nice, break dancing at it's early stages :)

  • great stuff! what's this from??? and yeah break dancing owes a lot to previous flash dance (acrobatic dance) forms from before. acrobatic dancing is nothing new in general, neither is battle dance... not take away for breaking, they have innovated and came up with new moves but it was created on the backs of previous flash dance styles. very little can be created in a vacuum.

  • Sweet

  • whats the name of the song????

  • @ehoey2009 Redman used it in his song "The goodness"

  • For anyone who still doubts the authenticity of this video, here's the link to the extended version: watch?v=14QEoEIvUuk

  • Thnx 4 all your effort trying to bring this up here...

I really love this vid! And Im searchin the movie Too :D Thanks!

  • wow !!, the roots of breakdance n hip hop

  • I wonder if it's possible to show a direct lineage, or progression, through archival footage from then until the 80's. Or perhaps going back even further to Africa.

  • hi brilbarrett, it's just fantastic.. any more then this 38 seconds... ? love it.

  • his swipes are cleaner than mine.

  • what movie is this from?

  • Hahahaha get it boy!!!

  • homie was gettin down!

  • I go crazy of people yelling everything is fake just because they dont know it.

Like their knowledge is a standard of what is true and what is not.

I have this film in my collection, its a real classic.

  • @jeanaro what is the name of the movie? I would love to know.

  • @brilbarrett mills brothers - caravan

  • @jeanaro yeah, people are close minded. they see something done by a current person in this day and age and dont realise that it came from somewhere. and they cant handle that they are wrong thinking its a new thing, everything has roots...its a shame many dont realise this. the early 20th century has given us a lot of things we use today, just in a new style and to new music...like even the word dude for example, came from the 1870s....and look how common it is, people are saying it to this day

  • @jeanaro agreed man its because most people assume everyone else is as stupid as they are LOL

  • That was bad ass

  • what movie is this i wanna watch it

  • the song is "Caravan". I'm not sure who did this version. I wanna say Dizzy...but I'm probably wrong.

also, the dancer is actually tap dancing. the clip seems to be dubbed so you can't hear it. :]

  • It is definitely real.

  • @guitarlegionleader BUT YOUCAN GUARANTEE YOU CAN GET YOUR ASS KICKED FOR BEING A FILTHY MOUTHED RACIST TODAY. ....ASSWIPE!

  • @guitarlegionleader Who gave you permission to take your snout out of the trough?? Just keep on wallowing in shit and I know it's difficult but try not to eat it. Oink oink!!

  • @flaxonx3 I'm not a nigger, I don't wallow in shit ;)

  • @guitarlegionleader Hey little piggy, you do wallow in shit. It's in your nature, nothing to be ashamed of. All creatures of genus sus wallow in excrement. That's nature. Oink oink!!

  • @flaxonx3 Sorry, it's not in my nature to wallow in shit, since I'm not a nigger <3

  • @guitarlegionleader Get the message!! You're a shit devouring pig who when not eating the stuff is simply content to wallow in it. Stop living in denial. That's what your genus does. They eat poo, they do!

  • @guitarlegionleader what? you eat it?

  • THIS VIDEO IS NOT REAL!

WHEN THE GUY DO THE BACK FLIP THING.

    THE GIRLS HAVE NO REACTIONS!

I THINK U GOT THAT IN THE MOVIE?

  • @EDMCHAOZ Um, they're making a movie - the girls probably had to watch him do backflip after backflip a million times until they finished the scene the way the director wanted it. Yeah, they're not going to have a reaction after so many times.

  • You are def. right about that!!!!

  • forgot to mention original beat box also...lol

  • i love the song its sick

  • wooooooow

  • damn i bet hes better than most bboys these days ahhah

  • whoa he was half way bboying that was nutts

  • vid is better in 240p

  • Fantastic !!!

  • hermoso y alucinante.

  • does anybody know who the dude is who is doing the breakdancing?

  • YAWN. The clip is not long enough....(38 seconds!?)... How are we supposed to get the full flavor of the act?

  • MUSIC IS HOT

  • what film is this clip from? anybody know?

  • the human body only moves so many ways. Every dance has been done. B-Boys just rediscovered lost body movements when they started dancing to break beat records. Doesn't take away from their creativity or anything so these arguements are ridiculous

  • This comment is for kissipoo, Latinos may have not invented breakdancing but invented and have perfected the lowrider now everybody tricks out their rides but who cares acting like Latinos dont come up with dances there's plenty of dances out there were like la lambada or merengue or salsa.. I'd rather watch a woman do that cause they look 100 Times sexier than booty dancin..

  • @gtownrivera don't forget the macarena lol

  • redman sampled this for "da goodness" tight

  • tout a déja été fait dans les années 30,40 et 50,il suffit de revoir les vielles comédies musicales ou les films d' aventures pour s'en convaincre!!!

  • nooob its not even called breakdancing its called bboying... come on man stop with the confusion

  • Its not the 40's and its not Breakdancing. Its the 1930's ( quality of film tells me so, so does coustume designs) And it is a wonderful dance called the Lindy Hop, which came from the charleston and later became Swing dancing, and now breakdancing

  • whats the name of the song?

  • @PhillyKid07

    The song is Caravan.

  • What movie or show is this clip from?

  • swaggg

  • What's the source of this video? Where did you find it?

  • Now watch this video with some modern hip-hop music, lol.

  • Stunning

  • Like it says in the Bible, nothing new under the sun, different people, different clothes but nothing new.... wow...

  • @VercingetorixXIII it shuman we have the same creative power of our maker so no man is responsible respect the ones came before you doe ? ...

  • @Goldskool thats my point... nothing new under the sun so respect the ones before...

  • Name any dance stylez other racial groups came up with in this modern era. Black people have recently invited footworkin or jukin in Chicago, Krumpin in La, Jittin in Detroit, beatin yo feet dancin, etc the list goes on. If latinos or other racial groups invited break dance why haven't they invited nothing new. Because they didn't event nothing. You hate us so much

  • What's the name of this movie?

  • Comment removed

  • how called this movie or track???do you know somebody?

  • Humble thy self and forget the need to be right and know it all. You'll never win.

  • where is this from? I have a feeling it is some people putting on an act and making the vid look old.

  • @queensbridge97 Dude, have you seen any videos of Bill Bailey doing something similar to the moonwalk, Earl "Snakehips" Tucker's "Eccentric Dance", or that Daft Punk/Charleston video (which has a link to the original version on the side)? I'm pretty sure this is original. Plus the quartet of people making instrument sounds in the beginning are the Mills Brothers, a real group from that era.

  • breakdancing comes from the african martial arts capioera.

  • What Da Fuck............

  • WOW!

  • Oh no! a careless time traveller taught them that! the Time-line is affected! Run Marty!! :D

  • what movie is this from?

  • BLACK N LATIN ...THESE TWO HAVE SOUL

  • la ptin de sa mere

  • so sick

  • This just goes to show that there is nothing new under the sun. For all of human kind, there has been all forms of dance from all cultures. Embrace the God given creativity of humankind for all.

  • it is call an inspirations.

  • ez profi.

  • so what movie is it ?

  • Breakdancin' on the Plantation........Ya see masa''' YOU GOT SERVED......

  • @Psychkam LMAO!!!!! THAT'S FUNNY AS HELLLL !!!!! " MASSA GOT SERVED "

  • @Psychkam it's not at a plantations, slavery had already been abandon. This the 1940s, right after the great depression.

  • omg i thought breakdancing was like 4rm the mid 70's & as we all kno got famous in the 80's. But dane this is great. thnx 4 postin & teaching us something. great job.

  • its bill cosby at 0:07!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love the song.This is cool.

  • @millymille1 ...it's "Caravan" by Juan Tizol, a member of the Duke Ellington orchestra. Duke made this song famous.

  • people are always saying that things are "played out ". but the real is what's left out. we look at who we call the greats now and will never know how great we were and can still be. by the way the song in this video was bitten by the cartoon underdog. hmmmm I wonder how even they got the name. wake up. good video

  • Wow . . . I just wandered in here because I wanted to see a nostalgic video. No need to argue about this - it's just an old video clip of some dance moves, that's all. I sincerely doubt that the person who posted this intended to start a fight. Damn, there's a lot of anger on YouTube!

  • Now if you want to talk about Breakin'. Let's go to Brazil where Caepoeira was banned for 300 yrs. African slave used it entertain but it develope into a fighting art which was brought over here with Blacks from Angola which is named after other the styles. The other is called Regional or modern.

  • To really put an end to the arguments of the origins of street dancing in America, I see most don't know history. It started on the slaves ships where slaves had to excercise to stay in shape. Slave traders made them do limbering step so they won't cramp or stiffen up i.e. the limbo. It was the first official dance of the new world. The most entertaining dances started in New Orleans in the early 1700's from Haitian refugees now American slaves having a weekly party at Congo Square, NOLA.

  • stop with the black and white argument. It doesn't matter what color u are.

  • The original "bboys" from new york in the early 70s like the nigga twins and spy gave credit to people like the nicholas bros., sammy davis, james brown and so on. They just chopped it up and put it into one big gumbo so to speak. But isn't that hip hop anyway, a little bit of this a little bit of that. The first street dance group "The Lockers" also credited these sources as inspiration.

  • Fantastic!

I suspect there was LOTS of fantastic dancing going on in clubs that we'll never see because it didn't fit the mold AND was being done by 'minorities'. Yet another example of what the world misses when bigotry prevails.

  • This was LONG before Hip-Hop.

  • windmills.

  • this song irritates the fucking shit out of me. fucking shit song

  • I WONDER IF CRAZY LEGS SAW THIS? CUZ I THOUGHT HE CAME UP THAT MOVE FIRST! I GUESS NOT!!! DAM TOO BAD THERE ISNT A DOCUMENTARY ON BLACK DANCE OF 30'S,40'S,50'S AND 60'S! AND I MEAND IN DETAIL!!

  • @ozoid455 and crazy didnt create swipes lol bboy spy of the crazy commandoes did

  • @kiddvandal91 so what did crazy legs come up with other than the sphinks then, cuz that all he does since 78?

  • This is the 1940's? Looks much further back

  • Of course there are black people in latin america, But thats not what Im referring to . It was reply to person that said that south americans are a mix of african and indian blood.

  • Eh, people getting all into who made b-boying, you think this video proves it to only be from one source? moves came from everywhere, tribal, jazz, gymnastics, salsa, poe one made the airchair, kujo made the airflare, hundreds of people of all kinds made all sorts of movements we love today. Old martial arts and Ukrainian Cossack dancing is even involved (first dance to seem to 'battle'), more modernly it has contemporary flexibility and tricking / unorthodox flips. It didn't come from 1 source

  • @InfiniteStyleCrew "...Kujo made the airflare..." Is that true? Where did you get your information from?

  • @graffitypsycho

Word of mouth from other b-boys.

Kujo says it himself as well as far as I know. His version was quite different to the common version we see today though.

  • @InfiniteStyleCrew and yet none of those power moves you call breakdancing have anything to do with the breakdancing WE created back in the early 80s, the real breakdancing is danced standing up (for the most part) and it has nothing to do with power moves (search boogaloo shrimp videos)

  • @affiliate30 Are you judging me? "you call breakdancing"

I don't call it breakdancing, I call it b-boying, read my post.

"Power moves" ARE a part of it, coffee grinders, backspin, turtles, rocks even headspins existed before the 80's fool. YOU made b-boying did you? Tell me what you invented, show and prove. The "real breakdancing" is not owned by you to define, you cocky self righteous resentful man. The real b-boying is part of Hip-hop, an expression of dance for everyone.

    Discover, ISC

  • @affiliate30

its the same breakdancing that almost died 30 years ago, it's thanks to the new generation that breakdancing is flourishing like it is today. breakdancing 30 years ago was very boring to watch,

  • @wichywashy breakdancing back in the 80s was exactly that, breakdancing. Nowadays this what you call breakdancing is nothing but gymnastics being performed to music.

  • @affiliate30 part 2

you can't just limit yourself with airchairs, windmills six steps forvever.

you gotta invent new ways to dance, new moves, new styles.

since thats what breakdancing is all about, it took stuff from different cultures, dances, martial arts and gymnastics. Mixing it into a new dance.

So the natural course of bboying will always be to create new stuff and evolve.

Dont go hatng on bboys who uses power moves.

since the true essence of all dances is to be innovative and original.

  • @wichywashy watch?v=FK0uMwOxOhc <-----that is breakdancing, if "you" are power moving without being able to dance like that, "you" are a gymnast.

  • @affiliate30 popping hyuun ?, i think you gave me the wrong link.

  • @wichywashy No, I didn't give you the wrong link, that what he is doing there IS the breakdancing we created back in the 80s, anything else is probably rubbish

  • @affiliate30

if you mean poppin, then you didin't create shit... havent you seen watch?v=7U4ww-MmAY4&feature=related

also tutting comes from mesopotamian pose/dance.

what happend in the 80's nothing new.

and if that is breakdancing, why dont we see that kind of dancing on breakdance events anymore, i know ppl used to do that in breakdancing, but it seriously doesen't fit with it anymore. thus is the reason why its called poppin, and it stays there now.
