these guys came to my school in the early seventies , they set up a huge pa system in the main hall. about sixty of us had to come to the hall, and was played the album SIX STAR GENERAL,we had a sheet of paper each with the track listing.our job was to tick what we thouht was the best track from the lp,which was going to be the new single from the album.pete gage's mum was our english teacher so they set it up (sedgehill south london) heard no more after that, best lesson i ever had thanks ....
As the wolves scratched down my door, I trapped one by the jaw, And I asked him (quite politely) for his name. Where are all my friends? Now I'm rollin' up my dog-ends, Never met a dog that took to me! He said, "Son if you'll release me, I could rap a bit more freely." Like an imbecile, I let him in again. He said, "Boy, the situation Is a touch of constipation In your purse causin' a tumor on my brain."
I said, Man, I aint a doctor, But Im sure if youd adopt a New religion, it would Fix up your complaint. Where are all my friends? Now I'm rollin' up my dog-ends, Never met a dog that took to me! So he shoots me in the neck, And he tells me he'll be back, Loss of earnings is a felony I'll claim. But as soon as I heal up, And I finish with this bitter cup, And I manage to get to my feet again,
@umpire63 Just saw that you wrote down all lyrics of never met a dog below the vid. THANKS!!! Do you also have the lyrics of See the world thruogh my eyes?
Saw him twice in Toronto. Both times right on the money. He was/is one of my all-time favourites. Thru his version of Sailin Shoes/Sneaking Sally thru the Alley, I found Little Feat.
If anyone has a version of the above, i'll pay a king's ransom for the uploading of same.
I've got the album Rock and roll gypsies. We used to go to the greyhound pub in the fulham rd to see Vinegar Joe.Ab fab live..Elkie rocked.I think she was with pete gage at the time(guy with v long hair) BRILL.

Thanks so much for posting this, had forgotten this fine fine song which I'd liked so much by VJ, along with "See the World".

I have been looking for this song _forever_
(I am that old). It's called "Never met a dog" and if you (who ever posted it, thank you!) would have mentioned that I might have found it earlier ...

@mpurves98
Borrowed pennies for a leek, yeah,
And the dustman made me freakout,
Like a hippie with a jewel in his brain.
Baby, things were lookin' bleak,
I could hardly dare to speak,
As I clung on underneath the speeding train.
So I mumbled sour speech,
As I changed my name to Leech,
And my parasites kept driving me insane.

Tell you what I'll do...
I'll get on with my profession,
Teach wild dogs a lesson,
Cut those angry tumors off their angry brains.
Where are all my friends?
Now I'm rollin' up my dog-ends,
Never met a dog that took to me!

watch the interview with Elkie. I hope I'm going to be in that shape 10 years from now.
Fossils? Geez, grow up. I know people in their 80s who are very much alive.
