nope....4 strings...i believe u were viewing the clip @ around 1:30 into the vid , it does LOOK like there r more strings for a sec or two , but its only because of blurring due to his moving around..only four magnets on the pickup , FOUR strings

in fact , if u freeze it at 1:29 , u can see what u may be referring to as a 5th string , but its a reflection under the highest string..and before that, u can see sometimes it appears like 8 strings, due to the reflections of the body of the bass...lots of gloss on that bass

and if u look at the skinniest string , u will notice it is lower to the ground on the body , and wouldnt fit to the neck, would just go upwards and dissapear...freeze it at 1:29 , that 'skinny string' u r seeing wouldnt make it to the neck...bass strings blur easy in photos...and besides , the extra string on a bass is always a LOWER (fatter ) string
