@HPFF123 It talks about how people are robotic, doing everything they're expected to do, and trying to please people they don't actually care about. Basically, how people follow the crowds and care about things that don't matter. People are afraid to seem different.

Then it talks about Ryan Tedder(the singer) saying how he's "Dreaming out Loud" Which is basically him resisting the "robots" and being his own person with his own dreams. How he doesn't care about fame or impressing people.

In the bridge and chorus, it may mean that he could only chase his dream inside a real dream and he doesn't want anybody to wake him etc
