How are you supposed to see results when you're like 15 years old and don't have any skin problems? If you want us to believe in your review besides just listening to you talk (as much as you like to listen to yourself) then you should try taking off your makeup and letting your viewers see what your skin is really like. Btw, you're really annoying. The whole hair playing with and "Like my skin looked like glass!"?? Get over yourself.
You dont have to get a professional peel to get good results. I get my peels from MAUC (Makeup Artist's Choice) and they are pretty good. They have a lot of information on what peel would be right for you and shipping is really fast. Plus its way cheaper than getting a peel from sephora or getting a peel done and you have several applications in one bottle. Also latic peels dont require any down time you can even apply it a couple times a week.
@edoras85 Thanks for the info! I have looked muac peels up before...I may do that. I know that some people with sensitive skin can actually have burns from peels that were too strong though...and I'm afraid I'll be one of them :) My sephora girls told me to build my tolerance up slowly since I'm so sensitive. What stregnth do you use?
@bananas507 I use the 40% lactic acid peel which is the lowest lactic peel they have. I dont have sensitive skin but this one is supposed to be really good for those with sensitive skin types . Since you have sensitive skin leave in on for 3 min max. I have a darker skin tone and I can tell a big difference in the way my skin looks and feels. I have some acne scars and I've seen an improvement in the way they look after a few applications.
I just bought it last night. I actually liked the results after the first use. I definitely see smoother and brighter skin, not dramatic, but a subtle difference is noticeable. I did a mild exfoliating scrub beforehand as well as steamed my face, so perhaps that helped? I dunno. But I too like how it's not overly strong and nice for sensitive skin. I look forward to your final review :)
@CosmoHunter24 You are right! I didn't use steam the first time but the 2nd & 3rd time I did it after I took a shower and it does help. I also used a glycolic toner and an exfoliating facial sponge before and then the facial sponge to take it off as well and that really increases results as well. If you figure out any other tips I'd love to know! Thanks!
@CosmoHunter24 I do like it :) Have you ever gotten a professional peel? I am really curious to know how it compares to that. I plan on getting one but after summer.
Nope, I've never had a professional peel.. However, I'm thinking about getting one, soon, too. Both chemical and laser peels can be very dramatic and take several days to heal. So, I'm not sure which ones I'd like to try..
I'm also experimenting with an at home microdermabrasion kit, in between doing this Brazilian peel, but I'm a bit disappointed with the results of it, which makes me want the professional peel even more. I've seen great results with those after just one appt.
@CosmoHunter24 Yeah some of them need down time but I know glycollic and lactic peels don't need much. I was thinking about ordering that one microderm gadget from sephora but I don't know if I want to go that route. Which one are you using? All the things I've seen and reseached and read say that glycolic, lactic and I think tca are the most effective with the least amount of down time.
I'm actually using the Neutrogena MicroDermabrasion kit that came out years ago. I can't even remember when I bought it. Probably around '04 - '06. lol.
And you're right, it does seem like the those peels have a little to no down time. I'm starting to question the effectiveness altogether, as I've seen some YT video on here with the before and afters and they don't seem that dramatic for some. It seems to really depend. I'm not sure which one to get..
