Now, I've never played a Battlefield game before, and while I was mostly a PC gamer immersed in the Quake and Unreal Tournament, the action and story enticed me to buy MW2 and Black Ops. @Karekristensson Yeah, DICE confirmed it, they've reduced the player count to 24, reduced the frame rate per second to 30, removed vehicles and reduced the size of all the maps. All to apparently keep the destruction capabilities as advanced as they are.

@spartan1081990 That's not true, PS3 supports all those features, only to a lesser degree because the GPU is older. When games are properly made for PS3 they fuse the power of the processor's cells (all 7 of 'em) with the GPU, and the potential has only just been reached with games like for example, Last Guardian or Amy (check them out some time over at game trailers). It's just most developers find the PS3 difficult to code for as they don't bother collaborating with Sony on that front.

@playram1 Wells it's technically 2, but that's only because Xbox discs have less storage space than Blu-ray since they're DVD. I think it's good that DICE is allowing a significant portion of the game to be installed on the HD for better performance purposes. Pretty much all the console exclusives allow such an option so as to optimize for that platform; as opposed to amateurs directly porting games from PC thinking they'll cut costs and not compensate for difference in hardware *cough* Bethesda

@darthclash122 That all depends on which you enjoy playing shooters with more. Personally, I prefer the controller with Dual-shock and PSN for speedy, accessible multiplayer (PC is more involved); though you can technically use a controller on PC. PC has better eye candy and more players (up to 64), however in my experience with games like Arma II the numbers don't improve game play.

Just go with what makes you happiest. This is sure to be an immersive, phenomenal shooter on any HD platform.
