  • dat is not tilikum because they couldn't swim with him

  • That's not tilikum

  • That's not him. He is a lot bigger!

  • THIS IS NOT TILIKUM !!!!

  • that was NOT Tilly! sorry

  • Tilikum was once a wild and free Orca, so he is always going to see that place as a prison. Why must they keep him away from his home when it's obvious he is not happy?

  • beautiful animal ! ...but i prefer free......

  • I agree with greg

  • This Orca should have no name and should be free. I just wonder if Dawn ever felt bad for Tilikum and her part as a prison guard.

  • That is not Tillikum, and that is not Dawn.

  • This is not Dawn . Nor is it Tilikum ! Just because it's a trainer with an orca does NOT mean it's automatically Dawn with Tilikum . You noobs really need to get your facts straight and get a brain . .

  • @Pressthe8 - Hi. Not true, Tilli has also done Something Far Greater in Believe!

  • Comment removed

  • se n'est pas tilikum NOT TILIKUM PFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!

  • @capngallifrey thats not tilly but dawn did work with him bc she was a veteran trainer!

  • thats the shamu believe show song. that could be shamu. i wish i saw the dorsal fin it might be shamu.

  • @angelrose582 Shamu has been dead for a couple of years. The comment below says it's Kayla, so perhaps it is. ^^

  • @B4Malfoy shamu gone/ i hte seaworld's guts.

  • @B4Malfoy OK orginal shamu died in 1975 grandbaby shamu (kalina)died in 2010 Greatgrandbaby shamu died in 2007 (haylen) so learn some stuff before u start talkin

  • @killerwhalemepstudio What are you talking about? I was talking about Shamu. The original Shamu. I know that Kalina died in 2010, you don't have to give me such a snappy response.

  • This is not Dawn, and that's Kayla. Kayla's beautiful, don't get me wrong, but she can't even compare to the massive that is Tili.

  • @HiddenHeartsCry It's Katina . .

  • that is not Tilly, he is 25 feet long at least and massive. No one was allowed to be in the water like that since he arrived in teh 90's. It is probably Katina

  • that is not Tilly, he is 25 feet long at least and massive. No one was allowed to be in the water like that since he arrived in teh 90's.

  • yeah it is! i just watched this same video but at a different camera angle.

  • not me!!!!!! i know myself! and i dont do water works with other trainers!!!!!!

  • @tilikumtheorca "You" don't do any waterworks at all. I think it's Katina.

  • @B4Malfoy i know "I" dont do water works with anyone i met any trainer and yes it is katina

  • @B4Malfoy and @tilikumtheorca dont fight. we dont exactly

  • I think it's Katina. Deff not Kalina (RIP), she had freckles on her chin. Could be Kayla but there's not enough video to really tell for me.

  • Either way it is cute when they are dancing together

  • No this isnt tilly sorry, his fin is curved under and he is much larger than this whale. it doesnt take a scientist to look at the video and see this is a much smaller whale with their fin half down, sorry..

  • Sorry but this is not Dawn maybe Jenny or Liz. Dawn has long hair. The whale is not Tilikum because the orca she is with is smaller and a girl the killer whale she is most likely with is Kayla or even Katina!

  • some of you are saying tilikum is WAY bigger. hes not! this is him, dont make him out to be some goliath. yes hes the biggest whale at seaworld but thats nots saying much hes only the biggest out of 19 there are 55,000 worldwide. the average male is between 20-30 feet long hes only 22 feet long! hes not that big..(compared to most males) most of sea worlds whales are females which is why hes the biggest the other few males are his offspring. they choose females bcuz there more mobile and small

  • @sikesy7 This isnt him. Why do you talk about things you don't know anything about? If you can't recognize him, I don't understand why you are talking about this as you know everything about it.

  • oh and some more facts for you morons this is Dawn because she was the only female trainer allowed to swim with Tilikum. also dawn wasnt in the water when she died she was pulled in by her pony tail in the side tank probably cuz he wanted to play. also there are estimated 55,000 killer whales world wide only 19 are held captive amongst sea world in the 3 parks. san diego 6 whales texas 7 whales orlando 6 whales including Tilikum. yes Tilly is the biggest captive whale

  • wow its so funny how so many people speak out of their ass and dont know what the fuck their talking about. 1st off this is 100% Tilikum and Dawn performing together. 2nd yes its random previous footage not taken the day she died. 3rd dawn was a 16 year veteran and was one of the few who was allowed to swim and work with tilikum. 4th THIS IS TILIKUM hes 22 feet long and its noticble with his dorcile fin tilted to the side. 5th THIS IS DAWN. so people shut the fuck up and stop assuming...

  • @floridaoj1 I would say it to your face because Tilikum is my second favorite killer whale next to Katina!

  • @floridaoj1 this whole video is about what happened with Tilikum and Dawn (or it's supposed to be.) and to the maker of this video, Why would you do something so horrible. Claim that someone is dead is in your video and then say the killer is in it too! That would be ok if it weren't a lie!! This isn't the trainer who died, because her hair was a lot longer, and there is no way here hair could grow so long in one day.

  • UUhh. Tillikum iS WAYY Larger.

  • actually dawn did swim with tilikum she was one of the few they let since she was a veteran!

  • That Aiint tilikum Fuckinq Smart One`

  • NO ONE is allowed in water with Tili. This definitely isn't him! Someone needs to remove this video or rename it.

  • Dawn Brancheau is the veteran trainer that worked with Tilikum. But that is not Tilikum he is much larger then that and not even she would swim with him they just used him to splash the audience. she was on the side of the tank when Tilikum grabbed her. and he killed two people before that is why they do not swim with him.

  • Dawn Brancheau is the veteran trainer that worked with Tilikum. But that is not Tilikum he is much larger then that and not even she would swim with him they just used him to splash the audience. she was on the side of the tank when Tilikum grabbed her.

  • that's katina

  • @Akashima Yeah, just the largest

  • This is not Tillikum..

  • That's not tilikum, sorry to inform you.

  • i think that might be either Taima or Kayla but not Tili. Not Katina either the eyepatches weren't jagged enough and not Kalina because there's no freckles. Too small to be Tilikum and they didn't get in the water with him, HOWEVER, great video. Love the bonding that they have c:

  • This is definitely not Tilikum. Only veteran trainers can work with him, and no-one is allowed near or in the water with him. And I'm not even sure if this is Dawn.

  • @capngallifrey hi! yes, that was dawn. there is another full length video out of that particular show. however, you are correct. that is NOT Tilikum. dawn was the senior trainer and did work with tili. but no one was allowed in the water with him because of his past.

  • @capngallifrey it is tilikum actually look in the water where his dorsal fin is. its hard to see because of the water but its bent over. And Ive seen Dawn before its her alrit. and she is a veteran trainer. smart one

  • @Silvawolf100 It's Katina you idiot . .

  • @anythingforkalina My mistake no need to be an immature child by calling me an idiot

  • @capngallifrey Agreed. Tilikum is HUGE. They use him to splash people in the splash zone and he's used for that only.

  • Thats waaay to small to be tili

  • @takenbytaku

I understand. I actually have quite little knowledge on the treatment of individuals I have not met and my arguments are mainly aimed at general policy.

  • @takenbytaku

As for the females, they face a similar situation. They are approached in a way that a cetacean would find sexually inviting and then left again, though through the forceful penetration of both cervix pregnancy happens too. And even disregarding a cetacean sociology standpoint the act of forcing pregnancy onto her is again fueling a slave based industry.

Salve again I reserve for sapient species only, which is another thing that I would suggest you do your own research on.

  • @takenbytaku

My point is hard to make without presenting a large amount of evidence and reference.

    The jist though,

Males are often driven to a pre-climactic state and the precum is collected as "semen" and the fact that the precum can cause pregnancy hasn't helped to fix this issue.

  • @takenbytaku

I would recommend you read up on dolphin mating behavior, natural social structures and watch a video called "Orca Semen Collection"

You should spot the obvious flaw in the video. The main flaw is that the reported amount of semen from an orca is around 10 to 50 ml. I'm sure I don't need to explain that this amount is invalid, the video shows why.

Social structure would also explain the female AI situation.

  • @takenbytaku

    Read a book maybe?

Should I even explain this, you are old enough to know the mechanics of reproduction and I wouldn't be offending your parents to explain how forced breeding occurs?

Well I'll tell you it involves pre-ejaculate fluid (caused by another issue), starvation tactics and a syringe.

  • This is not Tillicum looks like Katina or Kalina like Kotofossa said nobody is allowed to do water work with him he is just used for the beginning of the show and sometimes at the end of it aswell.RIP Dawn..

  • This is not Tillikum. Even before the incident, trainers would not do waterwork with him.

  • Thats most deffinatly Katina.

  • That's not Tilikum

  • that is not tillikum

  • @QMAN12341 it is tilikum actually look in the water where his dorsal fin is. its hard to see because of the water but its bent over

  • rip Dawn !! much ♥♥ love :(

  • does anyone have the video of the killing, i want to see it but i dont , i feel so sorry for dawn my heart completly goes out to her family (L) i have always wanted to swim with killer whales just really scared now xxxxxx

  • @turkishgirlyx you can not find the video anywhere it was and will NOT be released but you can find a video seconds before it.

  • That's not Tilikum. And the oldest orca in captivity is Corky II.

  • That's not Tilikum. The trainers don't do do water work with him.

  • This is not Tilikum...

  • Poor Tilikum... he's a wild animal held captive in a tiny fish tank, forced to do silly little tricks for money.

Sea World makes millions off animal cruelty and stupid people pay to see these horrible shows.

  • @september2233 Actually SeaWorld is doing an awesome work with all the animals in the parks, taking care of them and giving money for look after the ones in the wild.

An attack doesn't mean they hate their trainers or they are not happy, is a natural show of their strength, because Tilly got really sad after Dawn's dead.

  • @kundalinicandy

    Word

  • aww look how cute tilly is and i will allways miss dawn

btw can i borrow this footage i promiss i'll credit you

  • I met Dawn and Tilly before I met my grandparents. She was like family, and I will always love Tilly no matter what he does, and I'm sure Dawn would too.

  • That's Katina, you can tell apart the orca's by their dorsal fins and the shapes of their eye patches

  • a good way you can tell who this is is by the dorsal fin and the size of the animal. Most likely this is Katina, because she is a large female and her fin is actually flopped. I talk to alot of people who think that the animal is a male just because of the flopped fin.

  • @ponygirlvvv thats because they instantly think kieko.

  • @hawkstorm55 yeah your right it is, thats what they say, course they know him as free willy instead of keiko haha but yeah that is where they get it

  • @ponygirlvvv that was a mistake all that money spent to prove what we already knew

  • @hawkstorm55 what do you mean we already know?

  • @ponygirlvvv those of us with brains knew that you cant successfully return a creature to the wild, keiko died due to starvation and desease...alot of money wasted...should have left him in the salt water tank thing where they put live fish in....not return him to the wild that was so stupid.....i couldnt believe that people actually thought it was a good idea

  • @hawkstorm55 i think the intentions were good but an animal that has been in captivity for so long doesn't know how to do anything in terms of survival

  • @ponygirlvvv @ponygirlvvv exactly so why waste the millions and millions of dollars when you KNOW your going to fail?

  • @hawkstorm55 yeah no to try to do that with Tili now wouldn't work

  • @ponygirlvvv they knew it wouldnt work with keiko but because of all the preasure they were getting from animal rights morons they went ahead and did it....

  • there was a rule that said no one swims with tilikum apparently but she got in the water.... so i have heard

  • This isn't Dawn, nor is it Tilikum. Trainers didn't perform it the water with Tili.

  • This cant be tillikum.. I thought NO ONE was to go in the water with him because of his size and history? So this cant be tillikum..

  • this is not Tilly. Tilly is a bull orca..much larger than this one. And besides no one can get in the tank with him. You need to learn how to properly name your videos.

  • This Is not Tilikum NO ONE is allowed to get into the tank with "Tilly" because of his size and history reaching back to 92. To do so would have been a violation of protocol as well as extreamly dangerous.

  • It cant be Tillikum or Taku.

No one is allowed int the water with tilly so it cant be him and Taku isnt at Seaworld Orlando any more!

  • R.I.P Dawn Brancheauu

  • I agree with you this is a very sad event.i feel so bad like its a sadstory i hope her family are okay an all my prayers will be sent to them.she did love her job in im pretty sure she neverr thought that would happen to her cause they were so close i wonder what the whale was thinking?Maybe he didnt realize he was killing her he was playing to rough?never know what the whale was thinking??

  • @docdeeinc09 He was trying to play. Dawn would forgive him. I just wish she was here to tell everyone that.

  • Um... It's Taku, Tilikum's son. And Tilikum isn't the oldest whale in captivity.

  • @Kaffii3 It's Katina, not Taku.

  • @orcas456 Maybe, I watched only the moment when trainer gets in the water with orca. Some people said it's Tilikum so I thought it's Taku.

  • This woman was incredible and amazingly gifted to be so brave and work with whales. I call this my back up plan, see but if I ever did something with mammals it would be dolphins, not these big guys!♥ I don't believe this is Tillikum, I have heard repeatedly that the trainers were not allowed to be in the water with him since 1991. I wonder if he realizes what he did.

  • all orcas in captivity eventually have dorsal fins that flop its from being in captivity no one was ever in the water with tilikum it wasnt alowed he was known to be agressive you must have seen a different whale in the water with dawn

  • Tilikum WAS at seaworld when we went they did the show with him. when we went to the viewing dawn was there and she took pictures us and the whale she looked so happy...i will have the pictures up soon.

  • I think theyre all fucking crazy to even get in the water with Shamu, Tilly, freaking Tilikum 1-2-3-4.

  • RIP Dawn!

    They were so nice together...

I'm happy because of Tilikum stay in the Sea World.

    Love U

  • Hey they are going to put him back to preform you know so back off and leave him alone tillikum is best

  • Comment removed

  • This is not Tillikum. Trainers don't do waterworks with Tilly

  • @Sealovez Yeah, that's what I was thinking.

  • Just to people watching this video in the future, this Orca isn't Tilikum, trainers past and present have never gotten in the water with Tilikum since he came to Sea World :)

  • Having read the other comments I just wanna say that I don't think it's that mean to the whales.. But deff dangerous

  • I can't believe there's even people who do this for a living! It's asking for trouble.. Getting in a pool with a 'Killer' whale?? It's so sad, and unbelievable, and scary!

  • First of all, Tilikum's not the oldest killer whale in captivity. That would be Lolita the Miami Seaquarium. And second, that's not even Tilikum in this video. That's Katina.

  • thats nottt tilly

  • I feel sorry for Dawn and her family, but at least she never had to live her life in a tiny cell eating unnatural food, having no mutual social contact and being forced to reproduce to satisfy the bastard tourist trade.

  • @leeham991 wow where to even begin...seaworld does mostly do tourism, but without them we wouldnt have the knowledge of sealife that we now have. so dont berate them...they arent all that bad

  • @hawkstorm55

Don't even start with that pitiful, overused half-excuse.

It's invalid anyway. Do we get a realistic view of humanity by watching prison inmates? I think not

  • @leeham991 and without the chance to study prison inmates we wouldnt have the ability to diagnose them with mental disorders and such...where do you think that information comes from? the sky?

and how many creatures has sea world rehabilitated and set free? far more than anyone thinks. when a whale breaches itself sea world is called to help it go back out to sea, without that knowledge we would have a lot more whale carcasses.

  • @hawkstorm55

Wow you really pulled that out of your arse. Either you work at seaworld or you are ignorant. I take pick of one or the other.

  • @leeham991 nope dont work there and im not ignorant, just smarter than the average joe... do you really hate people trying to help animals that much?

  • @hawkstorm55

Doesn't a guy on ROOTS say that same line?

  • @leeham991 what ROOTS?

  • @leeham991 You're an idiot. stop reading wikipedia.

  • @Monsterdavid22x

    You're an idiot, stop spamming.

  • @leeham991 Spam: "A series of constant messages, mostly subsequent."

I said one thing. Now if you really want Orcas to be forced into the wild and most likely dead in no more than 4 months, Do something, and get off your fat ass.

  • @Monsterdavid22x

Orcas evolved in the ocean you remtard. If you don't take them out and don't kill them they will be perfectly happy.

Where do you get your logic? Where do you think you know me? Where is your brain?

  • @leeham991 Logic; when a killer whale that relies on a human to feed, play, and stimulate it, putting it in the wild where it must take care of itself would be alarming, and they would have a hard time finding food, and would seek human help.

I never said I thought I knew you. My brain is in my head.

  • @Monsterdavid22x

Obviously your human logic is flawed. I know, obviously, that to put a currently captive orca into the wild is not the best idea (though it has worked before, at least until idiots try to recapture the orca and get him/her killed : One of the orca from Free Willy, for example) but I have a seriously problem with the continuation of captivity. The forced breeding for one is highly immoral.

  • @leeham991 I worked for a few months, then he relied on human care in Norway.

What's the big deal? You have still not given a very good reason as to why captivity should be abolished. You stated a few reasons in you're first post, which really, is no more than a rant.

  • @Monsterdavid22x

Well even if you disregard sapience there are many reasons. The small living area. The chemicals in the water which cause eye problems and possibly kill the sense of taste. The lack of mutual social contact which is most likely the reason for the severe psychiatric problems faced by all species of Cetacean in captivity. The loud music and crowd noise of shows which are often the only way to get a decent amount of food.

Should I go on? PM may be more appropriate.

  • @leeham991 Ozone (the chemical used) has been tested and proven to not cause any sorts of health problems to killer whales. You're right. If they keep Killer whales, they will need a lot of them, for playtime and bonding with their own kind as well as humans. Bigger tanks would be more than welcome. They give them tons of food each day, those fish are a congratulations for a job well done.

  • @Monsterdavid22x

My sources say different on the chemicals, and to be honest no tank would ever be big enough.

Ever heard of Terry? If not then I wouldn't think you are actually representing anything here.

  • @leeham991 Well then I would check a new source, this one is lying to you.

Explain his "Terry incident." I know alot of whale attacks on people named terry and whales named Terry.

  • @Monsterdavid22x

Terry is a cetacean rights activist. He's put legal action against dolphinariums from America to Switzerland to Israel, changing how the cetaceans are treated, advancing information on rehab for dolphins and cutting artificial impregnation from the list of acceptable things to do with cetaceans.

  • @leeham991 Really? Then I actually appreciate him doing that, It was hell in the past. Artificial impregnation doesn't appear to be a giant issue, but If he doesn't like it, his call.

  • @Monsterdavid22x

Forcing cetaceans to breed is fueling the industry of exploiting sapience which in itself is wrong.

  • @leeham991 I see what you mean, but we have sperm banks, and nobody seems to care...

  • @Monsterdavid22x

I don't think we have guys tied up in the cinema forced to run the machines for no pay.

  • @leeham991 ... Did you just compare reproduction techniques to ticket sellers at cinemas?

  • @Monsterdavid22x

    No.

I thought you were referencing to human sperm banks. I just stated humans aren't used as slaves in the entertainment industry. At least not in the civilized world.

  • @leeham991 I see what you're getting at. And yes, there are slaves used as entertainers in the uncivilized part of the earth. did you mean to call captive killer whales slaves?

  • @Monsterdavid22x

    I did.

And I hold the sapience argument as an element of "slavery". I'm not one of these people who believes all species to be equal to man.

  • i hope that the world could understand how tillikum felt while doing this. i'm sorry about dawn, but also about till.

  • This was a horrible event. My heart goes out to Dawn's family. We have seen "believe" 5 times & have done dined with Shamu. The whales seem to enjoy the interaction as much as the trainers! Dawn obviously loved her job. She beamed with love for these majestic creatures. Sea World often saves animals. They care for them and give them a home. There is value in observation, research & educational. Dawn was more at risk driving her car than caring for the majestic whales that she adored.

  • Can't they make the Whales Domain Bigger & more Nateral? How about Lochs? I fully understand the importance of research but Surely it could be done in a Bigger enviroment.

  • @puppyeyes36 You are completely correct. The media has made this seem far worse than it actually is.

  • This is not Tilikum. They did not allow trainers to do water work with him in the pool. But great video!

  • they did get in the water wiv them though i have seen!

  • You are mistaken. You may have seen a whale that looked like him somewhat a few years ago name Taku. He was Tilikum's son. Trainers did waterwork with Taku, but never Tilikum.

  • @passion4orcas

i dont mean to b rude or like i no everything but i honestly did she them do stuff wiv tilikum i remember cuz his flippers were huge and his dorsal fin flopped all the way ova, i mite be rong but i am completely sure that it was tilikum

  • This is not Tilikum, they never get in the with him, Taku looks like Tlilkum but smaller. Males (Bulls) are pretty big.

  • What I mean by waterwork is that the trainers actually get in the water with the whales... they didn't get in the water with Tilikum because he was not trained to do anything with his trainers in the water. Yes, Tilikum does perform, but only by splashing the audience or by doing different jumps.

  • this is not Tilikum, not only because they dont do waterwork with him but that whale is WAY to small

  • Aw i wanna see the bit where the whale gets it revenge for being kept in a fish tank and made to perform.

  • No one ever went in the water with Tillicum.

  • they did!

  • That is just sick.

  • Holo is absolutely right. This video is Dawn with another Orca at Sea World. NO ONE was and is allowed in the water with Tilikum.

  • Circus acts like these should be BANNED!!! or maybe the Trainers should be kept in giant tanks & be made to perform tricks for Food!! " I'd buy that for a Dollar!!" lol

  • I'm sure you would. And how many other times have you went to the zoo and seen animals perform or had a "pet" to keep to cuddle with?

  • I never go to Zoo's!! EVER!! yes i was taken as a child, its what got me into wildlife & conservation but I've never seen performing animals at a zoo!! I do have a pet, a cat, i rescued him! he's a domestic animal and cats have been a 'pet' since BC times in Egypt etc it's completly different!! Cats are also independant! they themselves choose to stay with their human 'owners' or not! I don't see a 'cat flap' into the sea from Tilikums Tank!!! He was a prisoner!!

  • i no the tank is small but how is tilikum a prisoner?!

  • He's a prisoner because he ain't free! He is surrounded by a wall, he gets fed and exercised ( just like real convicts) but he can't leave and go for a swim in the ocean! I personally think criminals are treated better and with more respect!! The fact is Big Tilikum does not have the choice to come & go as He please's! If that's not a prisoner What is Alice?

  • just stfu he isnt a prisioner! seaworld trainers neva make the whales do anything they dont wanna do. like i said the tank is small but they cant release him bak into the wild cuz they wont no how to survive!! so just flaming stfu!

  • Rofl There's a scouser saying " Calm Down Calm Down! " i agree about them not surviving if released in their present state but My Point is, The people (whoever they are) should NOT of taken(REMOVED) him in the 1st place!!! or ANY other ANIMAL OUT of it's natural Enviroment for COMMERCIAL purposes!!! The big natural parks in Africa & the likes are Great! It's as near to 'Natural' as we'll get and safer, but ZOO's & PARKS are Circus's/Prisons. No they ain't beaten but where are their Choices?

  • they only took tiilikum the rest were born at seaworld! btw i love animals im e vegetarian, i have a dog 2 guinea pigs and 3 hamsters, if that zoo left the cage door open then its their fault nnot the tigers, U TWIT! U CAN STFU NO ME!
