You can get scanners that are walkie-talkie size, the audio monitor could be split to earphone and the input of a dictation tape recorder. A budget of $400 and equipment which would be smaller and lighter than two beer cans would do it admirably. Assuming you can walk into the auditorium with a jacket on and a hearing aid you'd be fine. Popoff's own receiver would be smaller and simpler.

I feel very sorry for Popoff, as he bears the blunt of people's rage. His fault is that he has not yet refined and perfected his art good enough. There are quite a few of his peers who practice the same art with greater sophistication and thus are making themselves very prosperous without Popoff's troubles. They all have one thing in common. God must go through them to perform his miracles. My advice, follow the money trail, judge them by their lifestyle, by how much they pay themselves.
