the only reason why wen chou and yan liang died was because guan yu had red hare. the two generals were not aware of how fast red hare was. guan yu never dueled the two, he simply rode into their camp and cut of their heads. which is an incredible feat in itself

DW is based on the poems of the Threee kingdoms and the poems are exhagurated versions of history as such some facts are muddled. in real history the chance of 2 officers like zhang Liao and Yan liang meeting in battle are 200,000 to one and as yan Liang was a Front Line centre officer and zhang East support tis unlikely where as Guan Yu did historically lash out through the center killing many officers
