  • can enybody out there with an oberheim recreate the tones on Ronnie Laws' "Friends and strangers"? (you can hear this on youtube)

  • @grabngonuts Sorry, I no longer have this synth :(

  • I dunno if it's my imagination, but the original sounds way better than the reissue, wider & more organic. The reissues sound brittle.

  • @cthulufunk I have no experience with the new ones so I'm afraid I can't tell. I guess though, if it's half an original SEM it's still very good :)

  • Are you a 7 th level Dan rated Go master?

  • @music2me23 No I've never played Go.

  • this is the old one right ?

  • @TR0jAX Yes it is.

  • @ 4 .32 its instant ..heckman bassline sounds;-]

  • That's got some smooth bass.

  • Great Video! ! I was curious as to what you were using to arpeggiate the SEM? thanks!

  • @zdogtru3 Thanks! It's the Microkorg for arpeggio and the MonoMachine for the sequence in the end.

  • I've always loved the sound of those...never have gotten my grubby little mitts on one, though. The new 4 Voice looks totally juicy! Thanks, love the demo.

  • @emdotambient Thank you for watching! Yeah the SEM does have a super sound, I bet the new 4 Voice will be killer!

  • Cool demo! Really liked the string sound flavours at 1:25

  • @stensgata44 Thanks! Yeah, the SEM is really good for those kinds of sounds. The multi mode filter is something special for sure.
