also... i didn't know you could edit things in imvu.. i might actually try and use it now, just so i can make a cat girl... o.o cat girls rule! :D i'll just have to re-edit it in max and then unwrap it and add the tail in and cat ears :D

i think... it's nice of them to actually make a damned tutorial, this is stuff i actually learned when i was in animation classes, but we used bump maps, as well as opacity maps... if you wanna make a zombie character like that try using a bump map texture and making it off grey (since black sinks in and white pulls forward) it will look like some weird acid scar, it's pretty fun when you tweak the maps.
