you can see EVERY chord he's playing. You shouldn't need tabs to learn this song. If you don't know an F from a G chord, you have more problems than needing the tab for this song. It took me 5 minutes to play right along to this video. I don't read tablature, but I don't care. I wish more guitar players would rely on their ears, and not lean no Tabs. It will make you a stronger player in the long run.

While I think you are not totally right, I'm inclined to agree with that it's better to figure out songs and chords by ear, but if you haven't played for too long, it's better to go with tabs. IMO.

I partly used tabs, which I for that matter don't know where I got from (just google "elliott smith miss misery chords/tabs", that's what I did!), but I also used my ear, because the tabs are never quite excellent.
