  • fuel's sound engineer are sucks!

  • you can see tom is in pain when he's singing |: he's trying really hard to hit the right notes.

  • Normally you can tell when its autotuned, pitch corrected etc. it sounds robotic

  • i havn't seen blink b4 but i really want to, but honestly i couldn't giv a shit if they sounded terrible because i'd still be seein my favourite band live.

  • jake u r stupid dumb ass autotune? really r u retarded?

  • autotune? blink doesn't use auto tune or pitch correction.

autotune is that thing that gay rappers like kanye use. you obviously don't know what autotune is.

but blink doesn't use pitch correction or autotune and you are a retard if you think so.

  • no, autotune is a brand of pitch correction. I use it in my studio. They also make that crap that the rappers use you are right, buts its a brand. They also make voice filters. Doesn't change the pitch of your voice, just the voice itself if that makes any sense. If you listen to it, his voice just sounds fake on alot of the songs. Especially the older ones- enema and before.

  • ok thats in studio and big name labels will autotune/pitch correct regardless of what the band says or wants. because the record label wants it to sound good and make their label look good.

on tour, no there is none of that. not in any performances except some TV appearances where the TV network decides to edit it to make it sound better.

but blink is not autotuning on tour. i've been to one of their concerts and trust me, it was not.

  • so have i. And its sure sounded filtered. Maybe it wasn't. And i know all about the recording aspect of it too. My older brother is an audio engineer. And on tour, yes, there is at least some form of filtering on almost every tour. That would be why they never sing on each others mics. They are very careful about that. And Its not just limited to prerecording, it can be done live. Especially filtering since it prepared before hand. It is just expensive.

  • i never said it couldn't be done live.

there may be some filtering, but most of it is really live.

  • yeah, like I said, mainly on the older songs. The newer ones from (topaj and self titled, and some of enema) sounded fine and unfiltered for the most part.

  • BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH, dude seriously i'm not trying to down tom, but his notes still were not staying steady for the whole tour, clearly he didn't use autotune because tom's just going to do what he does best and thats put on a show, he definately didn't use autotune shit head

  • i said FILTERING! As i said before, autotune is a brand. Filtering is not pitch correction (which is what you think i'm talking about), its changing the sound of the voice itself. Obviously they aren't using pitch correction, cause haha, you're right, he is so off key on every song. But I think your last sentence sums up why he would use the filtering- he wants it to sound good. And people were so upset with is leno appearance, i can see why he felt the need to do it. I think he's fine without.

  • @buckeyeboyh5 i dont think he's using anything like that. it's pretty easy to stretch your voice in different ways. on the leno performance he was actually trying to sing and singing with his whole voice (if that makes sense)

  • @FullTiIt It makes total sense. What i'm saying though is that his voice was physically altered due to the drugs he was given for his back. You can really hear the change between BCR, the last blink album, and AvA. His voice sounds totally different and he admits it. But if you went to one of the shows "you can't really tell from the recordings" and specifically listened to some of the older songs, it sounds like they filtered his voice to make it sound more like it did before the drugs.

  • @buckeyeboyh5 oh yeah i totally agree about the drugs part. i did go to the show actually (it was fucking AWESOME :D) but he sounded kinda like the self titled album, but a little deeper and less gritty, like his voice was smoother....i guess (my best description) like i think the difference is with AVA he uses like an actual "singing voice" and with blink he sings with his normal "talking voice"

....if you get what i mean...

  • @buckeyeboyh5 theres no way they autotuned the tour...i was there and he was SOOOO off key the whole time

  • @FullTiIt By autotune, I mean filtering. Sorry for the confusion. Autotune is a brand, of voice altering software, so that can really mean everything from t-pain to just mild filtering. And yeah i do know what you're saying about his voice. But still with the older songs, his voice still sounds really filtered. Like they are trying to put that whine back into his voice. It could even be just the way its EQ'd too. But they did something. You might not hear it, but i'm kind of trained to hear it.

  • @buckeyeboyh5 the thing with the older songs is when they recorded those he was like 18-24, now he's 35, so his voice is deeper and smoother, but he still has the whine, i could hear it just from the way he was talking at the tour (both his and marks mikes)

  • @FullTiIt the whine in his voice is gone. you can hear that from him talking. He still slurs his words like he always did, but its not as whiny as it used to be. They did something to it even if it was something as simple as pulling out all the bass and upping his highs and high mids and added a tiny bit of reverb. Not on every song (every song on the untitled album seems normal), just on their older songs (enema and before). You may not notice it, but i sure do. But again, i'm trained to.

  • @buckeyeboyh5 he sounded the same on all the songs (from reckless abandon to carousel to feeling this) he still had a little bit of whine (not nearly as much as back in enema, even less than toypaj and self-titled) but his voice was definitely lower and wasnt as gravely as it used to be

  • @FullTiIt This is a pointless argument thats going nowhere. To me, it sounded like his voice was filtered on a lot of his older songs. To you, it sounded the same. Nobody can possibly win this argument, so i vote we just stop now.

  • @buckeyeboyh5 fair enough.

  • @buckeyeboyh5 although, thank you for conducting yourself with decorum and integrity, which 99% of the people on here do not. so for that i thank you.

  • @FullTiIt Haha thank you, my friend, for doing the same. Debates are pointless are pointless when all you do is say "you're wrong, i'm right!" or just continually take jabs at one another that are irrelevant to the subject (especially internet arguments). Respect is deserved even if i will never meet you in my life.

  • @buckeyeboyh5 haha, yeah the worst are when people make a mistake or say something ignorant and go off when people correct them. but anyways, perhaps we shall meet at a blink show sometime ;) and with that i bid you, good day.

  • guitar sounds wank as usual. though his voice is great on this one for once. negs please.

  • Tom needs a shave :P

  • god tom's face is priceless but his voice has gotten better. haha

  • toms face was hilarous haha

  • tom sounds bbrrriiilllllll, his voice has got deeper tho, u can see hes struggling for the high notes

  • Tom's voice sounds way better. He made the best face too ahaha.

  • tom looked like he was eating a lemon haha

  • u could tell tom was struggling 2 do it 4m his face but it was good!:D marks voice was a bit out of tune! but still likin dis performance!:D:D:D:D

  • tom's voice is getting better and better again !!!

  • wow mark sounded really out of tune ...vocally
