  • In response to the comment below about being friendly to God....yes we babysit his children, we wash his laundry, we lift him up....we lift you up... for I am one of his children and sometimes I need babysitting, and my soul washed.....maybe you do too? Have you been knocked down repeatedly? Looking for some respite from the hardness of the world? When you need somewhere safe to call home...we will welcome you with love...

  • Does anybody know where I can find this whole sermon?

  • @Pryzstowski It tried finding it online but I can't. Marshill.org has the 12 most recent available for download, but this one is pretty old. They have some archived but I think they are a couple of bucks. I think it's called "Grace and Peace."

  • He is so right, I serve in Kolkata, India where witnessing is against the law, my friend is 22 kicked out of his Hindu house and another 16 is beaten and told to renounce her belief. However, they serve daily, they go to the villages. We weren't meant to be popular, we were meant to serve others, and rely completely on God.

  • Awesome stuff from Rob Bell for sure.

  • 14that we should no longer be children, TOSSED TO & FRO and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,

The purpose of unity is in Christ, Not with the Dali Lama, Not with the Pope but IN Christ. If you care so much about unity aggree with the Bible and you and I will be in unity. :)

  • Yeah, I read all that too, but obviously I took it much differently than you did. That whole section is about living life worthy of the calling that you were given by God. It specifically says: (2) Be completely humble and gentle, be patient, bearing with one another in love. (3) Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

So you mean to tell me that you will not show love to all, even though Christ showed you his love even when you were at your worst?

  • What is more loving? To tell a person that this watered down cure; which is easier to take will cure them. Or to warn this person so much that they are willing to take the real cure no matter how bitter tasting? We as Christians in America are guilty of Christian Malpractice. I was given a watered down cure my entire life & would of gone to Hell because of people with easy "sermons" like Bell. My hope is that people like Bell will get on the program. Like I said I like the style of his vids

  • I'm not only referring to loving non-believers or those people who have not yet heard the good news. I'm referring to loving fellow Christians. We as a whole make up the body of Christ, and we all have our calling. Each approach is different, and God intended it to be that way because the message of God needs to be spread in many different ways. It can be on a street corner in front of many, it can be done over a cup of coffee, it can be done by video, and it can be done by simply listening.

  • It was good to message back and forth with you, and I'm not going to argue with you on this because it is not bearing good fruit. I appreciate your point of view, and I'm so glad that we both agree that Christ is our Lord and Savior and that everyone needs the grace and peace of Jesus. God bless you!

  • I don't have an issue with how the Gospel is preached as much as I have an issue with the Gospel ISN'T Being preached. Throughout the Bible we see that the Gospel is preached with the back drop of Law, Sin & Judgement then the Good News you should type in "Hell's Best Kept Secrete." I hope you will and see that the Bible gives so many warnings about false teaching and problems within then it does about warnings from the outside.

  • how many times does he say Jesus is Lord? Can't find enough reasons to look down on your fellow man huh?

  • Not sure if that was a question or not . Assuming that it is . Open your eyes open your ears ," Jesus is Lord "is not saying that as a Christian we look down on every one else .Jesus sat with sinners and unclean disseased people . Jesus kneeled to wash the feet of his disciples.A mob of people went to stone a known WHORE , he settled the crowd , forgave the woman her sins and said go sin no more. Not even he judged her .

  • It's not even worth it.

  • 11And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the EDIFYING of the body of Christ, 13TILL we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

  • I care more about Unity with God and His word then with false teachers, breatheren, and churches. I refuse to find common ground with people when that common Ground is sinking sand. Ephesians tell us this:

  • I care more about unity with God and His word then being united with false teachings, false brethern, and false churches. I refuse to find common ground in regards to God with anyone, when that common ground is sinking sand to depths of Hell. Paul ran people out of Churches, now we get upset if someone writes a blog about someone.

  • Your so right man. As Paul Washer puts it "there are so many churches trying to seeker friendly but what you need to realize is there is only one Seeker and his name is God and if you want to be friendly to someone be friendly to him"

  • How do you be "friendly" to God? Do you take his garbage out? Or baby sit his kids?

  • You could probably start by preaching his word, or obeying his commands. It was a nice attempt at sarcasm though, I'm eager for your reply.

  • You'll be waiting a long time. I decided arguments on YouTube accomplish next to nothing. I think our time and energy should be spent elsewhere. Toodles!

  • Actually your pretty close. God wants us to sit with him , to talk with him , to share with him . When God called Moses to the Mountain top he called for him . God didnt just put Moses on the top of the mountain. And as far taking out the trash ..Theres plenty of sinners so yeah you were pretty close.

  • Really?

  • Let's see Rob would say "peace" till his final breath. This is what the Bible Says

"Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword."

    -Mathew 10:34

"Behold, their valiant ones shall cry without: the ambassadors of peace shall weep bitterly." -Isa 33:7

"There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked." -Isa

"They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace. ":Jer6:14

  • I don't know why Rob Bell Cares that "christians" would use their power to be in Govt. Since everyone according to Rob Bell is Saved and going to heaven. Let's bring on a World Wide Roman Catholic Church. So everyone from the crusaders to Hitler are all going to the same place as Jesus. (This is why rob bell is heritic and sadly he himself is going to hell).

  • I'd like to see where you heard that Rob Bell theological statement. I've never heard that before.

"The world is deserately in need of people who will break themselves open and pour themselves out for the reconciliation of all things. When a Christian can find nothing better to do with all their time in the face of this much pain and heartbreak, you start realizing that some Christians need to be saved."

  • Velvit Jesus. "The whole world is saved they just don't know it." Remember these emergiant "church" dudes tend to believe that they can never have truth so they will typically flip flop on postions. Or come to new ones depending on how trendy they are. I do by the way like the style of the vids but I've seen some that are dangerous and are hericy.

-Daniel PS Thanks for the comment

  • Do you know what page I can find that on?

  • I think you mean Velvet Elvis, and what I read was:

    pg 146

Heaven is full of forgiven people. Hell is full of forgiven people. Heaven is full of people God loves, whom Jesus died for. Hell is full of forgiven people God loves, whom Jesus died for. The difference is how we choose to live, which story we choose to live in, which version of reality we trust. Ours or God's.

What you say about Bell is due to lack of knowledge. You should not claim someone is going to hell. It's not your place.

  • In His vid he described all of man kind as "HOLY MUD CLUPS." He goes on further "that we are all breathing in and out God" He is telling the unregenerated unrepented sinner who's mine is at war with God that they are holy & God is in them; when they are not. IF Bell truely believes this He does not have the spirit of truth in him therefore he is left with his own spirit which is a lying one. I don't like the idea that anyone including Bell, is going to Hell but the truth is most people are.

  • "Preachers" like Bell water down living water and will be judged for not giving people the truth & helping them see their need for repentence. The more man tries to use his own means outside of the obedience of God the more we will see people be damded. I have to go open air preach now and be the "bullhorn guy." Pleading with sinnder to repent & have Jesus as Lord AND Savior.

  • I am further shocked that he get's "disturbed when it is easier to be a Christian" When this guy the chief of easy believism. This guy needs to read his bible more and stop kissing and bowing to the Dali Lama. What a shame

  • Ephesians Chapter 4. Search for unity.

  • Grace and peace to you!

  • hey rob it was called the roman catholic church!

  • ? There was no Roman Catholic Church in the time of Paul.

  • i was refering to the point where he was describing the dark ages.

in the words of erwin mcmanus"the dark ages were a case of missing the point"

bibles in other than latin heresy!

was what i was refering to sorry about the confussion

  • He wasn't saying "grace and peace" when Rob had an encounter with a guy that was warning people to flee from the wrath of God. He even did a video called "Bull horn guy".

  • The bull horn guy has a very close-minded view of Rob. He may not say it in his Noomas much, but Rob does talk of sin and repentance to his congregation. I've heard it with my own two ears.

  • Did you hear the message this past Sunday?

  • How often do we as Christians shelter ourselves in Churches for the mear reason that we will find things hard if we really tried following the Gospel. Homeless are unpredictable, so we'll leave them for an organization, but as for me and my house...we will live in comfort. I find it so true of myself. When was the last time I asked a homeless person around for dinner? What about even the next door neighbor or our workmates? I've always been in the one in power or in control of my life.
