  • i've got an obsession with death too emilie

  • Goth girls are the cutest. <3

  • I love Emilie Autumn!!! She's my hero!

  • i love gothic it's an art and it's hot i love gothic <3

  • i <3 emilie autum

  • @wowwhydidimakethis i <3 her more ;)

  • This is the gayest shit I have ever seen In my life

  • @slinched Considering it doesn't actually deal with homosexuals (and, in fact, has a porn star as a model in here) that line seems even more stupid. Go away and stop commenting on videos you don't like. Just go find another video.

  • @TrickPink i usually would but the whole cutting yourself and life sucks is fucking retarded. And the model would be very pretty if she didnt dress like that

  • @slinched Well, the lyrics of this song doesn't exactly bemoan life. It celebrates death as life's natural opposite. "What is a day without a blessed night? And what is peace without a blessed fight?"

  • @slinched You seem to be confusing goth with emo, buddy. That shit will get you smashed if you catch someone on a bad day. lol It's akin to calling a punk a hippy. They are polar opposites quite often. and may i quote MC Lars. "They're so gay" "you mean theyre happy, jovial and good spirited?" "No I mean they're music sucks." "Oh Im sorry I thought you were trying to speak English then. My bad." if you dont like it, dont waste your time commenting on it. Move on.

  • @JetBlackNero well why would this be called death is the new alive if there not emo cause this shit is pretty depressing music

  • @slinched See, this isn't even as depressing as it could be. Ever listen to Billie Holiday? She used to be an old jazz and blues singer. See, the blues are the original "emo." "Gloomy Sunday" is THE most depressing song one can listen to. You have no idea what music used to be like.

  • @slinched again, confusing goth with emo. Emo wasn't the first 'label' to incorporate death into their music. In my eyes i deem this song more about the inevitability of death and how we can learn not to fear it by accepting it. that isn't depressing to anyone with a bit of a philosophic mind. Death does not = emo. And for the record, I wouldnt call EA an emo to her face. She has stated so many times she is goth. (And note the fact you judged a song by the title. Same as a book and cover)

  • @JetBlackNero Loves. <3 <3

  • 3:20 -who is it?

  • @funnyfurtuson Liz Vicious

  • @TrickPink damn, i knew i had seen her XD in porn tho, she's rly good lookin

  • @funnyfurtuson Yeah, I've been told before that she's a porn star. I don't care much though, as I think she takes some good pics.

  • @funnyfurtuson I did'nt mean that as any negative, she IS beatiful

  • i like it!! i do more electronic music but my fav band is the sisters...you have a great sound

  • @berzertt I feel it right to at least let you know that while I created the slideshow, the pictures and music are not mine. If you enjoy the music, please go look up the artist herself, Emilie Autumn. I adore her as well.

  • omg at 1st i was thinking this wont sound cool, but when i heard itxDDD OMGxD love it

  • Thanks for this--and the photos are great!!!

  • Dear uploader, why are you so happy about your 50k views, man this will be at 2mil just you wait

  • @BobDaPilow I'm always happy when my reviews climb. I never really expect to get more than a few hundred hits on a video. I make what I like and what I want to see and just hope others enjoy it as well. So when I get something as much as 50k hits, I'm excited. I've never had more than about 70-80k hits on a vid. But thanks for your wishes! If I ever get 2mil views, I'll make a video dedicated to you because you're the one that wished it for me first.

  • <3 u emilie xD :)

  • who are the two girls at :27 and 1:17?

  • @LostBoyyy The one at 0:27 is Emilie Autumn herself. As for 1:17 I'm sorry but I don't know the name of that particular model.

  • @TrickPink i think its blessed contessa..oh wait..shes blonde..i no her name but i 4get!!!!! D:

  • well...sorry to say this, but as much as I like this song, its not really that great...

  • @boilingbubbles I love it. Hence why I used it. You don't have to like it as much as I do.

  • @TrickPink enjoyment does not always equal prowess. I love listening to this song, but i recognize it probably didn't take too much effort to write. understand my point?

  • @boilingbubbles True, but I find songwriting in general to be much more difficult than other kinds of writing. So even songs that don't take much to write (and this one probably took more effort than a lot of the shit you hear nowadays) still have more put into them than in other forms of writing.

  • @TrickPink fair enough

  • man my fav is @ 1:54 XD

  • 1:00 omfg visible psi ball! that is skill in energy working!

  • I understand your argument, and what I have to say regarding the whole "goth or not" matter is Emilie Autumn herself is considerably a goth as she is a fan of goth music and a member of the gothic subculture, but her music in itself is not goth. Depending on the era or album, Emilie's music ranges from synthpop, classical, folk, industrial, and so on. Even so, genres aside it is completely irrelevant whether it is goth or not, seeing that her music is generally outstanding.

  • Emilie Autumn is more original than the other artists out there. Her sound is unique and her look is classic.

  • 17 people missed the like button

  • I luv how the violin sounds in the begining it sounds like a guitar

  • @NeoNPaNdaZTV I thought that was what it was at first too, but then again that's before I knew who Emilie Autumn was or that she did this song. I love how she can do that.

  • I favorited this with full intention. Love it!

  • i really licked it ;)

  • Dark sophisticated and well written this is great sort of vanessa mae on acid.

  • nice voice. deep but beautiful and intoxicating. hope she does very well for her self

  • @castletriglav: Go away. Nobody cares what you think if all you're going to do is bash and flame rather than say something worthwhile.

  • @castletriglav How the fuck can you diss one of the most amazing songs ever by one (or THE) most amazing artists ever? <3

  • @castletriglav your a douchbag then

  • @castletriglav then put up, or shut up. Show you can do better, or at least show you have some respectable knowledge on the subject worth acknowledging.

  • Romanusmilus, so like Gothic Lolita?

Thats the name for victorian type of gothic style. XD

    Amazing song

  • omg

  • this is an amazing song and it's true

    dead is the new alive

  • for the record the girl is corect. emilie is infact goth. shes just a diferent type of goth that people dont stereotypicaly classify as imidiate goth but it is goth nontheless. its a victorian type of goth.

  • Your either victorian or goth or both, there is no victorian goth, totally different cultures and time periods

  • I have to disagree with you.goth was origianlly used for the Scandenavian barabrians that invaded parts of the Roman Empire in the 3rd,4th,and 5th centuries, the term 'goth' was then used to describe architecture during the 12th and 16th centuries in Europe. Later, it was applied to 18th and 19th century literature that held a fascination of death and supernatural. The Victorian era started around the 18th century. Hence, goth and victorian can be placed together. It all overlaps and connects.

  • @CheeseCakeInTheDark

Emily Autumn is more of an electro-goth so its up to the person to decide if shes goth. Personally I dont think she is goth. Victorian by no means. She appeals to the goth crowed but so does Joy Division and no one thinks Ians a goth. But to me I only respect Deathrock as true goth.

  • Does anyone notice that 3:21 looks oddly like freaking gay Miley Cyrus?

Is she posing now? That pisses me off greatly.

  • LOL I actually used that pic in another vid of mine and was told this:

Apparently her name is Liz Vicious and she's a porn star.

  • @TrickPink Wow... Interesting. She looks SO much like her...

Maybe they're secretly related? >.> (jk)

  • @TrickPink yep that's right you can get many stuff from her on the Internet^^

  • @TrickPink and thanks for including it hun :)

  • @MissLizvicious Your very welcome. I happen to really like that photo of yours. It's the perfect expression. If I find more, am I free to use them? I always credit it to you of course.

  • @ShadowAshley lol well no thats one of my Photos

    Liz Vicious

  • Sexy, attractive, deep, and sophisticated. This is both beauty and art:) Excellent- truly immortal beauty here.

  • preferisco le scelte "tribal" al fumettismo

  • ...

Okay, like most people whose main language is english, I can find a translation for what you said. But it doesn't quite end up making sense for me.

    Inglese per favore? Se potete?

  • so awesome well done

  • Ah-hah you pervert Liz Vicious is a pornstar!!! It's ok though, she's the best.

  • Like I care about what someone chooses to do for a living.

  • Ah you kids these days are so quick to assume. Consider, that it was a compliment perhaps? Wrapped around the introduction of a joke, and put to sleep with the exit of reassurance. Props on the video, is all I meant to say.

  • I'm just sick of people pointing that fact out. I don't care about what people do for a living when I pull these pictures.

But I did get the compliment and thankies.

  • Ok, I´ll translate. Obviously, it won`t be literally:

Uma praiazinha caía bem nessas gostosas.

These hot women only need beach/sunbath.

    Translate this:

    I hope that translates right.

  • This still sends me to a far away place when i listen. I love it.

  • Thankies!

  • uma praiazinha caia bem nessas gostosas.

  • ...

Alright so I know what language that is, and I can partially translate it...but it's still not making sense to me.

Inglês por favor? Se você pode?

  • TrickPink you have introduced EA to me so now I may begin to enjoy and share this with others. A very powerful choice of images, lyrics, and representation on ur part. Thanks for that. btw...Do u imvu? My username is the same as here...okayies...thankies 2 u 2!

  • LOL I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I hope you enjoy her music as well. No I don't have IMVU, right now I just stick to Gaia, but I have been thinking about it...not sure if I wanna tho...

  • the pic at 1:12 is awesome.

  • I'm pretty sure a random search for "gothic beauty" or "gothic art" might get this to pop up.

  • She's amazing.

  • <3 Yes she is :-)

  • id like her even more if she sat on my face

  • Go. Away.

  • EA is definitely not for everyone, but hey don't like don't listen.

  • Omg....you've lost your mind.

    EA is genius! Great video!

  • Thankies!

  • jajaaj, buen tema de Emilie Autumn

  • Thankies

  • Absolutely beautiful!!! Love it, love it, love it!!!!

  • I just love her and her music !!!

  • You Are U Goth* Are U Goth* Are U Goth*

  • yeah she's a good violinist, nice vocal style too, but for someone who's been playing violin since she was 4 year of age, I think it's expected that she play something nice. Check out Velvet Acid Christ's remix version of this song, I acutually like it a little more than this original version, although this sounds like a classic, with late 80s/early 90s influence.

  • Y'know I've heard most of the remixes of this song and I always like this one the best. I just don't like any other versions.

  • that violin solo at 2:30 is some of the sickest shit i've ever heard.

  • She is quite amazing, no?

  • did u know that u uploaded this twice? i mean its cool, but i want to know if it was intentional or not

  • ?? No I didn't. I only uploaded it once on this account. Give me the link to the other one please?

  • HOLY CRAP SHE LOOKS AWSOME

  • Which one LOL.

  • lol its all the same girl...emilie autumn

  • not rly tho ...most of them

  • the genre of her music is Victoriandustrial or Violindustrial !

One side of the "Goths" like her and the others not. Who cares, her shows are adorable and I was glad to see her live.

She sings, acts and plays as she wants and so she creates some thing new I think.

So shut up and listen, maybe then you will understand.

  • Again, I will reiterate. I classify things based on two things: 1) My interpretation of the music for the genre blank in my Zune (screw iFuck) and 2) when I do a themed video. I have to catagorize the music to fit with the theme. In this case, this song reminded me of a goth girl's theme song. So hence the goth girl slide show.

  • wow very cool

  • Oh, and nice video. Emilie's pretty. ^^

  • But thankies!

  • So... If Emilie Autumn is what you call 'Goth', how is it possible that things like Evanescene, Malice Mizer, Die Sektor, Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, Black Synapse, Gregorian, Nightwish and Das Ich are Goth? They are all different genres.

Let me state it this way...

Gothic = Poser/Label term, which should be used for all mentioned bands, plus this one.

Goth = Subculture from the 80s, a victim of labelling. Look it up in Wikipedia.

My point is, stop labelling. It's stupid and immature.

  • When I do a themed video, I have to come up with a label for it. Evanescence and Nightwish both fall into the "Gothic Rock" category for me, Malice Mizer I believe would be under Visual Kei, Manson and Nine Inch Nails go under Rock or Metal depending on my moon. They are my classifications for my use. So go away.

  • yes, cause wkipedia is the bible/ dictionary, and is NEVER wrong. lol,

    great video luv kins

  • A good friend once told me, "I'd rather label myself than have a million other people do it for me."

Just seeing pix of Emilie and knowing that she is into DIY, I'd say she's definitely goth. Unlike Manson or Good Charlotte. ;)

I wonder what music all these folk telling you 'she's not goth' listen to? And how much experience do they base their judgment on?

  • Mostly they base their judgement on her own classification of her music. She calls herself "Victoriandustrial."

But I think she's about as flexible with labels as I am, so that's why she made up her own for her work. I don't think she's goth in ever sense of the word, just in some.

  • Do you know Triple 6 the girl? she is fucking awesome

  • Nope, don't know her. Who is she?

  • Dont know her either send me a pic or something lol its a band right?

  • i will dress like this. its a great style xD

  • It is, I love it, but it can get really expensive for the good stuff *saddened*

  • I know D: it sucks. but you can also make some of the stuff.

  • Very true, provided that you're not so much of a klutz as to keep stabbing yourself with a needle. *looks around and whistles innocently*

  • nice work. I may not be goth, but I liked this.

  • Thankies!

  • Está realmente. Amo realmente Emilie.

  • really coz i feel fucking dead all the time

  • Well then maybe you should get that checked out.

  • God I love Emilie, I just got her cd yesturday.

  • the rock version is so much better

  • I actually don't like it as much. Mostly because it leaves out like half the lyrics that make this song as great as it is.

  • *sigh* i know this is stupid but im knew at this givme a break - who sings this song and before you just post her name give me some songs becouse i havent found anything like this before

  • Hehe that's okay. I know my credits went by too fast lol. Her name is Emilie Autumn. If you want a bunch of her music, go look at wingedzepher's account, he puts a lot of it up. I recommend "Ophiliac" "Swallow" "Shallot" "Thank God I'm Pretty" and "Marry Me."

  • loved it

  • heyy wat does it matter if she's goth or not? her music is fuckin awesome either way, and bsides, labels are for soupcans.

  • YAYZ! Thankies for your support and comments!

  • this is Emilie autumn not "gothic" XD

  • I know that by genre (if you *must* label something....save that crap for soup cans...) she is not considered gothic. HOWEVER, when I first heard this song, all I could think of was that it was a goth girl's theme song. "When the obsession with death becomes a way of life." Really did make perfect sense to me. Hence the gothic slideshow to it. It's all about interpretation, not following labels.

  • 5 stars

  • THAT WAS AWSOME!!!

    Love the song!! ^^

  • I'm glad, I worked really hard on this one.
