Jesus is real. That have his articles of clothing , cross an other stuff like that over in i think europe. Anways i have seen another video like this, that was about atheism, and basically called it a delusion. So there isnt an exact answer. Science is just ideas. We werent around thousands of years ago, so how should we know? No arguments please.
I enjoy your assertion that there is no evidence for the resurrection of Jesus, nor for his life. Never mind the fact that biblical scholars and critics Theist and Atheist a like agree on the facts of the new testament. But you're right, there is NO evidence for Islam or Mormonism and they know it too. However, if faith is a delusion so is science. Science requires faith that what you're studying wont wander off into incomprehensible chaos. otherwise science is useless.
This is pretty funny. Apart from just trying to offend people this is completely wrong.
There is loads of evidence that backs up the Bible including the FACT that Jesus really did live and was crucified (other writings from the time), 66 prophecies from over the few thousands of years before Jesus was born that accurately predicted what would happen to Jesus. I could go on for ever but I'm not going to wast my time. Anyone interested, read: EVIDENCE THAT DEMANDS A VERDICT BY JOAH MCDOWELL :)
you have it backwards, christianity started first and mormans and islomists stole parts of the bible, so they cant be right, Jesus is the only way! and living in a world full of sin is ok?
@jonthewolf The Bible is a mix of myths from various pagan practices and beliefs.
The Jesus myth is copied from other virgin birth, resurrection, miraculous powers myths. Raising the dead, healing the sick, etc. was just a tired old recycled story by then.
Constantine made this particular myth part of Roman Empire manipulation of the uneducated lower class to con them into obeying the emperors.
@ndrthrdr1 And you think that God cant do the things in the bible. I can see what you are trying to save people from, but this world isnt our final destination, so as a christian I should live for Christ not man or self. Thats just the the hard truth. if you come at me with the "if there was no god some one would make him up" line its becouse its true, we as humans where made to worship and have a relationship with God, thats why that kind of relationship is sought after so many times.
lol I don't get how god is real. There is no such thing if they can prove it then yeah go a head but so far science can give an explanation to nearly every thing like how space was created, The Big Bang! Not 6 days of gods hard work and he had one day off pffft seriously get real!
Convincing closed-minded religious fanatics may be a lost cause, but those who have doubts and are seriously considering the evidence can sometimes be reached. That target audience includes some who will finally realize that their religious beliefs are illogical.
Your Delusion to accept that video on you tube can simply whisk away delusion people with 10:00 minutes. Are you seriously try to fool your self to think will change the minds of religious people? I live with Christians and your idea that they slow down science or harmful is a bias. You also make assumption that delusion makes them healthy, when it clear that healthy mind works on patterns and familiarities, rituals which can be just task or others. There delusion is threat to no one.
In the Book of Mark chapter 11, verse 23 - Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Verse 24 - Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. If you believe that the Bible is true, and if you believe that prayer works, try it. You'll see that prayer does nothing. Bible = BS.
@ndrthrdr1 now let's be fair. when i was a christian, i prayed for clarity and understanding. now that i am no longer a believer things are clear, consistent, and make much more sense.
Fock yeah! REligion in alll is DElusional. Focking crap they argue over.
Khristian = DElusional
Mhuslim = DElusional
Jhewdism = DElusional
Henduism = DElusional
Katholicism = DElusional
Faith is the real thing so everybody please get over this croooked REligion and stop the bulll shit. GOSH! REligion has no meaning and itz a twist of faith and itz also PHONY.
@KjrHellkules That makes you DEOusional too! because you believe in demons and hell! with out evil you dont have good ! and with out good you dont have evil ! you cant believe in 1 and not the other ! all HARDCORE CHRISTIANS LIKE MY SELF 100% KNOW THERE ARE DEVILS AND ANGELS HEAVEN AND HELL!
@Anthony220685 Um! sir, i know theirs only one WHATEVER it is but not so much. So im not delusional like yu so callled Holy ppl. Muhahahahaah! Plus i even give yalll a litttle insight on something that yalll never heard. " FAiTH ". YEP! thatz What none of yalll dont have. Heeeehheeeeh! i SHALLL PREVAiL. Okay
@ExpertOfSound Nobody knows exactly how the universe started. To say that eyes and the brain happened 'randomly' shows you misunderstand the process of natural selection. Evolution is a fact, which is why we worry about pathogens like swine flu. Atheism is a word that has no content; it is simply a rejection of theistic claims. The onus is not on the atheist to prove there is no god. You are, in fact, an atheist for all religious deities except the Christian god.
There's no arguing with religion. They use the omnipotence of their deities as an excuse for anything. Even this video in their logic may just be a test by their deity to test their faith. If they pass they gain immortality.
Of course all religion is delusional. But you atheist fags just need to stop worrying about other people's lives. You're just letting them know how much they are getting to you by being little whiny bitches about god not being real.
I love how Athiests think they know everything. You can go with what humans that live as long as you do say, or you can go with a book that has been around since the dawn of man.
dawn of man? the NT isnt even 2000 years old. we have tracked ERVs back over 150,000 years to a common ancestor of ALL modern humans.
there is also NO evidence of the kind of population bottleneck in ANY genome of any species on the planet. we DO see bottlenecks in other species, like the cheetah which went through a decline to as small as a dozen breeders, the resulting inbreeding MARKS the genome... at 10,000 years ago, too early for your (impossible) flood.
Instead of doing that... could I get a specific site? A lot of the sites don't have facts... just "faith facts", which don't work on atheists who require more logic than faith.
You poor, deluded creationist. Monkeys do not become humans. Humans and the other primates are all descended from a common ancestor. Please take some basic science classes before making a fool of yourself again.
@GwynforLwyd If they're all descended from the same thing, why did some become irrational, small brained monkeys, and some become rational, complex, human beings?
@kittysaurusRAWR Because evolutionary adaptions can go in different directions. Evolution isn't about breeding the best, it is about survival. If one adaption ensures survival it is successful, but not necessarily the best. Read "The Blind Watchmaker", by Richard Dawkins for a pithy explanation of the process of evolution, backed by mounds of scientific evidence.
So, essentialy he is trying to get someone who believes one thing to admit that those who have another religion than them are not right. Then he tries to snowball this up to break down your own beliefs. Problem is he is just saying things in a belittling matter, and skewing them, and then concludeing on his assertions. Maybe some evidence would be a bit more convincing, not just, "hey your wrong, so don't you see your wrong? duh!"
Your wrong. The fact is we have so much evidence that your not exepting the truth. There is no God,nor heaven and we all just have to exept the fact and live without doubt
The divine by nature is something which exceeds our ability to define and test. When science doesn't show direct evidence of God, it shouldn't be shocking to anyone. It is not possible to prove that God doesn't exist, to make that assertion means you are taking a leap of faith.
I'm an atheist but I can still clearly see that this video will have no effect on Christians. If you want to convince someone you're right don't immediately call them "delusional" or they'll be offended and won't listen.
@bighugejake... thanks for that, I was thinking the same thing. Belief in god may be delusional, but this fool is no better by naively lumping a billion people into one group of counteractive humans. I'm atheist, but my problem with many atheists is that because they feel that logic is on their side they are obliged to belittle everyone else who thinks differently.
though you might be right in a huge amount of cases this movie was my own final drop going from a die hard believing christian to atheism and rationalism a couple of years back.
I liked so well thinking about it now that I deliberately looked it back up to thank him expressedly for this nice pivot point. I am a so much more relaxed and to my surprise, empathic person now. Which was odd cause I was already relaxed. Like an invisible stone on my shoulders I never knew was there dissapearing.
except there is tons of evidence that supports the bible persons places and events as recorded in the bible this video is prejudice it is just as bad as saying all black people like watermelon

Hey Retard. how many of these videos will you make before you relize no one gives a shit. i aint got nothin gainst mormons but im a christian so cut the shit and i hope u get your fucking throat slashed dickhole
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
the difference between the Christian religion and Mormon and Muslim is both of those were one man recording their own bible. The Christian bible was written by dozens of people who witnessed what happened. Jesus didn't write any of it, and lived and died poor, while Joe and Muhammad were very wealth. Muhammad even had an army and waged wars.
7 But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
says in the bible, 2 Peter 3 3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation. 5 For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, 6 by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water.
The Truth hurts. We are called to be salt and light. Sin is what is hurting people. The wages of sin is death. who is not going to die? you do have it right on 2 things momormonism and muslims. But Jesus is the way. you say there is no evidence, but if there is no evidence, how did you hear about it? magical is not the right term. its not witch craft. in the presence of 500 people he goes into heaven. majority is opinion is not proof. stop saying every one knows this, and every one knows that.
You have nothing else better to do than commenting on religion? Get a job or if you have a job already work on it fully. Whether you believe in God or not, why think people cares? I don't even care that Richard Dawkin exist. What I care is that I do what my daily routine in life and I just believe there is God but cut off all the craps ok. God never promised gold mine or cash rain. It doesn't matter. Because our mind desire for physical evidence to believe and that corrupted our soul.
Wow...truly angel is going to come to see me and tells me stuff??...i better pray today then...so angel will come...."what fake-up delusion is that?"
Come on....we got something better to do than imagining God sending angel to talk to me...if I want then better i ask God to send angel and gives me a sack containing billion of dollars so I can spend my entire life enjoying and/or maybe spend my entire life just praying so more sacks of cash come down....
I think this guy also delusional as his video is. I am a christian and I don't delusion of meeting an angel telling me stuff like that. I never expected one and even if there is such occurrence I might not believe that is angel who is spoken to me. maybe it is just a bad day dream because a christian is not suppose to blindly believe in such thing.

If you want to be set free from satans videos like this one, SAY LORD JESUS Come into my LIFE and show me the truth about this video. ASK JESUS into your life,Meaning it with your heart and mind and GOD will show you.
some comments i read should not be so cruel about this opinionated video. instead of proving this or that. Act on your faith. "I love the life that i live cause i live the life that i love" remember this and thats all that matters. And i do believe in GOD, this is where faith comes into play. If i feel then i do, if i do then I'm. For a long time i was not really a believer till 6 years ago i ask for help that cant be explained through logic or scientifically. Thank you for your time.
In addition, how could DNA have first replicated when so many different proteins are needed for DNA replication to occur? Since DNA codes for the creation of these proteins, where would these very complex proteins have originated? The DNA must have already existed in order to create these proteins! So the question is then: how did DNA, an incredibly structured information database come into existence? Even in single celled organisms the DNA sequence is extremely complex.
Yes, but for those details to carry over, the change must be beneficial to the survival of the organism. So then how does a process (such as blood clotting) that requires a number of very specific factors to be present and in the correct order to operate come to exist? If the mutation only produces one of these factors, the process will not fully function and it will not be selected for.
Not necessarily, the changes ONLY have to affect it's sex cells and be either beneficial, neutral, or harmful in a very minor way. DNA is made of amine acids. In aboigenesis the idea is that lightning (which jump starts life) struck amino acids on an early earth with a bunch of chemicals that aren't around anymore in such abundance and something something something. Abiogenesis isn't fully polished yet and there's a lot that still needs to be worked on.
Quick correction, DNA is not made of amino acids. It only codes for the sequencing of amino acids for creating proteins. DNA is a nucleic acid, a large macromolecule that requires a specific sequence of 4 nitrogeneous bases in order to make the needed proteins. How did this order come about? And in the complex double helix structure?
Whoops, caught me on that one. My bad. But amino acids are the building blocks of life, and those amino acids+lightning+early earth chemicals/conditions=life. Not all DNA is a double helix, by the way. Bacteria, for example, have a ring of DNA instead. The order likely came about due to lucky timing (I'm guessing chances were much better in earlier conditions). Like I said, Abiogenesis isn't fully polished yet and there's still a lot that needs to be worked on.
To me, naturalism is not godless. Its god is time and chance. Give dead matter enough time and life will arise. Even though we dont really have any verifiable proof that it could occur. Its just placing your faith in something else that can easily be discredited.
The main difference between naturalism and Christianity is that naturalism fuels our human centered worldview. We can live for ourselves, however we want to live it. Christianity makes us deny ourselves in order to live for God.
This is why I said that it's not fully polished. I believe in it very loosely all in all because it's really the only idea out right now with a scientific basis.
And we live for a lot of reasons. While you might be living just so you please god, someone might be living to better the lives of other people.
And believing abiogenesis seems to require a huge leap of faith in itself. Electricity hits some chemicals in the early atmosphere and makes amino acids (not even proven to be true). So what? They cant replicate without a nucleic acid. They arent in a protective cell. Scientists automatically assume that there is a naturalistic explanation for life. Intelligent Design is ruled out for this reason, even though it can explain everything. Why couldnt God have created life as He stated in Genesis?
First of all, the early earth had conditions that made the creation of life jump-started by energy (lightning in this case, which was very common back then) much easier. I'm no scientist and I've actually only just finished learning about the basic idea. Of course scientists assume there is a naturalistic explanation; science can ONLY support natural explanations, because the scientific method is based on repeated testing and observation.
Since supernatural things cannot be tested, nor experimented on, they are irrelevant in science and therefore ignored. To just stick God in there because there's no answer right now is a fallacy, god in the gaps, where just because we're not sure about something or we don't know everything, god must have done it. You're right, it is an answer, but that does not make it the right one, it makes it a cheap and easy one. And science isn't supposed to be easy, it's supposed to be correct and real.
Science does not have to only support naturalistic explanations. If good scientific procedure is performed, both creationists and naturalists will get the same results. It is in our interpretation of these results that a discrepancy arises. Interpretation will differ based on our individual biases and presuppositions. In my opinion a naturalistic explanation is not sufficient for the amazingly complex universe. From my view, a Higher Power is ESSENTIAL for explaining everything.
That's right, but it HAS to undergo the scientific method. If it cannot for whatever reason, it is irrelevant. IE God will never, EVER be considered a scientific theory. And why is it essential? You're using god in the gaps again.
I believe it is necessary because a naturalistic explanation just doesnt seem logical to me. How and why did our universe begin to exist? How was matter, time and energy created? The first law of thermodynamics states that energy cannot be created/destroyed, so where did it come from in the first place. Science doesnt have the answers (at least not yet) so we are taught to keep "faith" that science will find the answers in the future. But why should I trust this answer more than another?
You're still using god in the gaps. I don't think you realize it. Just because we don't know how something happens does NOT mean god did it. You should trust that we will eventually have the answers instead of saying God did it because it's illogical and stupid to have an answer JUST for the sake of having one. You should just be humble and patient and accept that we can't have an explanation for everything.
Yet it still does not rule out that God did not do it. In the end it all comes down to how we choose to fill in the gaps in our knowledge.
Our beliefs define who we are, shape how we experience the world and give us overall direction in life. Personally, I can't base my beliefs on circumstantial evidence while I wait for the "real" answers to come. What if they never come? This life would have no purpose, and no hope for me.
This is a philosophical question, not a scientific one. Science does do some leg work for philosophy, but its not applicable in matters outside of the natural world - though logic still is.
You are presupposing an objective meaning to life and are unwilling to accept the consequences of the Absurd. Life can still have purpose without god, only its a subjective purpose you find within the life experience. The truth isn't always edifying.
Well the way it is presented in society, it is stated as if it is a fact. How is the general population supposed to know it is only a theory when all they ever hear is that we evolved from apes? School, media, you name it. Until not too long ago, I wasn't even aware that evolution could be questioned. That is until I did a little research of my own and found out that it was not as air tight as I was led to believe.
It IS a fact. And you idiot, if you did any research you wouldn't have typed any of what you just typed. It's not JUST a theory, okay? If that was true, then the THEORY of gravity, atomic THEORY and einstein's THEORY of relativity are crap too, even though we know they are completely true. And we do not evolve from apes. We descend from a common ancient ancestor that looked more like a lemur-squirrel thing (it's hard to describe). It can't be questioned, you're just a liar.
Being called a theory does not make it correct. Theories are just how we explain observed phenomenon. The theories you listed are relatively simple to test since they exist today. Evolution on the other hand is harder to test experimentally since it is said to occur over a long period of time. We can observe slight changes within a species (eg. bacteria becoming resistant to antibiotics). This is natural selection. But there is no evidence that the bacteria will become a completely new organism.
Actually, yes it does. In science a theory=fact. (You can go to notjustatheory(dot)com for a better explanation on this). And who says there's something stopping bacteria from becoming a new organism? New species arise from isolation. If we took two lions and isolated them in different locations they would evolve in different ways, over and over, until they could no longer be able to breed with each other and are considered separate species.
To say that the bacteria can evolve somewhat, but not radically over a radical amount of time is like saying I can count to 10 but I can't count to 10,000. What's stopping me? It's like taking a red ball and painting a tiny dab of blue paint on it every day. Eventually most of the ball will be blue. What happens if there's just one dab of paint left before it's completely blue? What's stopping me from painting the last part and calling it a blue ball instead of just a modified red ball?
In your example, whether the ball is red or blue, it is still a ball. Sure, maybe the ball can change into a different type of ball (tennis ball to soccer ball) but how can it change into a computer? That would require an amazingly complex rearrangement (and addition) of matter. Similarly, how does a single celled organism become a human given some simple starting genetic material (that scientists cant explain how it originated). Where is all the new genetic info coming from?
The point is that with time, gradual changes add up to huge changes, just because you cannot imagine it on such a grand scale does not mean that it has to be simplified in the way that would make it seem more like transformation. New genetic information is added by mutations. If you knew what you were talking about you'd know this. New information can be added by a first mutation that copies one base in the genome, which can happen easily. Then a second one changes that copied base.
And what if I started adding pieces of metal to the ball? What if i started adding wires to the ball? Anything, ANYTHING can change into something completely different if you gradually change it one detail at a time over a long period of time.
Just because you deem something as magical does not instantly make it false. How about the magical evolution of humans from apes? That seems pretty outlandish for any "rational human being" to believe. And if you say that there is empirical evidence for this truth, then where is the missing link? Under your logic, how many people are delusional for believing in evolution without having concrete evidence?
Evolution is not magical. You can see adaptation to conditions in people too: if they work hard jobs, they grow muscles. If they sit on their computers, their arses get bigger. That is evolution right there. No magic. And that proved evolution. Yup.
I'm not refuting that that does happen. But that fails to account for how a completely new species can arise. Lifting weights does not change our genetic code, so these adaptations are not passed on to the next generation. There is NO true proof that all life originated from a single celled organism. It is still just a theory. Yet our society has seemed to accept it as fact. Seems pretty hypocritical that evolution can be widely accepted without true empirical evidence but other theories cannot
Have you heard about dog breeding? It takes onley a few generations to create a new race. In this case humans determinas which abilities will make you survive (i.e. If you do not have it we won't let you have puppies).
Evolution predict this to lead to a new race. ID predicts no change will occur. Which one was right?
Nonetheless, they are still dogs. A new race of dogs are still dogs, even if they are different than their ancestors. This fails to explain how we evolved from single cell organisms into the complex beings that we are today.
I still find it extremely strange that we are sure that we evolved from apes when there is no fossil record to back this up. If science is all about using evidence to establish facts, then how is evolution so unquestionably correct without this crucial piece of evidence?
Im sorry, but that wasn't enough to convince me to leave my faith. Your main arguement was essentially that because other people think Christians are morons, then we shouldn't be Christians anymore. So we should dictate our beliefs on what other people believe? Also you're a bit presumptuous about how Christians harm the world. Sure there are plenty of nutjob christians, but I would never only pray for someone if they need medical help, and a belief in heaven does mean human life is worthless.
Have you heard Jesus' mircales? healing blind people making cripple's walk, turning water into wine. of course there is no evidence you cant tell from a skeleton person if they were blind or not. people probably drank the wine. but there is evidence in the bible. and it's your choice to believe or not
btw you should think before making these videos you are basically calling christians insane and stupid
i realy don't get it, why do you try so mutch in making alll the christians "non-christian"? if you don't belive in god, then why do you care so mutch about us who do? Beliving in od is very important to some peapole, and it makes them feel good. having someone as watch over them, taking care of them. It's realy nice, you should try it.
Yeah, and it also makes them feel like they should impose that faith on everyone else to the point that Christians want to regulate what everyone else does in their own bed. Trust me, if Christians weren't so pushy and hostile I'd have no problem with them and I'd wager that VERY few other people would.
when i began my cofirm i thought they would be like "you must belive in god and you may never say god damn it" or something like that. But they are cool. they said to me that it was okay to go to church even if you didn't belive in god, and they didn't pushed me at all... i still donät belive in god, but i pray to him when i have problems anyway...
Christians get a tad maniacal when it comes to non-christians rights.
You're probably not a bad person; but you belong to a group that murders, rapes, molests, oppresses, and drags from their bumpers people they disagree with.
i and think you are kind or racist, just because some (or maybe most) christians are murders, rapers and so on dosn't mean everyone is. an life is so mutch better if you think possitive, when you meet a new person you'll take him for the best ;)
And yes, because lipids happen to be naturally inclined to have hydrophobic and hydrophilic (again not homophobic or anything pertaining to such since im sure you hate them too as a christian like you hate truth)And monomer and polymers formed and over billions of years reacted and accidentally self replicated. NAtural selection took over from there and here we are today, successful genes like mine, and loser genes like yours. Read a real book before making a fool of yourself and your fairytale.
I wish we could at least see a habitable planet form earth. This is a great place in our galaxy for a race to sit on their hands and believe in religions. :[
You speak here of religions created by man. God never mentions mormons, christians,or any other religion in the Bible. God is Faith. Trust me He has heard many of my prayers and answered them. You are doing satans work here. You ridicule God. I pray God has mercy on you,for you not no what you say.Did you know that if the sun was 1 inch further from the earth or closer ,there would be no life on this earth. Of course this had nothing to do with God ,our creator we just got lucky.stop deceiving
"Did you know that if the sun was 1 inch further from the earth or closer ,there would be no life on this earth. Of course this had nothing to do with God ,our creator we just got lucky.stop deceiving"
HAHA! so everything was created by accident and we're lucky?... LOL LOL LOL xD
Interesting attempt at trying to use complete nonsense as scientific proof for nothing. The Earth orbits the Sun on whats called an ellipse, suppose to learn that by 2-3 grade? which means the earths distance from the sun differes MUCH more then an inch all the time, I.E. Perihelion distance 91,402,725 miles, 94,511,989 miles at Aphelion. Thats a 3,109,264 mile flux...a tad more/less than an inch my friend, your proven wrong. Please, rebuttal me (that means prove me wrong, not about gay people)
all four of my children are a Blessing from God,who do you think you are to tell some one to have children or not. You sound like the nazis or chinese, 1 child limit.
love peace wisdom faith a servant to The Lord Jesus Christ
It's all in your head. You see it because you WANT to. I feel sorry for you. You obviously decided to take the blue pill and keep living in a fantasy world.
How is our delusion hurting you or us (all)? What is your inference that God and Heaven is imaginary? Or maybe in your other video about prayer? How is prayer a coincedence or imiganary? The theory or tests that people have gone through? Coincedence. Maybe the test was a coincedence, maybe? The Milk Jug, maybe that is just udder delusion? Answer this: WHO created the universe? Well did it just appear, I cannot bear to think of that... Maybe you have just gone delusional.
"How is our delusion hurting you or us (all)?" 7:39
"What is your inference that God and Heaven is imaginary?" there is no evidence to support the existence of god: the idea of faith depends upon this fact.
"Maybe the test was a coincedence"
this is possible, though we have to rely on the volume and consistancy of results to draw a logical conclusion.
"The Milk Jug, maybe that is just udder delusion?" it is, that is the whole point of the video.
"Faith" is probably the most ridiculous and devious of all religious memes. Essentially, it claims the fact that there is no reason to believe is a reason to believe.
In any other situation this would be seen as ridiculous, even borderline psychotic, but because it's religion it's treated as some kind of divine truth.
Can you name one real-world situation, other than religion, where you make decisions based on "faith"? Why is belief in god any different?
It's funny that this guy tells christians over and over again that he thinks they're normal, smart people and that they would understand his message. Still the things he does in his vid's are really easy to look through. He uses a sort of subliminal messaging by uses certain images with certain lines. He says the same things over and over again, most politicians, preachers, etc. do that. He does all kinds of this stuff and still nobody apparantly looks through that. I still agree with him. :)
Short answer: "Beware of many false prophets." It's not the "fairy tale" of Jesus that is important; it's his message such as "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" "Love others as well as you love thyself" These contradict what Muslims are taught. Read Mark Twain's review on the Book of Mormon and you will have my answer to that one.
You may say that I can't pick and choose what to believe in the bible. Actually I can if I am not a Christian, but a spiritual being. I know the history and I am fully aware that the Christian faith has been corrupted by the Roman's religion. I look to all pure religions for my spiritual guidance.
Believe nothing, no matter where you read it or who has said it, not even if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense. Buddha

Anyone interested, read: EVIDENCE THAT DEMANDS A VERDICT BY JOAH MCDOWELL :)

you have it backwards, christianity started first and mormans and islomists stole parts of the bible, so they cant be right, Jesus is the only way! and living in a world full of sin is ok?
jonthewolf 4 months ago
@jonthewolf The Bible is a mix of myths from various pagan practices and beliefs.
The Jesus myth is copied from other virgin birth, resurrection, miraculous powers myths. Raising the dead, healing the sick, etc. was just a tired old recycled story by then.
Constantine made this particular myth part of Roman Empire manipulation of the uneducated lower class to con them into obeying the emperors.
...and so spread the cult.
ndrthrdr1 3 months ago
@ndrthrdr1 And you think that God cant do the things in the bible. I can see what you are trying to save people from, but this world isnt our final destination, so as a christian I should live for Christ not man or self. Thats just the the hard truth. if you come at me with the "if there was no god some one would make him up" line its becouse its true, we as humans where made to worship and have a relationship with God, thats why that kind of relationship is sought after so many times.
jonthewolf 3 months ago
@jonthewolf There is no actual (empirical) evidence that there is an afterlife or a soul.
There are many, many religions, with different gods, who have different descriptions, requirements and powers.
These gods all have one thing in common. They are invisible.
I've noticed that invisible things and imaginary things look very much alike.

Bible = BS.

So basically, you are just saying that everything we know just appeared out of nothing?
And what is the universe?
So you are saying that the eyes you see out of just happened randomly?
So you are saying that a human brain is just random?
And all the predictions the Bible makes are just nothing?
Why has nothing evolved further in the 2010 + years?
The truth is, Christianity has little evidence, and neither do Atheists...
We will have to wait and see I guess. I am a Christian.

You are, in fact, an atheist for all religious deities except the Christian god.

dawn of man? the NT isnt even 2000 years old. we have tracked ERVs back over 150,000 years to a common ancestor of ALL modern humans.
there is also NO evidence of the kind of population bottleneck in ANY genome of any species on the planet. we DO see bottlenecks in other species, like the cheetah which went through a decline to as small as a dozen breeders, the resulting inbreeding MARKS the genome... at 10,000 years ago, too early for your (impossible) flood.

@GwynforLwyd If they're all descended from the same thing, why did some become irrational, small brained monkeys, and some become rational, complex, human beings?
kittysaurusRAWR 1 year ago
@kittysaurusRAWR Because evolutionary adaptions can go in different directions. Evolution isn't about breeding the best, it is about survival. If one adaption ensures survival it is successful, but not necessarily the best. Read "The Blind Watchmaker", by Richard Dawkins for a pithy explanation of the process of evolution, backed by mounds of scientific evidence.
GwynforLwyd 1 year ago
So, essentialy he is trying to get someone who believes one thing to admit that those who have another religion than them are not right. Then he tries to snowball this up to break down your own beliefs. Problem is he is just saying things in a belittling matter, and skewing them, and then concludeing on his assertions. Maybe some evidence would be a bit more convincing, not just, "hey your wrong, so don't you see your wrong? duh!"

The divine by nature is something which exceeds our ability to define and test. When science doesn't show direct evidence of God, it shouldn't be shocking to anyone. It is not possible to prove that God doesn't exist, to make that assertion means you are taking a leap of faith.
SylvanusConant 2 years ago

@bighugejake... thanks for that, I was thinking the same thing. Belief in god may be delusional, but this fool is no better by naively lumping a billion people into one group of counteractive humans. Which was odd cause I was already relaxed. Like an invisible stone on my shoulders I never knew was there dissapearing.

the difference between the Christian religion and Mormon and Muslim is both of those were one man recording their own bible. Even in single celled organisms the DNA sequence is extremely complex.
carolina53535 2 years ago
Yes, but for those details to carry over, the change must be beneficial to the survival of the organism. So then how does a process (such as blood clotting) that requires a number of very specific factors to be present and in the correct order to operate come to exist? If the mutation only produces one of these factors, the process will not fully function and it will not be selected for.
carolina53535 2 years ago
carolina-
Not necessarily, the changes ONLY have to affect it's sex cells and be either beneficial, neutral, or harmful in a very minor way.
DbzmasterdbzNecross 2 years ago
Quick correction, DNA is not made of amino acids. It only codes for the sequencing of amino acids for creating proteins. DNA is a nucleic acid, a large macromolecule that requires a specific sequence of 4 nitrogeneous bases in order to make the needed proteins. How did this order come about? And in the complex double helix structure?
carolina53535 2 years ago
carolina-
Whoops, caught me on that one.
DbzmasterdbzNecross 2 years ago
To me, naturalism is not godless. Its god is time and chance. Give dead matter enough time and life will arise. Even though we dont really have any verifiable proof that it could occur. Its just placing your faith in something else that can easily be discredited.
The main difference between naturalism and Christianity is that naturalism fuels our human centered worldview. We can live for ourselves, however we want to live it. Christianity makes us deny ourselves in order to live for God.
carolina53535 2 years ago
carolina-
This is why I said that it's not fully polished. I believe in it very loosely all in all because it's really the only idea out right now with a scientific basis.
And we live for a lot of reasons. While you might be living just so you please god, someone might be living to better the lives of other people.
DbzmasterdbzNecross 2 years ago
And believing abiogenesis seems to require a huge leap of faith in itself. Electricity hits some chemicals in the early atmosphere and makes amino acids (not even proven to be true). So what? They cant replicate without a nucleic acid. They arent in a protective cell. Scientists automatically assume that there is a naturalistic explanation for life. Intelligent Design is ruled out for this reason, even though it can explain everything. Why couldnt God have created life as He stated in Genesis?
carolina53535 2 years ago
carolina-
First of all, the early earth had conditions that made the creation of life jump-started by energy (lightning in this case, which was very common back then) much easier. I'm no scientist and I've actually only just finished learning about the basic idea. Of course scientists assume there is a naturalistic explanation; science can ONLY support natural explanations, because the scientific method is based on repeated testing and observation.
DbzmasterdbzNecross 2 years ago
Since supernatural things cannot be tested, nor experimented on, they are irrelevant in science and therefore ignored. To just stick God in there because there's no answer right now is a fallacy, god in the gaps, where just because we're not sure about something or we don't know everything, god must have done it. You're right, it is an answer, but that does not make it the right one, it makes it a cheap and easy one. And science isn't supposed to be easy, it's supposed to be correct and real.
DbzmasterdbzNecross 2 years ago
Science does not have to only support naturalistic explanations. If good scientific procedure is performed, both creationists and naturalists will get the same results. It is in our interpretation of these results that a discrepancy arises. Interpretation will differ based on our individual biases and presuppositions. In my opinion a naturalistic explanation is not sufficient for the amazingly complex universe. From my view, a Higher Power is ESSENTIAL for explaining everything.
carolina53535 2 years ago
carolina-
That's right, but it HAS to undergo the scientific method. If it cannot for whatever reason, it is irrelevant. IE God will never, EVER be considered a scientific theory. And why is it essential? You're using god in the gaps again.
DbzmasterdbzNecross 2 years ago
I believe it is necessary because a naturalistic explanation just doesnt seem logical to me. How and why did our universe begin to exist? How was matter, time and energy created? The first law of thermodynamics states that energy cannot be created/destroyed, so where did it come from in the first place. Science doesnt have the answers (at least not yet) so we are taught to keep "faith" that science will find the answers in the future. But why should I trust this answer more than another?
carolina53535 2 years ago
carolina-
You're still using god in the gaps.
DbzmasterdbzNecross 2 years ago
Yet it still does not rule out that God did not do it. In the end it all comes down to how we choose to fill in the gaps in our knowledge.
Our beliefs define who we are, shape how we experience the world and give us overall direction in life. Personally, I can't base my beliefs on circumstantial evidence while I wait for the "real" answers to come. What if they never come? This life would have no purpose, and no hope for me.
carolina53535 2 years ago
@Necross,
This is a philosophical question, not a scientific one. Science does do some leg work for philosophy, but its not applicable in matters outside of the natural world - though logic still is.
@carolina
You are presupposing an objective meaning to life and are unwilling to accept the consequences of the Absurd. Life can still have purpose without god, only its a subjective purpose you find within the life experience. The truth isn't always edifying.
ZuzoFriend 2 years ago
Well the way it is presented in society, it is stated as if it is a fact. How is the general population supposed to know it is only a theory when all they ever hear is that we evolved from apes? School, media, you name it. Until not too long ago, I wasn't even aware that evolution could be questioned. That is until I did a little research of my own and found out that it was not as air tight as I was led to believe.
carolina53535 2 years ago
carolina-
It IS a fact.
DbzmasterdbzNecross 2 years ago
Being called a theory does not make it correct. Theories are just how we explain observed phenomenon. The theories you listed are relatively simple to test since they exist today. Evolution on the other hand is harder to test experimentally since it is said to occur over a long period of time. We can observe slight changes within a species (eg. bacteria becoming resistant to antibiotics). This is natural selection. But there is no evidence that the bacteria will become a completely new organism.
carolina53535 2 years ago
carolina-
Actually, yes it does.
DbzmasterdbzNecross 2 years ago

DbzmasterdbzNecross 2 years ago
And what if I started adding pieces of metal to the ball? What if i started adding wires to the ball? Anything, ANYTHING can change into something completely different if you gradually change it one detail at a time over a long period of time.

Just because you deem something as magical does not instantly make it false. How about the magical evolution of humans from apes? That seems pretty outlandish for any "rational human being" to believe. And if you say that there is empirical evidence for this truth, then where is the missing link? Under your logic, how many people are delusional for believing in evolution without having concrete evidence?
carolina53535 2 years ago
Evolution is not magical. You can see adaptation to conditions in people too: if they work hard jobs, they grow muscles. If they sit on their computers, their arses get bigger. That is evolution right there. No magic. And that proved evolution. Yup.
Breezewontspeak 2 years ago
I'm not refuting that that does happen. But that fails to account for how a completely new species can arise. Lifting weights does not change our genetic code, so these adaptations are not passed on to the next generation. There is NO true proof that all life originated from a single celled organism. It is still just a theory. Yet our society has seemed to accept it as fact. Seems pretty hypocritical that evolution can be widely accepted without true empirical evidence but other theories cannot
carolina53535 2 years ago
Have you heard about dog breeding? It takes onley a few generations to create a new race. In this case humans determinas which abilities will make you survive (i.e. If you do not have it we won't let you have puppies).
Evolution predict this to lead to a new race. ID predicts no change will occur. Which one was right?
utvres02 2 years ago
Nonetheless, they are still dogs. A new race of dogs are still dogs, even if they are different than their ancestors. This fails to explain how we evolved from single cell organisms into the complex beings that we are today.
I still find it extremely strange that we are sure that we evolved from apes when there is no fossil record to back this up. If science is all about using evidence to establish facts, then how is evolution so unquestionably correct without this crucial piece of evidence?
carolina53535 2 years ago
It isn't unqueastionable. It's just the best theory we have at the moment.

Neither is God, Jesus, the star that guides the Magi, the Miracles, the Resurrection nor the Ascension, but you don't seem to dispute that.

Trust me, if Christians weren't so pushy and hostile I'd have no problem with them and I'd wager that VERY few other people would.
califoniania 3 years ago 3
when i began my cofirm i thought they would be like "you must belive in god and you may never say god damn it" or something like that. But they are cool. they said to me that it was okay to go to church even if you didn't belive in god, and they didn't pushed me at all... i still donät belive in god, but i pray to him when i have problems anyway...
IdaRobler 3 years ago
Because the video states that religious belief's holds back the progression of humanity.

Gotta agree with califninia on this.
Christians get a tad maniacal when it comes to non-christians rights.
You're probably not a bad person; but you belong to a group that murders, rapes, molests, oppresses, and drags from their bumpers people they disagree with.
Because their fucking LEADERS TOLD THEM TO.

i and think you are kind or racist, just because some (or maybe most) christians are murders, rapers and so on dosn't mean everyone is. an life is so mutch better if you think possitive, when you meet a new person you'll take him for the best ;)

That goes on the assumption that evolution would not have just developed life differently to accommodate such differences.

"The Milk Jug, maybe that is just udder delusion?" it is, that is the whole point of the video.

the meaning of life is to show ourselves how much we have faith in God
atheist dun believe in God because it doesn't seems logical. if we know how God does things, we're God!
God has already given us enough evidence. we have to find it ourselves, not just reading the stories. The Bible is a book of faith
reanzzzzzzz 3 years ago

Buddha
