What I've meant about my saying on nationalism isn't a disease is that all people ought to be proud of their natioality because it shows the unique pedigree of the people in this world. However, when nationalism becomes a matter if people say that their nationality is SUPERIOR to others, then that's a disease without question. Oh, one more thing. Personally, I do believe that nationalism is NOT a disease because every Muslim foreigner in America hold theirs very dear to their hearts. I don't know about you, but what I've seen in the Muslim community, people think that once a person accepts Islam, he / she believes that one must become a Muslim immigrant with a fraudulent accent and adopting their cultural dress, etc. This is all I'm going to state here and I'm moving forward with my life, Peace.

@BlackSunsu Guess we'll have to disagree because I've met Muslims that care more about culture, tribalism, and sects and they care more about preserving that than uniting with their neighbors as one Ummah while the borders they're fighting to reserve divide them from the rest of their Muslim brothers. I am trying to come back to the deen so I'm not a scholar but we need to unite as Muslims, not as Sunni/Shiite/Sufi/Salafi/Malai­/African... Come help me with some more names...

In correcting Dr. Hosein, the so-called African / American Muslims didn't altered Islam in the first place so it's so damn unfair for him to say that. Second, when the Muslim Immigrants came to America, they weren't involved with giving invitation to Islam to the so-called African / Americans because they've kept to themselves and didn't teach them also everyone else here until W.
