Great Video!! Dornier 328 Turboprops are decent!! :D Although I rarely see them in Canada since we use De Havilland Canada Dash 8-100s, 300s and Q400s. Mostly Air Canada Jazz and Jazz Express Operates these.
T-props are suposedly more fuel efficient than jets. Which you'd think would mean 'slower, but more mileage'.
The Dornier 328 exists in both Jet and T-prop versions. The Jet is the same in every respect, fuel capacity being only slightly more. Yet it of course flies, faster & higher, but also a LOT further, on practically the SAME amount of fuel than the T-prop version. Thus begging the question. How can a T-prop be in any way better than a jet?
@xoio i guess ,the reason to use t-props is that they actually fly slower and have the STOL capability,so that added to the fuel economy, makes it ideal for the island hopping and mountain flyin(watch landing at lukla) no jet could land in those strips..... regards( the twin otter at full flaps have a landing speed of 65 kts)
flew on one from houston to branson and back my first time on a plane I FREAKIN LOVED IT! and i am scared of heights just the landing got me a little lol
