@94sss10 yamaha is equally if not better than seadoo. they have improved so much from what they were. i have a 2008 yamaha fx sho and a 2008 seadoo rxt-x and i prefer the yamaha.

I know Riva made a good intake/plate.
i agree, jetskis are better, i have a wave runner and i look like a pussie with my tricks (and i am a woman!) so i will buy a jetski soon and give that waverunner to my hubby (my hubby is a couch potato so he will be fine with it, it will be like having a couch on the water for him) so hell yeah jet skis are better like this guy would be so good at the jet sky but the equipment does not let him do many tricks. Wave runners are good to pull people on a board thought, that i do good

Those were the days! Those things were horrible right when they were brand new but spinning was the big then. Then they brought out the 701 VXR-Pro which was just plain scary. Sea-doo's XP was infinately better handling, looking and much better to hook up but the motors weren't as tough. I know someone with an old LX waverunner, 42hp and a WR3 which are both like new! It's amazing to drive them now!
Okay, for starters... the VXR is oil-injected. Don't dare pre-mix it. I'm not sure what waverunners you're talking about, but the VXR's have always been oil-injected. The 650 VXR is rated for one operator, one passenger. On most Yamaha waverunners, the owners manual tells you if the waverunner is flipped over, to turn it back over clockwise from the back. This keeps the submerged exhaust port to the high side without exhaust pressure. Most seadoos I believe are to be turned the other way.

I have the exact same seadoo. If you roll it and flip it back quickly it'll be fine. If you roll it and leave it for like 10 days it'll probably hurt it. The 650 is a 2 person but really only a 1. Make sure the fuel mixture is around 43:1. It says 50:1 but thats a little high.

Where the water is coming from depends on how you ride it. If the plug(s) are out, that's an obvious thing to check. If you ride one doing things like I do in mine, it'll be so loaded down with water in a matter of 20 minutes you'll have to take it in to drain. Most times when I bring mine in, the water is level with the bottom of the seat inside the engine compartment. Could be the seal around the engine compartment too. Is your bilge pump not working?
thanks for getting back to me , i was told under the waverunner there is a metal bar like thing you can use to flip it back over in the water an under that there is a seal or something the guy told me an that went bad one other time too well let me know what you think it could be the plug was in an the hull in great shape
I'm sure there's some kind of gasket around the coolant water intake, which is inside the impeller housing inside the safety grate under the waverunner. That could be what the guy is talking about.
So we used to own 2 650 VXR's and we rebuilt them 3 times. below the engine there is a small plastic box, about the size of a deck of cards hooked to a 5/8 hose that runs to the pump housing. this is called the bilge pump. At high speeds it sucks water out of the engine bay. Ours continuously got plugged at the Venturi valve that was connected to the main impeller housing. Unplug it if it is and it should work. Water probably comes from Hard Riding
@jjbird1023 That waverunner will be 20 years old next summer. We've been letting the intake grate come out of the water for, oh... about 20 years now. It's still running as great as the day we bought it. They're equipped with rev limiters to keep from blowing anything up when the load is off the engine. And that was in about 6-10 feet of water.
